  1. Wow! If that’s the actual price, give or take a couple of bucks, that’s a very reasonable price!!
  2. Does anyone know if Regent (Splendor) stocks Clicquot ? I realize it would be an extra charge. If they do, would it be possible to purchase a bottle and just let it "hang out" in the Ob Bar, our usual watering hole, so I could have a special treat at cocktail time. We've got lots of OBC and it would be nice to enjoy some other than in just the dining room/specialty restaurant. Not even sure Regent stocks Clicquot......if so does anyone know how much?
  3. So If I'm understanding this correctly, we must use the credit piece meal over 6 cruises and cannot combine the credits for one or two cruises.
  4. We just received this via email. I cannot seem to get a firm answer on whether we can use the whole thing for one cruise....or a couple of them for one cruise....or must we use them piece meal for 6 different cruises? Does anyone know how this works? Appreciate any info anyone has....
  5. Going out on a limb, here.... Years ago, very "pre covid", we cruised "grill class" on the QM2. After following all of the rig a ma roll, online, I was somewhat horrified to have to actually print our own boarding passes, AND luggage tags. "Hey, we're grill class, here...." I was absolutely miffed, disgruntled, and not happy about any of that. Geez, we paid a fortune and I actually have to do all this? Well, I did....wasnt happy about it,, but ya know, it now seems like small potatoes. We had a wonderful time and the "ordeal" of printing almost all of our docs, boarding passes AND luggage tags, is now forgotten. Seems kinda first world now.... I honestly think it's the wave of the future....expect more "do it yourself" chores, like it or not....
  6. This is very true. Due to some sort of snafu with the online check in, we were not able to complete it and there was nothing in the printed packet that was particularly helpful. With great trepidation, we arrived at the terminal with passport and credit card and were whisked away with no problem at all. Actually the very easiest check in ever was with a small boutique line whose name I will not mention. We arrived with untagged luggage (they took care of that), check in was a card table with a flower arrangement on it. Presented our passports, names were checked off the list and we walked on the ship. Actually, if it's less paper, it's less to keep track of and is it really necessary? I'm all for getting rid of stuff I don't really need, particularly plastic I'll never use again.
  7. And we've actually used it shipboard and at home for ....ah, adult beverages.....! Works perfectly!
  8. We did the Amazon on the Navigator this past March/April....no plastic bottles which was fine with me! Early one am, I went to Coffee Connections for a brew to take back to the cabin....I said something like a paper cup would do.....Very kindly told "no paper, but you're welcome to take the mug back...." Ah duh, on my part. Glad to see a reduction in anything not recyclable.
  9. That's quite a list.........mmmmm!
  10. There is only one thing that was fortunate about this ordeal.....it wasn't on the pre cruise leg. Talk about needing new underwear....... I'm so sorry that the return was a debacle, but as I said, better it was at the end and not the beginning.
  11. Thank you for the wonderful posts....the only thing that could've made it better would've been sitting at the pool bar with you and TB, telling the tales of the days adventures.... Hope to run into you guys on another Regent voyage. Fair winds and following seas! L&J
  12. Feeling pretty guilty about all of this, but for a change, we didn't get the sticky end of the lollipop, but the yummy part. We're getting the extra day, you folks will be missing out on. To be very honest, I'd almost trade the extra day for a departure from Manhattan..... Does anyone know just who/what/why is messing up the Brooklyn terminal to force such a change?
  13. What a lovely picture of TB.....you're a laaa key....man!!!
  14. I had the best steak of my life in Prime 7 (if you like beef) but Pacific Rim has fabulous variety and the tempuras are hard to beat. Although Chartreuse wouldn't be my first pick (but still wonderful) they get the high mark for table settings. I always feel special when sitting down for dinner there. (haha!)
  15. Thank you for your report. I felt I couldn't click the little "heart" that says "like" for your post as I didn't "like" it, but totally appreciated it. I agree with all you commented on, and hope to see a day when we can be kinder to ALL.
  16. We've been enjoying all of your commentary, pix, etc. The only thing that would've made this better would've been an in person account.....shades of the "infamous" Explorer TA from a few years ago! Sounds like you've got beautiful weather and are enjoying all that the Splendor and Regent has to offer. Keep sipping, sampling and carry on! Best to you both on the big 40! John and Linda
  17. So very good to be hearing from you! John and I, like so many posting here have missed you on board AND on CC! We'll be doing a similar route in September, also on the Splendor and although not a full blown reunion, tnr will be sailing with us. We'll be following along with your adventures! Congrats on the big 40....very special, you're only 13 years behind us...haha! Fair winds and following seas........ J&L
  18. ooo....not too happy to hear that, and so sorry for your incovenience/loss on your March cruise. We're on for a Feb. Caribbean number on the Grandeur. I'd be horrified to hear that was cancelled as we'll be with friends who we are so looking forward to seeing. I would think Regent could do alot better than a mesily credit...not even a good one. Keep us posted on how you make out........
  19. I have a an iphone, but it's a love/hate affair for me. Yes, they're useful for somethings, but I hate needing to carry it all over with me. For the most part, I lock mine in the safe once I'm onboard. As Dave mentioned, there are computer terminals that are available to us and I use them, not my phone. Lots easier to type on for an old lady....hahaha! And yes, a program is delivered to your cabin each evening....you don't need your phone.
  20. As I said, we're in the bottom bottom...haha! G2...it's small but totally functional as we've been in one before. Even if we don't move, we'll make do as we're on the cruise with friends. However a little something would be welcome! We'll see what happens! Fingers crossed!!!
  21. And speaking of GTYs, has anyone actually gotten a better cabin, up from the guarantee? We're in a bottom bottom of a seriously waitlisted cruise. Any hope for something a little better? Certainly not expecting a suite, but maybe a little something?
  22. And we think it's actually pretty nice.....you can actually drink it!
  23. Although I've been following along, I haven't said THANK YOU! for the excellent account of your cruise. We enjoy all of the Regent ships, different reasons for all, but we find the little Navigator particularly charming. Hope you felt the same. Safe travels home....
  24. Thank you all for your input. Looks like it's going to be nippy no matter when we go! We've got plenty of cold weather/foul weather gear, so we can be prepared!
