  1. We are from mainland Europe and today departing for Canada/New England and making use of our Travel Wifi, with a package for north America, that includes both US and Canada, for up to 3 devices.
  2. On board they will be able to assist you at the front desk, maybe an advantage in stead of updating at home.
  3. Version 4.40 is now available. To find your current version press "Experiences" in the center bottom banner with the ship and then press "about". Quote "Update is about some minor performance enhancements and fixed some bugs below deck to make your experience even better." Unquote
  4. Hello Jaap, would be interested in if and how you succeed and also what cabin you end up in, which would be a lotery naturely. Follow up would be appreciated.
  5. Just learned that in Montreal during the weekend we will have our cruise departure (the weekend Aug 29 - Sep 2), there is something called the Montreal Fetish Weekend going on. Anybody any information what this is about?
  6. We have never bought the Quench package nor any other package, but are now considering buying this package on embarkation day. Will this be available in the Navigator App after checking in, or do we have to buy this via frontdesk or something like that? I have tried to do a search in this forum, but couldn’t come up with the right search criteria.
  7. Thanks Tony, I also have special link with all 3 Rotterdam's. We both have cruised on Rotterdam VI and the new Rotterdam VII, but I also was honored to get to visit the SS Rotterdam while she was still actively cruising in 1983. The Dutch Navy ship I was stationed on, met the SS Rotterdam in the Caribbean and we were docked together in La Guaria, Venezuela. I was lucky to be among several Dutch crew members who were invited to take a tour on board SS Rotterdam, including a visit to the bridge, a very nice gesture by the SS Rotterdam crew! Greetings from both of us !
  8. You can find all of the history of the Holland America Line tiles over here; https://tonrijppaert.nl/en/
  9. Be sure to not only look at the map of the cruise, but also the itinerary. If for instance you are looking at the August 31st 2024 departure from Montreal, the map shows Rockland, but the itinerary actually shows Portland, so are the official port authorities for Portland indicating, so don't always believe the map on the website!
  10. Depending on the number of cruise ships on that day, you will be docked downtown, so you are right there!
  11. Nothing new and also not port dependent, got them in 2021 and 2022 season in Alaska and Mediterranean. Text wasn’t there during 150 year anniversary season, but has returned now. We have early printed tags for upcoming 2024 and 2025 cruises with the 150 anniversary logo without the text and if we print tags today for the same cruise, logo has disappeared and disembarkation text reappeared, same as in 2021 and 2022. These tags are for Canada and Fort Lauderdale.
  12. In addition to the previous posts, after the restart, the new tags were introduced with adding the note "THIS IS ALSO YOUR DISEMBARKATION TAG. PLEASE KEEP ATTACHED". During the 150 year anniversary season sailings, the luggage tag was again modified showing the 150 year anniversary logo but without the note "THIS IS ALSO YOUR DISEMBARKATION TAG. PLEASE KEEP ATTACHED" Currently the tags have changed back again to the ones used after the restart, with the return of the note "THIS IS ALSO YOUR DISEMBARKATION TAG. PLEASE KEEP ATTACHED"
  13. Well, This was the TV in a similar cabin on Volendam that we had in 2017, so obviously replaced, although not as big, but bigger and newer than the old versions still!
  14. Looking at the information about cabins on both of the R class ships (2023 and newer pictures) on a website that we cannot mention here, both inside and outside cabins on the lower decks, all appear to have new flat-screen (interactive) TV's. Not as big as on the Vista, Signature and Pinnacle class ships, but bigger than the old TV's that they succeeded. Assuming that all cabins above that on higher decks have at least the same or better TV's.
  15. Did anyone observe any luggage storage available in the Montreal cruise terminal? We would like to use this upon arrival back in Montreal on completion of our cruise.
  16. Following, we will be on the Volendam in September B2B for Canada/NE
  17. You can look from start to finish; Entrance to the Waterway, leading up to Rotterdam; And two live views of the actual docking location:
  18. The 3 latest Holland America Line vessels named Rotterdam, are in Rotterdam port today, May 4th 2024. Currently the MS Rotterdam VII and the Fred Olsen’s Borealis (former MS Rotterdam VI) are moored on the Rotterdam cruise terminal, only a stone throw away from the SS Rotterdam V, now a hotel in Rotterdam. Rotterdam VII and Borealis moored together, visible on the webcam. With some work, someone would probably be able to get all 3 of the ships in one photo shot!
  19. We also found the entire plan pretty expensive, however, since most days are long and start early in the land portion (tripple Denali, land first), not knowing exactly what to expect, we chose to do the breakfast plan only. Was it more expensive than searching on our own?, probably yes, but we wanted to make a good start of every day and not wanting to wander around searching for breakfast options and we were glad with our choice. On dinner choices, we had a couple of extra excursion that included a form of dinner and for other places, we searched internet for dinner options near our hotel(s), which made it easy not to go searching to much, but go directly for a dining option, sometimes with not too much time on your hands. We were successful in every stop we had, to find affordable dining options, including the Denali lodge, where there are a couple of acceptable options right outside the lodge, across the street. 20. Here is a correction, with an official reply of "Keukenhof"; The sale of flower bulbs on the Keukenhof premises is managed by the bulb companies Frylink and QFB. At these companies, you can place an order to have them shipped abroad. These bulbs will need to be inspected and sent to the destination with official documents. Links to the companies' websites: Frylink: http://www.frylink.com/ QFB: https://www.qfbgardening.nl/
  21. In the Keukenhof, just like other tourist spots where tulip bulbs are on display, there will undoubtedly be specially packaged tulip bulbs for sale that meet the agricultural access requirements of, among others, the United States. This is also the case at Schiphol Airport. You are not the first tourist, wanting to take bulbs to their homecountry and they will cater to those needs and requirements.
  22. Have asked the question regarding luggage storage on other media as well, there I was pointed to a website giving information that there is indeed luggage storage in the terminal. I do not know if this information can be shared here, but the website is named after what we all like to do and followed by the words port and advisor, followed by dot com. I also got this information confirmed by people at the terminal itself.
