  1. Makes me feel better about the slightly higher prices I paid to book directly with airline. The HAL website is seriously deficient with FlightEase being even more infuriating. On rare occasions that the FlightEase pages loaded I’d input everything and then get a message that it couldn’t be booked. Every. Single. Time.
  2. I actually got the website to load this afternoon but after putting everything in, no luck. the agent earlier tried to give me a number to call that showed on her screen. But it was the number I had called.
  3. So the website won’t work. I called. Agent was not very versed in travel, actually. She kept trying to book for the wrong day. Wouldn’t listen to my preferences for class of airline. Finally she gets to the flight I’d told her we wanted. Go through everything. Names ready to go. All set. The computer there won’t work either. Can’t book. Forty minutes on the phone and nothing.
  4. It’s awful. It is rivaling the incompetence of the Marriott Vacation Club website.
  5. we got off the ship, walked across the parking lot to Dunkin Donuts and got a Lyft. The ride to the airport was super fast. the lines to get into the HAL buses was unreal
  6. I will never understand while all lines except Disney put the upper berth over the main bed. On DCL it is over the sofa bed so they look like bunk beds and there is a heavy curtain you can pull between the bed and the bunks
  7. I was just on Zuiderdam in a Neptune so we used the priority line in MDR. It was great. There was never anyone in line and they helped us immediately. next trip is. NS on a pinnacle class ship. If I want to eat in MDR and not CO, there is no special line, correct? I saw photos of the CO soace and it honestly looked like a diner. I hope they were old photos. (On NS)
  8. If we book with flightease, does the cost get added to the total for mariner status, the $300 = 1 night thing. and can we pick seats at the time we book or not until final payment? That alone might be a deal breaker for me
  9. This is what I have gotten. Every day for a week. I want to price airfare. Very frustrating. I don’t recall seeing hotels listed. Do they only get offered if I use their air? I would have priced their pre cruise hotels this trip if I had found the offerings.
  10. There was one cool must type of shower with scents. The others were just showers. The tile loungers look out windows. The thermal pool has shades that keep the main pool and people headed to elevators from looking in. One day it was too hot to use. Next day they had been repaired.
  11. On the ships with a Club Orange restaurant I am guessing Neptunes/CO lose the priority line in MDR? is the menu the same both places?
  12. Hydro pool yesterday was so hot we couldn’t get in. I felt a hot tub on Lido as we were leaving and it was much cooler. Something was very wrong.
  13. I just looked at insure my trip website for my own next cruise and several policies had an option to add on cancel for any reason coverage.
  14. I’m pretty sure I saw upon boarding this week it could be done upon boarding before the package was ever used. the upgraded package covers up to $15 instead of $11. It would take a lot of glasses a day to make up the package difference when you only pay the amount above $11(or $15)
  15. I’ve never heard of tipping guest services so I assumed they were salary and paid a fare wage. Just an assumption on my part. In any case I’d like to use OBC for concierge and additional for a few people and don’t know how to do so.
  16. I would like to use OBC credit to tip the Neptune Lounge concierge (who would not be in the regular pool) and to give extra to cabin stewards. Do I ask the concierge for a form to sign? It isn’t like there is a bill as from a bar where I can add additional.
  17. I’m onboard now. Dressy night was last night. I’d say most women were in “church dresses.” There were some “sparkly dresses”. I only saw one couple who didn’t dress up at all and zero tuxes. It was a great meal. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and happy in whatever they chose to wear it could have been completely different in a different venue or time, but that’s what I saw.
  18. I’ve actually never not had it right away. It’s been sitting outside for 4 hours. Maybe I’ve just been lucky previously
  19. I wondered if the literature had been incorrect or the rescinded the change. in other news so much for priority bags. It’s so odd. People boarding now are having the metal carts of luggage sent straight into the ship. I boarded early and see my bags in a stack of bins that are not being touched for loading.
  20. A month or so ago someone found documentation stating drinks at the sign for bar in Neptune Lounge were not included. I just boarded today and they are included in the HIA package. Boarding in Quebec was easy without waits. MDR not open for lunch. Several suites had the same issue….no keys waiting for them. Concierge went downstairs to get them. Dive In open with several grab and go selections. SO easy! No luggage yet though at shortly after 1.
  21. Can we use the first day? I am boarding Z on Saturday and have the package reserved.
  22. I would definitely continue with the children’s automatic gratuities also. Kids are more work for the staff. They have to make up the extra beds. It’s two more sets of towels and trash to remove and if they are little, likely the inevitable cheerios on the carpet. And again if young I bet the dining staff go out of their way to make the meals fun for the littles.
