  1. If it says "must"....I wouldn't take the chance. Fill out the form and be done with it.
  2. On the Caribbean P I was able to get lemonade in the MDR AND hot/cold chocolate (which they charge you for in the Buffet).
  3. I will be doing the Greenland/Iceland cruise. We will get within 26 miles of the Arctic Circle. It's a really tough call. I would have preferred... Arctic Circle (for the certificate) Iceland Greenland But you have to do multiple voyages. The best scenario seems to be Norway Arctic Circle Iceland From my research, there is very little to do in Greenland, except to say you got there (if you do).
  4. I was in isolation for Covid. Went in around dinner time. They counted number of nights. I had breakfast and released after spending 2 nights in the cabin. As mentioned by MANY previous posts, I made sure to get my Medical History ($28).
  5. I’m a one and done statistic. But now will have to try the cakes. In all my days of cruising, I never had the ambition to try out the classes.
  6. And another wonderful journey begins. Malama Pono ..take care and safe travels.
  7. Thank you for this information. I thought it was 2 classes per day. Not that I have ever taken advantage nor plan on attending any. Just out of curiosity, how many Plus/Premier passengers actually use this perk? I’m betting more eat two sundaes verses attending 2 classes. Helpful hint…think of deck 7 as a higheay that will take you from one end of the ship to the other. The other decks are similar to streets. The Aft dinning room is a cul-de-sac with limited access on deck 6. Plan on being in the theatre 20-30 minutes if you want good seats, aisle seat, or want to sit together. Try out all the different food venues, especially the International Cafe. If there are any dietary needs, be sure to me up with the Assistant Manager (in green/white jackets). They will be helpful in planning your meals.
  8. Thanks. How could I have forgotten. But isn't the Sundae's part of her legacy? I am sure the Peanut Butter cookies have butter. I wouldn't taste as good if it had lard. I know nothing about Britto. Is it gone? If that is the case, the Sun has more things missing than it has operational.
  9. How long will he last? Think: Curtis Stone Share Norman Love desserts Please feel free to add your recollections
  10. A very long time ago, Princess would auction off the chart used for your cruise. There would be one and only one original. It was quite the prize. I never participated.
  11. I was looking for a place to add this link. This seems like a good time. You have a good doctor and must feel very relieved that he was able to provide you with good medical advice (can't cruise this year) and that no further surgery is required. But...there goes your son's entire summer vacation! He is young, he will bounce back. It only took one cruise without insurance for me to learn my lesson. I am pleased to hear that Princess came through for you. Your approach was level headed and Customer Service was compassionate. This was the "old" Princess, but happy to see that Princess still has it hidden in her back pocket. https://apple.news/At6vIKVaJS16L0OxyXI3NBQ
  12. I liked the Hampton Inn with it's free breakfast. With 3, I would opt for an UBER rather than pay the hotel transfer fees. Plus you "might" beat the crowds. Get to the port early (leave hotel 10/10:30) and enjoy embarkation lunch in the MDR from noon to 1:30). I will enjoy following your live although I am not a fan of the Royal Class ships. Your writing style is very user friendly.
  13. They will scan your medallion like they do at the bar. Looks like you were able to dock in Nuuk. That's a plus.
  14. Everyone (including me) have enjoyed this main stay production show on the Island and her sister ship, the Coral. I've seen it multiple times on the Coral and never tire of the content. You must book a cruise on the Coral. What a difference between the sisters. As for the perfume...what are people thinking. We were seated in the dining room enjoying out meal when this "lady" comes in. My waiter, then assistant manager came over and asked if we preferred to continue our dinner in a different location. I guess they deal with this more often than we are aware of it.
  15. Then there is the dreaded message. I've heard of the Medallion going from Point A to B to C to D, before coming back across the continent. I understand that the battery doesn't last very long and hence the 14 day window. But you would think (oops) there must be a better method of shipping. Message has not changed in 6 days. On Its Way to USPS Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item CARSON, CA 90746
  16. I have been on many cruises and have always wanted to order the dirty banana (minus the alcohol). Just as I was going to do this on my next cruise. Now...what am I to do? bummer
  17. Medicare will generally not pay for a wheelchair. Can you borrow one from someone for this cruise? It may be worth the investment if she will need to use one while on board the ship. Maybe even a rollator would be a good investment. They come with a seat and will provide here with some stability. (Not covered either). But there is a small learning curve. Best to practice at home.
  18. Happy Anniversary @xyankee. Might as well spend your kid’s inheritance, you’re worth/earned every penny.
  19. Yes, but the wait for assistance might be long. How will she get around the ship?
  20. You had such good luck in Alaska with the Northern Lights. Doesn't look promising for this cruise. https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/27-day-outlook-107-cm-radio-flux-and-geomagnetic-indices
  21. When the bookings first open is the best time to get an accessible cabin for Alaska. They are prime real estate. Anywhere from 18 months to 24 months out.
  22. Those passports and stickers were so reliable! Better than any app. So of course, they got rid of them.
  23. I don’t know if there is a technical term…but you got the message!!! Congrats. Yes, but not sure if they are around any longer. Big Box stores are my friendly go to for boxes now. I find them a really good way for me to pack my luggage too.
  24. @startedwithamouse I was on her sister ship (the Diamond) in March 2023. Your information would be more accurate. Thanks for providing better content.
