My best guest would be because of the price. There is a $55.00/pp surcharge.
If they think that $55 will be that much of a deterrence, then why not lower it and offer it every evening? And possibly more than once an evening? It smells of a marketing tactic to me.

Hi Kenomed. First time for us as well. I'm hoping for a little more relaxation-oriented experience as well as a better culinary experience.
-
I'd like to know about the fitness center/spa. Guess that's last.
Me too! :D

Well, no big reveal today. ☹️
X Reps did mention that “The Petit Chef” experience in Le Grand Bistro can only be booked on board and is supposed to only occur once a sailing but because interest has been so great it may be offered twice a sailing.
They also said that the reveal next month will be on Entertainment. It could possibly include the Bars too, since they remarked that that info was going to be coming “very, very soon”.
Why would it be offered only once or twice a sailing? Supply and demand? I've suddenly lost interest.

Thanks, hcat. The Solarium pool sounds like it will be a nice place to escape the noise and relax. It just occurred to me that if I look on youtube, I might be able to find videos of these areas on other X ships. :) I'm assuming one can buy day passes for X spas.

I'm looking forward to a spa reveal. As this will be our first Celebrity cruise, can anyone tell me about Persian Gardens? Do they generally have therapy/spa pools? We bought a full spa pass on the NCL Epic and it saved the day. The cruise was crazy full and the pool decks crowded.
Speaking of a sore subject--should we be prepared to walk onto the pool deck at 9:00 am and find all the lounges empty but "saved"? Thinking back, I don't think the problem was too bad on RCCL and not a problem at Disney's adult pool at all.

Am booked for Eden and the Rooftop Grill for my December preview cruise.

I'm hemming between Eden and Le Grand Bistro and Eden and Rooftop. I love dining outside, but I'm just not excited about the menu.

etravel, I think Celebrity chooses your MDR if you have if you have the early or late seating--but not your specialty restaurants. We have the Select Dining option, so I can choose and book our MDRs now. :)
I'm curious what specialty restaurants people are wanting to book and why? I want to eat at Raw on 5 as well (on the MC if possible), but I'm thinking that might be a nice place to stop by for lunch without a res and pay a la carte.

Thank you for all this great information! I just booked the four main dining rooms. Now my question is going to be whether I buy the three specialty dining package and wait until on board to book ($109 pp?) or if I just book Eden and Le Grand Bistro now ($90 pp). First world problems.

Are the Aqua cabins/Blu/Spa usually in close proximity?
-
We have select dining, and while I haven't tried to book any dining reservations, I am showing the ability to choose my restaurant and time in half hour increments. I thinking maybe I should book four reservations at each of the MDRs for the coveted 7:00 or 7:30 pm time slot now. I can always try to adjust them later.

I thought I read something about Raw on 5 being the Magic Carpet's restaurant. Well, at least when it's on Deck 5. Not sure what they will do when it's at the top of the ship.

After our last cruise on the NCL Epic, I'm all for any public areas that are open and don't feel like an aged mall.

Follow this thread link below started by our good CC friend, Lloyd. He is really great at finding cruise chip construction photos and updates.

Thanks for the link. :)

We sailed the Disney Dream a couple months after its inauguration. It was fun to see building updates and pictures on the Meyer Werft website. Do you think STX will do the same with the Edge? I've done a little googling but other than learning the steel was cut in November, I didn't find much.

I love what they've shown so far. I'm booked in a infinity balcony. Priced against the Equinox for a similiar cruise and date, there was about a $200.00 difference. I can live with that, given it's a new ship.
I did the same and came up with the same figure. That was the push to get me to book. :)

We booked an E4 with Go Best promo for 3/3/19. This is only our fourth cruise, and I've planned any vacation this far in advance. But I NEED this Infinite Balcony.
any news on when the next reveal will be?

And there you go! Win for X. (And that would be "fill the restaurant one or two nights.) ;p
