  1. Most likely, Crown Princess is due to operate on the South America runs, IMHO!

Until early Dec 2016, she is going to sail West Coast/Mexico and Hawaii, and in March/April 2017, she will do Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale, and her Americas schedule shows a huge gap between that.

So I see her doing South America in winter 2016/17.

Max that is exactly what we are thinking.

We want to do South America 2017 and are justing waiting waiting waiting for the schedule to come out!

  2. Hi there

Can anyone tell me if you could use an FCC for the third person in the cabin and still get the OBC for them. I just seem to recall seeing somewhere there was an issue with OBC for the third person.

No point phoning Princess as I am likely to get a different opinion depending on who i speak to lol But i am sure someone here has done this in the past, with some first hand experience.

    thanks

  3. Can anyone shed any light on why, when searching Dec. 2016 (our annual Christmas cruise) and April 2017 (my 60th b-day) ONLY Australia cruises show up, but nothing out of FLL??? When do CC members believe I will be able to find these? Just seems strange if they can post these dates for Oz, why not fleet wide? Thanks!

This is the million dollar question lots of us are asking!

  4. Thank you so much for your comments, we were thinking of changing cabins but you have put my mind to rest. We just didn't want another noisy cabin as we have just returned from a cruise on the Adonia and had a terrible noise in the ceiling which kept us awake so just looking for a bit of peace and quiet.

This is a photo of the same cabin balcony but on the Star Princess (same layout as P&O) and a photo of your 'private corridor'

  5. We have just booked cabin C752 on the Azura and found it is next to the crew staircase. Has anyone stayed in this cabin and if so did you experience any noise issues with staff using the stairs or banging of the door leading to the stairwell. The reason I am asking about this is because we were on the Ventura last year in the middle of the ship and it was very noisy due to door slammers. We are looking for a quiet cabin and thought we would try the aft so any advice would be welcome.

This is a brilliant cabin you will not be disappointed. It has its own corridor - the crew staircase only gets used for muster. It's an extremely quiet area. The balcony is fully covered and large and gives you a full 180 degree aft view. We have stayed in this cabin a few times now and just love it.

  6. It depends if you are in Southampton UK or in a US port for changeover. In the UK it is my understanding you don't need to get off the ship. However in the US. (We have done this a few times). You can either get off early and do something for the day (remember to take your passport and new cruise card with you) or they gather you in one Of the dining rooms and walk all the in transit people off together you walk pass an immigration person show your passport and then fairly quickly reboard.

Breakfast is available as room service for in transit people. This helps as you are not in the rush of disembarking passengers.

Our on board account. Is simply moved with the outstanding balance to the next cruise (however we have always stayed in the same cabin). Settle it at the end if in same cabin

I believe if you need to move cabins the room stewards assist you. However some have said it is better to talk to your new room steward and he will try to ensure your new room is made ready quickly for you. I believe all hanging clothes are simply moved on a rail.

If you can I would suggest trying to have the same cabin its just easier.

You Only need to go to the first muster drill.

  7. Just off the Star Princess (15 March 2015). Our cabin (C752) TV had 3 HDMI ports and one AV port. One HDMI port (HDMI 3) and the AV port were on the left had side of the TV looking at the screen, very easy to access.

The remote had an input button that gave access to all the inputs. Hope this helps.

  8. UK travel agents try to make a 'Package holiday' in order to make the long flight worth while. A lot of UK cruisers will take this option.

We however like to book independently so we control all elements of our holiday - so on our last Hawaii cruise we chose to stay in SFO for three days before the cruise. To relax and get our jet lag sorted!

  9. Sorry but R737 isn't available now :D I searched and found they are good cabins particularly for this cruise where the view is everything!

Thanks for the great tip :) I wouldn't have booked there because of noise from the buffet but R737 is under carpet it seems and many said it was their fav cabin. :D

So glad I could help. It's just 20 steps to the secret door onto the Terrace Pool I walked it when on the Star last month. (Same layout).

    Enjoy.

  10. Hi there Shogun

What a brilliant price. The balconies are going for £2,399pp

I just looked at inside cabin availability and notice there are inside cabins aft on deck 14 Riveria R737 and R741 still available. (These cabins only sleep 2 so none of those nasty wall beds to knock your head on)

These cabins are just steps away from outside space. Straight out onto the Terrace Pool area. Great for scenic viewing at a bargain price. Good spot on the price - go for it!

  11. We have experienced the Crab Shack three times since it started.

once on the Island Princess in the buffet area. On the Royal last October also in the buffet area. Then just recently on the Star Princess where the Crab Shack took over Sabetini's for four separate nights over our 15 day cruise to host this.

We have always had great food and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences.

  12. INMHO, If you paid for 3 people in the suite then it should be for all 3. The other perks (laundry, internet, etc) aren't limited to the first 2 passengers in the suite.

Actually you no longer get internet for suite passengers unless they are Platinum or elite loyalty members. This suite perk was taken away quite a while ago. You do get laundry however.

  13. We were booked into the port side aft-facing balcony on Caribe for one cruise. LOVED the cabin. Would take it again in a heartbeat. We actually turned down a mini for very little more because we wanted that specific cabin.

We love the aft balconies too especially on caribe deck. We also turned down a mini to stay in C752 on the Star. We sail tomorrow can't wait

  14. Hi there

We are on the Star Princess with you guys! The first formal night will have the Champange waterfall. It's an opportunity for you and the girls to have your photo taken with the Matre'd as he pours the champers over the glass waterfall. The Capt also gives a little speech and introduces the senior officers. It all takes place in the atrium. Enjoy
