  1. This is a question for anyone who has applied for a vaccine exemption with Holland America. I'm wondering how long it took to get your exemption after you applied? Thank you in advance.😊
  2. We're waiting for a definitive answer to the b2b question too. Ours was booked as a collector cruise, but it's still a b2b.
  3. I'm not asking about testing; I'm asking about needing to be vaccinated.
  4. AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonder how this would work for b2b cruises that are less than 15 days individually, but total out to more than 15 days, that are booked as a "collector cruise"? Anybody know?
  5. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/28031-norwegian-cruise-line-drops-vaccination-requirements-and-bookings-accelerate.html
  6. I doubt very much that would be a successful business model for any cruise line, including HAL.
  7. HAL has been sailing with vaccination requirement for over a year now. How much longer would they have to wait until "doing anything" was outside the realm of "right away"?
  8. All of the rigmarole surrounding COVID is what gives me the most pause concerning whether or not to cruise. Will they still be demanding vaccination? testing? how much testing? Are they gonna make you mask up again? Inside? Just in the shows? Inside and outside? Between bites or sips? Nope, that is not a vacation. I get the part about needing to stay quarantined if you get sick; that makes sense; that has always made sense.
  9. I'm very hopeful that the cruise lines will be able to transition away from the CDC expecting them to be Nurse Ratched, and back to the hospitality and vacation business.
  10. Dropping the pre-cruise testing in Europe is baby steps in the right direction.
  11. There were 3 reasons that Taters presented (and I quoted), not just vaccination. I believe those are the 3 biggest reasons ships are not sailing full. You're still free to disagree, of course.
  12. I'd say they're the biggest reasons that ships aren't sailing full.
  13. Yup, but that's not a popular viewpoint on this forum, so I'm guessing it'll be deleted.
  14. You don't run a successful hospitality industry by treating your customers like plague carriers until proven otherwise~ not for long, anyway. Just my opinion, but there it is.
  15. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and I hope all goes well for you.
  16. Let's just hope they don't rename Casual night "Undressy".😉
  17. The guy in the khaki fishing vest with pockets all over it was my husband; your husband was just jealous 😉 Okay, I'm totally lying, but my husband does have a fishing vest EXACTLY like that, but he probably wouldn't wear it for gala night, unless he first had it cleaned to get the fish guts off of it.ðŸĪŠ
  18. I think the same is true of not wearing a mask. Absolutely no one's business, and to each his or her own.
  19. This is just my opinion, of course, but maybe it's time to unpin this thread from the board? We have long been out of crisis mode, and most of us are just living our lives, with or without permission from others. Again, just my opinion. But I believe my opinion matters as much as anyone else's opinion on this board.
  20. With so many posters piling on the "shame on you" bandwagon, wouldn't you disappear?
  21. For us, it's a non-issue, as we don't drink alcohol, and usually just drink ice water with our dinner.
