  1. Depending on the ship, the water is distilled and or reverse osmosis.

I work in the Water business. I have installed and maintained systems in Pepsi plants for Aquafina, Coke plants for Desani and countless Municipalities across the country from Florida to Washington state.

The water on the ship is of the same quality and safe as anything you will get in a bottle.

Last year I worked on a system in a Bottled water plant in Wisconsin. This single plant bottled water under 37 different private labels. All of the water comes from a municipal water source and in filtered through carbon filters for taste and odor, then minerals are added back to the water to a very specific recipe.

It is quite the business. I should have gotten into that line of work 25 years ago.

Bring a couple of water bottles and fill up at the bar.

In Beer there is barley, in wine there is wisdom, in water there is bacteria.

  3. We did Moby Dicks back years ago on Disney. Our last trip to Grand Cayman we went on a Jet Ski tour to Star Fish Beach and Sting Ray City with Ebanks water sports. OMG it was the best excursion we have ever done. A long fun trip on the Jet Skis. When we return to Grand Cayman we will use Ebanks again!

    Have a great trip!

  4. This topic often raises when people ask for bringing water onboard.

And I always point to a very interesting posting regarding the ship's water:

Great information and all of it is correct. Right now the Company I work for is building a new Reverse Osmosis plant that will be installed at Guantanamo Bay Cuba next year.

  5. That may be true....but I would have a problem drinking water that comes out of a bathroom sink. Call me a germphobe if you will, but that just seems gross.

I work in the water business. The owner of the company is a germaphobe. I totally understand. Having worked in the business for 20 plus years I can tell you I wont drink water out of the lake as I did as a kid. My Dad never drank water because "fish pee in it". LOL

There is only so much water on this planet, we use it, expel it, it goes back into the earth, we pump it out, filter it and reuse it again and again. It is a very reused resource.

  6. Thanks to the wonderful people at CC, we found Mr Sanchos beachfront wedding garden. We also used the wedding planner that is linked to the website for the area. You can also look at CC for vow renewal or wedding and see lots of people who have done it already. Best of luck and congrats on the 25 years.

Thank you!! We are so torn on what we want to do. RCCL has packages that are so expensive. We have a great group of cruise friends that will join us and make it a grand time no matter what we do.

  7. I too have a Panama cruise on my bucket list. The last time I was in Panama I was dodging bullets in the Army. I want to see how things have changed there since service there so long ago.

I would love to do it on a RCCL ship. But if the time comes and they don't offer it I will jump to another cruise line. We had some friends a few years ago that got a great deal on Disney. I'd be very tempted to spend a little more to spend 14 days on one of their ships again.

  8. Our very first cruise they booked us to fly out of Minneapolis through Chicago then to Orlando to board the Disney Magic in February. I felt really uneasy about it. SO we switched the flight to Friday afternoon leaving and getting in really late.

As we are waiting to board on Friday Afternoon they announced that Chicago was close because of snow. If we had not switched our flight we would have missed our first cruise with our daughters.

I always fly in a day or two early. Even if your flights arrive on time you could still lose a bag or have it delayed. Better safe and have a great cruise vacation than sorry.
