  1. I booked B2B Independence of the Seas cruises for Feb 2024.  The first one I booked a while ago.  It departs Miami on Feb 17 for 5 days.  I recently cancelled a cruise from Cape Liberty and rescheduled it to Independence of the Seas departing Feb 12, 2024. The receipt I received is correct. (Indy, itinerary, 5 days, departing from Miami). My upcoming cruises on the Royal Caribbean website is correct as booked.  However, in my Royal Caribbean app it is showing a 4 day cruise on Liberty departing from Fort Lauderdale.  The date of departure is the same. I plan to call Royal Caribbean tomorrow.  I am curious if anyone else has experienced this.

  2. It is not working for me.  Someone in a group from "FB" said they snagged an Owners Suite for a crazy price of just $1500pp over New Year. He is currently on Allure rushed to Next Cruise.  He booked right away and the Royal Caribbean representative said it is likely a glitch.  Royal probably caught on and took their site down to fix it??????

  3. Also, we did not have a choice of where to watch the "Bills!!!!" It is not a sports bar where you can request to watch a specific game. We sailed during the World Cup and between the venues everyone seemed happy that they could watch "their" game.(NFL football/soccer)  I also remember seeing soccer on a screen in the Schooner bar.

  4. I just booked the refundable rate for a cruise. I looked at my receipt and can't tell that I did so.  Where on the receipt is the proof that it is refundable?  I compared this receipt with another that I booked that was non refundable and I can't see the difference.  Not that I don't trust Royal but I really want to see it reflected somewhere.

    Thanks for the help.

RCCL use to show the different rates on their website but for this August 2023 booking they didn't and I had to call it in -- had I not known about thie R and NR rates, I might have just booked online and got stuck with the NR rate.  The online booking does tell us that this is a NR but it's not very evident and you do have to read closely, which I don't.

You can see the refundable rate on their website. You have to pick the "non refundable" first and enter all of the passenger information. When you get to the payment stage you have the option to pick dining time, prepaid gratuities and refundable rate. I just booked a transatlantic this way and paid an additional $360CD.

They have changed how the FCC’s are reissued.  You no longer have to wait until the sailing is completed before the balance is reissued.  Once it’s reissued you can apply it to any cruise sailing before Sept 30, 3022.

Thanks for the speedy reply.  In my case I wish they didn't do that as all 3 of my booked cruises have FCC applied to them already so I would need to book another one which I do not want to do as I have some land based vacations as well.  Unless, they have also changed the ability to combine more than 1 FCC/cruse. (Wishful thinking) 😀

  7. I have a question about the cruise with confidence future cruise credit.  I received a credit for a cancelled Anthem of the Seas cruise from March 2020. I have applied the credit to another cruise on Anthem that will sail in June 2022.  Of course, the credits are for each individual and I was able to use the whole amount for my cruise fare.  However, my husband (as the second discounted guest) was only able to use a portion of it and has a residual $490 FCC to be used at a later date.  I was told that he will receive this $490 FCC as a new certificate after the June 2022 sailing.  However, he just received the email below.  I already have a few cruises between February 2022 and June 2022.  I was not really interested in another cruise before September.  I plan on calling Royal Caribbean to clarify and just wondered if anyone else has experience with cruise credits that have residual amounts.  Below I have bolded a statement on the Royal Caribbean communication that seems to reinforce the usual process is to issue the residual amount after the cruise is complete.  I hope this post actually makes sense to someone who can answer the question.

    Take care all,

    Dear Guest,

We've reviewed your new booking and noticed you have a remaining Future Cruise Credit balance for your Cruise with Confidence credit. Please find the remaining value, the terms, and how to apply your credit below for your reference.

Why does it need to be a male?

Antibodies develop when you are exposed to someone else's blood through transfusion, miscarriage, or childbirth.

It is likely Royal Caribbean requested males and will ask them their transfusion history. They will select one who has never been transfused themselves and are less likely to have antibodies that would react negatively with the patients blood cells. (cause a transfusion reaction) Women are more likely to have antibodies due to exposure to other blood groups during child birth.  I think they are going with the odds and hoping to have a successful crossmatch quickly.

    Shocked a RCL's customer service.

We live in Asia and received an email to say we couldn't board the cruise if we had been in contact with anyone who had been to China, Macau or Hong Kong in the last 15 days.

I had hung out with a friend at the weekend who had transited through HK earlier than week so I decided to do the honest thing (I didn't have to!!) and tell them. This wasn't me choosing not to cruise, it was subject to THEIR rules and I did the responsible thing by admitting I had.

Shocked to find out they'll only give me future cruise credit. This is no use to me at all. My mother is here visiting from overseas. I can't cruise with her again as we live on opposite sides of the world and she has no use for the cruise credit.

Surely RCL should be offering me a full refund onto my credit card? This wasn't my choice - this was them telling me that I couldn't cruise?

I am getting no where with their customer service team.

Update as of today, Feb 8.  Looks like a full refund is coming.  I guess they reconsidered their strategy.  I hope it works out for you.  Newest coronavirus message posted on Royal Caribbean website.
