  1. Welcome home Z and TB! I'll be in food porn withdrawal until be board Grandeur April 23. Speaking of food porn, your Katz's Deli photo almost did me in! And even though you won't be on board with us, I know your energy and humor will be!! xoxo Bonnie and Karl
  2. We’ll soon be able to book our Tokyo cruise excursions for April 2025 on the Explorer. Any suggestions about your Regent excursion experiences in Japan will be appreciated!
  3. Z and TB …love all your posts! Only thing better would be sailing with yous guys xoxo
  4. Loving your food porn, flower porn and most of all your incredible humor!! The best is being on a cruise with you both…second best is sharing your cruise here!! Love yous guys!! B and K
  5. And they get off when we board in Barcelona! So glad you’re now on board!!!
  6. Z, you haven’t even boarded yet and we’re already laughing at your posts!! Love to The (beautiful) Boss and you xoxo. B and K
  7. Just made the decision and booked the Majestic for a too short pre cruise stay in Barcelona. Also booked Blacklane. Thanks everyone for your great input and suggestions!! Bonnie
  8. No, I’m pretty certain there’s no switching option. I’m fine about taking the hotel credit and booking my own….just not sure, as I said, if it’s worth it. Had stayed once at another Regent pre cruise hotel (Juan something?) that was waaay out of the way. Guess I just prefer to be in “the middle of things” even if only for one night???
  9. I just received notification that our pre cruise hotel in April will be the Intercontinental Barcelona. It appears to require taxi/uber to city center. Since we only have the one night in Barcelona, I’m wondering if the hotel is worth the trade off for better location. We intend to use our own transportation to the ship regardless. Have previously stayed at the Majestic. The hotel was good and loved the location. Thanks!
  10. Hey, Socky Sunshine….we are in 785 in April. Have a sensational cruise. Pictures, please !
  11. Just to add to the above, the zip code is irrelevant IMO. My travel agent is based far away from me. First time I actually met her and others from her company was years after my first (of many many ) bookings with this great agency!
  12. Again, thank you Joanie, for taking us with you! Your comments, descriptions, photos and Humor are fantastic. Except, I’m not certain I’ll ever look at a zip lock bag the same again!!
  13. Next April we will be flying ITA Rome to Miami non stop. I’m also not too optimistic about the ITA flight, but being non stop makes it (hopefully) worth it! Loved every moment on the Splendor and look forward to hearing about your flight, hotel and of course the Splendor!!
  14. Love your review, comments, humor and writing style, Georgia Peach!!! Thank you for once again taking us along with you! Bonnie
  15. Ahhh, that’s it… I call it the 601 pole!!
  16. I often say that when I board an airplane I want to hear the flight attendant say “ YOUR SEAT IS TO THE LEFT”
  17. For so many obvious reasons, this has been one of the most important, dynamic threads I’ve seen in many years! Often in the past, on a significant or stressful thread, someone from Regent has chimed in. And sometimes that has ‘cooled the waters’ so to speak!! Just wonder if anyone at RSSC is monitoring this thread now, or have I missed something??
  18. Gpilon, Plates of Tapas and Pitchers of Sangria on the Majestic rooftop is perfection!! Enjoy every moment. And thanks for the Blacklane tip!!
  19. Sounds like a good plan! I really liked the Majestic…junior suite was excellent and service and location couldn’t be better!
  20. It was about 15 years ago that we were on the Navigator in #601. I remember that we were thrilled to get that suite as it was a bit bigger than others in the same category. I also remember that there was some kind of (narrow in diameter) small pole or floor to ceiling post near the bed. Hard to describe but it wasn’t a hindrance. I also remember that #600 and 601 were the same. And anchor noise was not a big deal.
  21. Thank you all for sharing your very experienced dealings with Regent Air. For the reasons I discussed in my original posting above, I will most likely continue using Regent Air, as my only airline status is with RA!!
  22. The horrific war in Israel brings up a far less significant issue ….. regarding Regent travel. I’ve always used Regent air mostly because I felt that in a war, covid shut down, whatever…it would be Regent’s responsibility to get me quickly and safely home or to the readjusted port. In a fast evolving crisis I didn’t want the stress of dealing with airlines or being on hold for hours trying to reschedule. Perhaps that would be easier than waiting for Regent to potentially zig zag my way home?? The ongoing and concerning thread you all are sharing aboard the Voyager prompts my thinking…..
  23. I agree with swansong…For the past many years, almost every pre cruise hotel has been seriously underwhelming! And the included transfer to port was such that we now Uber to the port, or arrange a private car. It is a shame as it does not reflect the outstanding experience once on board Regent!
