  1. I agree, the captain was very entertaining and helped to make the trip fun.
  2. Thanks for your great comments. They are appreciated. For those who are interested, our next trip is in May to Madrid and I will be blogging from there.
  3. I hope everyone who has been following my blog has enjoyed it. This is my last post, a number of photos of the Sky. It serves as a “tour” of the ship’s interior rooms. You can find it at www.travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think. Thanks for following along.
  4. Of course it’s up to the Chef. We were along for the ride.
  5. If you are interested in the Chef’s Table on the Sky, I just posted a blog piece on our experience, loaded with photos of the food. It was an enjoyable evening. You can see the post at www.travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think.
  6. If you are following along, I just posted our day in St. Maarten. Later I will be posting photos of the ship and of the Chef’s dinner. You can find all my posts at www.travelswithcappy.com. Just to tease you a little I thought I would give you a glimpse of a sunset photo taken from our balcony as we sailed. Enjoy.
  7. As far as the Sanctuary is concerned I discussed it in one of my blog entries. Simply said, you need to get there, in line, ASAP once you board the ship. The situation is that those on back-to-back cruises get a jump on the rest of us. The line starts moving at 12pm. By the time we got there at 11:40 there were a number of people ahead of us and when we reached the lady handling sign up there were almost no lounges left for the entire trip. So far, regarding shows, we saw a comedian who was very entertaining the first evening on board. We were at the 6:30 show. The next night was a production show, 5 Skys, which, in my opinion was excellent. I will comment on it later in the blog. All I can say, however, is if you want a good seat get there early. We arrived only about 10 minutes ahead and the entire theater was on the verge of overflowing with people. The other two nights we did not go to the shows. One night they had a magician and last night was a female vocalist. We did not go last night as we were late in St. Thomas and chose to dine at the show hour.
  8. The Bistro is very nice. We were lucky to dine al fresco. We were docked until 10pm and the weather was perfect. They tend not to serve outside on sea days or in windy or bad weather. We specifically asked to be seated outside and they honored our request.
  9. Good morning. I just proof read and posted our day in St. Thomas. You can find it at www.travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think. Today we are in St. Maarten. Weather is overcast and humid. I’ll be posting from here later today or tomorrow.
  10. Thanks to all of you who are following along. I only get to the boards now and then and, therefore, don’t respond too soon. I wish I could answer all of your questions but I don’t always know the correct information. As far as wine packages go, we purchased a premium beverage package so I don’t know about the wine packages. We get 15 alcohol beverages a day including wine. If I learn anything in the meantime I will let you know. Havensight is about a 1 1/2 mile walk to town although we did not walk in. I will be posting our day in St. Thomas tomorrow so you can read about our lazy day. Ft. Lauderdale was very nice. River Walk has, in my opinion changed a great deal. I do love Las Olas. We live in Camden County. Hope I have answered some of your questions.
  11. I just posted some photos of our cabin and of the outside decks. Today we are in St. Thomas and I hope to post from here later today or tomorrow. In the meantime, if you are interested you can fine todays post at www.travelswithcappy.com. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.
  12. Thanks Julie. I’ll keep my eye out for her. By-the-way, I hope to have some photos of the Sky up later today or early tomorrow. The ship is quite lovely. Cap
  13. Thanks. The internet is great on this ship and I hope to post, more or less, each day. It depends on our level of activity. Keep tuned.
  14. My wife and I are traveling on the Sky Princess, having embarked in Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, January 25, and, as I always do, I am blogging, to include numerous photos, about the ship and the ports of call. Feel free to check out my blog at www.travelswithcappy.com. Your comments, as always, are appreciated. Cappy
