Depending on the ship, the water is distilled and or reverse osmosis.
I work in the Water business. I have installed and maintained systems in Pepsi plants for Aquafina, Coke plants for Desani and countless Municipalities across the country from Florida to Washington state.
The water on the ship is of the same quality and safe as anything you will get in a bottle.
Last year I worked on a system in a Bottled water plant in Wisconsin. This single plant bottled water under 37 different private labels. All of the water comes from a municipal water source and in filtered through carbon filters for taste and odor, then minerals are added back to the water to a very specific recipe.
It is quite the business. I should have gotten into that line of work 25 years ago.
Bring a couple of water bottles and fill up at the bar.
In Beer there is barley, in wine there is wisdom, in water there is bacteria.

We did Moby Dicks back years ago on Disney. Our last trip to Grand Cayman we went on a Jet Ski tour to Star Fish Beach and Sting Ray City with Ebanks water sports. OMG it was the best excursion we have ever done. A long fun trip on the Jet Skis. When we return to Grand Cayman we will use Ebanks again!
Have a great trip!

Thanks for the Review! We will be sailing on Navigator in a couple weeks and again in 2016. One question for you.
What stores are there on board? Thanks!

Kind of makes me want to make a habit of getting up early to watch the chair hogs place their stuff to save chairs before breakfast and move it to a less desirable place. I might just have to hog a spot at the bar to watch them return. LOL! :D

This topic often raises when people ask for bringing water onboard.
And I always point to a very interesting posting regarding the ship's water:
Great information and all of it is correct. Right now the Company I work for is building a new Reverse Osmosis plant that will be installed at Guantanamo Bay Cuba next year.

That may be true....but I would have a problem drinking water that comes out of a bathroom sink. Call me a germphobe if you will, but that just seems gross.
In Beer there is barley, in wine there is wisdom, in water there is bacteria.
I work in the water business. The owner of the company is a germaphobe. I totally understand. Having worked in the business for 20 plus years I can tell you I wont drink water out of the lake as I did as a kid. My Dad never drank water because "fish pee in it". LOL
There is only so much water on this planet, we use it, expel it, it goes back into the earth, we pump it out, filter it and reuse it again and again. It is a very reused resource.

The first benefit is knowing you will be back at sea before you leave the ship!

Thanks to the wonderful people at CC, we found Mr Sanchos beachfront wedding garden. We also used the wedding planner that is linked to the website for the area. You can also look at CC for vow renewal or wedding and see lots of people who have done it already. Best of luck and congrats on the 25 years.
Thank you!! We are so torn on what we want to do. RCCL has packages that are so expensive. We have a great group of cruise friends that will join us and make it a grand time no matter what we do.

What itinerary and what port did you leave out of? Leaving on The Navigator at the end of August.

Price Royal Caribbean against a Disney Cruise and the price will be higher for Disney. Its quality and supply and demand.
No other reasons.

Yep you can do that. But there is really no need to. All of the water is either Reverse Osmosis or Distilled depending on the ship and what systems they are running.

I too have a Panama cruise on my bucket list. The last time I was in Panama I was dodging bullets in the Army. I want to see how things have changed there since service there so long ago.
I would love to do it on a RCCL ship. But if the time comes and they don't offer it I will jump to another cruise line. We had some friends a few years ago that got a great deal on Disney. I'd be very tempted to spend a little more to spend 14 days on one of their ships again.

Our very first cruise they booked us to fly out of Minneapolis through Chicago then to Orlando to board the Disney Magic in February. I felt really uneasy about it. SO we switched the flight to Friday afternoon leaving and getting in really late.
As we are waiting to board on Friday Afternoon they announced that Chicago was close because of snow. If we had not switched our flight we would have missed our first cruise with our daughters.
I always fly in a day or two early. Even if your flights arrive on time you could still lose a bag or have it delayed. Better safe and have a great cruise vacation than sorry.

I will be on Harmony in 2017. Not because of any of the features. But because I love to cruise and 4 of our friends will be on the ship with us. We all cruise for our own reasons. Enjoy!

We were on in March and loved it. The food was great, the atmosphere was great the service was good. I would do it again.
Enjoy your cruise!

Great job by RCCL and the Captain to inform the passengers on the ship of exactly what happened. It helps remove all doubt to exactly what transpired.

Here is the start of the problem. 3 or 4 night Bahamas cruise. I'll stick to the 7 to 9 day cruise's. It may be loaded with older folk but its much better.
Keep an eye on your onboard spending account
