Sorry marie, should have written more nervous about visiting London than Barcelona. Glad your niece felt safe when she was there last week.

If hc cabins were given out to everyone plus size who asked for one it seems a bit unfair that someone in a wheelchair for example wouldn't be able to get a room because they would all be taken.

It does make me a little more nervous and we are sailing from Barcelona in October but I lived through the Troubles in NI and don't want terrorists to win. I'm actually more nervous about visiting London than Europe.

We were on Epic June 2015 and expected the dress in the evenings to be very casual and we would have been smart causal but everyone was dressed so nicely and people had really made an effort. It was so much more like people going out to a restaurant, didn't see shorts etc. I guess it just depends on the other passengers as well.

Sea-bands work really well for me. I prefer to try anything natural and so far so good with the bands.

I would definitely recommend eating in luminae, it was a real highlight of our suite experience. Seems a shame to not use it although I understand maybe your travelling companions want you to eat with them. No comparison to MDR though.

Our butler was attentive and also gave us his number if there was anything at all we required. I read some people found butler not around much but we always knew how to contact ours if we needed him. We don't tend to use butler very much at all so I can't really pass on any tips.

Single door doesn't bother me however it is my sister's room so we shall see. I will be in 6131. Any one have photos of the inside of the room so I can see the layout??? Thanks.

Hope you enjoy your trip. We were in 6131 Aug 30th sailing last year and totally loved the suite. We had very quiet neighbours, no noise from elevators and balcony size was great as long as you are aware there isn't a lot of privacy. Enjoy :)

Can you only ask for an upsell if you booked direct with NCL?

We were only in Istanbul once as a port call and also stayed overnight before flying home the next day at end of cruise. I absolutely hated it as everyone from taxi drivers to ice-cream vendors were trying to charge us higher prices as we were tourists. Thank goodness we knew what prices should be and didn't get caught out but it really annoyed me. We had to get a taxi to the airport from the hotel and it was a white knuckle ride. It's one place I never wish to return to.

It's a big worry these days with these lunatics around and I'm sure many cruisers are concerned if Istanbul is a port of call.

I hope you found your roll call. We always go to the meet and great, it's a great way to meet everyone you have been chatting to on the threads.

We have been very fortunate with our cruises as we tend to go outside school holidays. We did one cruise over Christmas which was totally ruined by the children onboard and have never gone at Christmas again.

I will be in the haven a month from today and I think I will take a new updated video as well as pictures

are there any sun parasols for sun-shade? Just booked Haven as a real treat and DH has recently been diagnosed with skin cancer and from pics i don't see any parasols :(. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks.

NOOOOOO. I can't vote on I-pad. One reason we love Celebrity is the one chance a year for DH to wear a tux and for me to wear a formal dress. I love the formal nights. I hope they don't stop, there are enough cruise lines that are casual and relaxed. Please keep the formal evenings.

Though I'm laughing so much at the spellcheck it does sound like OP had a dreadful time. We cruised with NCL for the first time in June,previously celebrity cruisers and we had a brilliant time. Disembarkation was actually the best we have ever had, staff so friendly and helpful and we were very impressed indeed. I'm sorry your experience wasn't as good.

We cruised on Summit for the first time in August and really loved it. Bit smaller than some we had been on previously and turned out to be one of our favourites. Staff are so friendly and helpful and I didn't get lost so much 😄

Great tips from everyone. We also upgrade on the drinks package and then you can really enjoy your wines. Have a great trip.

Not sure what age group you are. I've eaten in both and I feel Quisine would have really appealed to me if I had been 20's, or 30's. Loved the quirkiness of it and the ordering. Food good in both but prefer Tuscan now that I'm mid 50's.

I got Scandinavia and the Baltics. Would be great to win a cruise. Fingers crossed.

Door decorations are always fun to look at. Just do your room attendant a favor and at the end of your cruise, remove all the tape yourself.

Exactly what I was going to say as they have enough to do on disembarkation day.
