Anyone done Carnival, how is it?

I'm Diamond on Royal and only Gold on Carnival but I have my next three cruises booked with Carnival. We've found the last couple cruises on Royal to have too many problems. We enjoy having all the comedy shows available on Carnival. We're also finding more food and beverage choices on Carnival. Overall there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two so for now we're going to pass on Royal. -
We're going to be on Voyager of the Seas from Nov. 6th - 13th and were wanting to know if they have a 70's or 80's party on this cruise. We don't want to take clothes for it if they don't have one.
