  1. UPDATE: I did receive my refund at the beginning of this week. Although it did take them some time; the refund has finally posted to my credit card. It's a shame things are being handled the way they are.
  2. I am amongst those that have chosen to cancel and certainly NOT pleased with how Virgin Voyages has chosen to handle the cancellation/refund process. 7-10 business days for a refund is acceptable and practical to me. A month or longer is not. It has been very cat and mouse with them. I have followed up a couple of times now with them since my cancellation and still have not received a refund. I know I will get it eventually, but honestly their business practice of handling this the way they have has put me off from future consideration of cruising with them. The blanket answer from them is that all refunds have to be manually entered. How much information has to be put in for it to take this long one would wonder. More so, how many people that placed early deposits have cancelled? Good luck to those choosing to sail with them. I truly hope it is enjoyable. Perhaps they are going through growing pains? Safe travels to all!
  3. Hello all ! I am considering planning a bar crawl for a group of family and friends that will be sailing Western Caribbean itinerary on Harmony of the Seas. I wanted to start off @ Schooner Bar around 3pm. Does anyone happen to know what time this bar opens on a sea day for Western Caribbean? Thank you in advance for any replies! Safe travels to all!
  4. Hello all ~ I am currently booked on the Infinity in Ocean View stateroom 6002. It is a forward facing Ocean View. I just noticed that Ocean View stateroom 8002 is available for my sailing. This particular room is Starboard toward the front of the ship, however; it looks larger than other Ocean View staterooms. So my question for those with experience is: should I stay with 6002 for the unique view looking forward or should I go with 8002 because it would be considered to be a better room (is it actually larger??). Obviously opinions are subjective but I am open to feedback from those with experience. Thank you in advance! Safe travels to all! :)
  5. Thank you all for your responses. A lot of insight was provided and I’ll be sure to weigh my options before making a final decision. Thank you all again! Safe travels to all! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  6. Hello all! I am considering a 5 night sailing on Celebrity Infinity and two perks are offered as part of booking. My first choice would be the classic drink package for two. The three remaining choices are internet, gratuities or $150 each ($300) total on board spending. Here’s my question: Can I select the on board spending totaling $300 for the 5 night cruise and then while I am on the ship can I pay the $145 we would owe for gratuities from the $300 on board credit?......which will essentially leave me with $155 to spend on board OR is it not possible to pay for the gratuities with the on board credit they give us? Thank you in advance for your responses! Safe travels to all! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Forums

  9. The terminal should be ready by mid October/beginning of November. The first ship to dock and sail from there will be the Symphony. The Symphony is scheduled to dock at the new terminal on November 4 and set sail on November 5. There is a parking garage actually attached to the new terminal. The Symphony and Allure will definitely be sailing from the new terminal. The Mariner currently sails from terminal G and is more than likely to continue to do so. The Empress usually sails from terminal G, but has been known to sail from terminal J depending on how many ships are in port. The Empress will also sail from Terminal F on occasion. The Navigator will sail from either terminal A or terminal G depending on ship traffic. Hope that was of some help. Safe travels to all! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  10. I have a wedding booked for April 2019 on RCCL Harmony of the Seas. We are bringing our own wedding officiant ( she is a dear friend). However, we live in Florida where the cruise departs from and she is a certified notary in the state. She can legally perform the ceremony and notarize our marriage certificate. We will have 2 witnesses sign as well. In respect to photographers, RCCL does not allow you to bring on your own professional photographer. You can pay extra through one of the photography packages offered when planning your details. They also do not allow for real flowers or plants to be brought on board. So, if you happen to be considering this, you could go with silk or other creative ways to create some wedding decor. Good luck with your wedding and planning! Safe travels to all! 11. Thank you everyone that has replied thus far! Choice B is what I ended up deciding on. Works a little better into travel plans and is a little further into the start of the year. I also have become very interested in Halong Bay. The trip will be in February 2020. If I pick Choice A it has me traveling less than 2 weeks into the New Year and with wrapping up the holidays with family I thought this itinerary would be more workable. I appreciate all of the information and insight provided thus far. I will continue to read along in hopes that others will continue to respond. The cruise is booked, however; it can be cancelled/changed without penalty. I have been to Indonesia before and love it. I’m actually returning this October for a 30 day land trip. Thank you all again and safe travels to all! [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
  12. Hello fellow cruisers! I have some questions that I'm hoping some experienced Celebrity cruisers can answer for me regarding cruising in SE Asia. I am currently booked on Celebrity Millennium ~ 14 nights with the following itinerary: Singapore, Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), Nha Trang (Vietnam), Danang (Vietnam), overnight in Taipei (Taiwan), Kagoshima (Japan), Okinawa (Japan), and finishing up with an overnight in Hong Kong. My questions surround me considering doing a B2B and not being familiar with the itineraries. So my question would be, if you were to do a B2B, which leg would you choose to add from the choices below, Choice A or Choice B. If you have any specific reasons or experiences that make you lean one way or the other I'd appreciate you sharing. The prices are exactly the same for the type of stateroom I am considering so price is not playing a major factor. Here are the choices I have and thank you in advance for any replies! Choice A - 14 nights (sailing BEFORE current itinerary): embark and overnight in Singapore, Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), Boracay (Philippines), Manila (Philippines), overnight Hong Kong, Nha Trang (Vietnam), Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), Singapore OR Choice B - 14 nights (sailing AFTER current itinerary): embark and overnight Hong Kong, overnight Hanoi ~ Halong Bay (Vietnam), Danang (Vietnam), Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), overnight Bangkok (Thailand), and finishing up with an overnight in Singapore I know this is a bit wordy, but for those of you that take the time to read it and reply I really do appreciate it! Thanks again! Safe travels to all! :)
  13. I just read this recently published article in The Miami Herald.... Virgin’s adults-only ship will have a boxing ring and a pool — but no plastic strawshttps://www.miamiherald.com/news/business/tourism-cruises/article215222910.html Safe travels to all! 14. Thank you for starting this thread and including the great pictures! I will be cruising on Celebrity Millennium in February 2020. Although the cruise is some time away, this thread has been a wealth of information. The hotel recommendation of the Andaz Singapore has really captured my attention! Great reviews and certainly is a stay that would interest me. I would like to plan a stay for about 7 days prior to cruising to enjoy Singapore. Does anyone know if the Andaz Singapore hotel is close to the cruise port? Thanks again for the thread and any replies to my question! I will be sure to post a link to this thread for the roll call of our sailing. Safe travels to all! :)
  15. Here’s another news article from The Miami Herald; describing how the NCL crew member that went overboard had posted on his social media account 2 weeks prior an account of another individual that had gone overboard and survived. He also made some other comments indicating he was dealing with some stressors. Hopefully the opportunity he’s been given will allow him to work things out and live a long healthy life. Safe travels to all! :) Here’s a link to the article: He posted on Facebook about a man going overboard. Weeks later, he plunged into the seahttps://www.miamiherald.com/news/business/tourism-cruises/article214216769.html Sent from my iPhone using Forums
