  1. Does Jade sleep on the bed with you? Bobby sleeps on the bed all day and most of the evening, but he won't sleep with us. Probably because he only likes my side of the bed. He will sleep with DH, because my side is still available, then. ☺️
  2. It was Captain humor. 😄I guess you had to be there. ☺️
  3. When we were on Viking Serenade, many years ago, itinerary was San Diego, Catalina, Ensenada. The captain announced that for those wondering why it took 17 hours to go from SD to Catalina, "We were lost, 20 miles off the California Coast, and we were going in circles all night" 😄 But now we have arrived, and the tenders will be arriving shortly. I think they put on the GPS at some point and just mostly stay in one place overnight. People want to feel like they are on a cruise!
  4. I don't even know how anyone on the East Coast even goes to work the next day, following the Super Bowl? The games all start so late there, even Monday Night football. It starts at 3:30 PM here. We always watch the Super Bowl, because we love the commercials. We don't really have a favorite, but Mahomes seems like a nice young man. I'm not familiar with the other QB. It was more fun when one of our citrus growers had a fun pool, that started before the playoffs. But sadly, they moved. So, we are back to watching for commercials. 😃
  5. Joebob is adorable! But he looks kind of blank. ☺️ We have had smart cats and not so smart cats. Bobby is kind of in the middle, he looks smart, but he's dumb. 😄
  6. Yes. We were supposed to take a helicopter excursion from Antigua over to Monseratt, but there was a hurricane. Royal Carribean had no idea why it had been cancelled. But then we found this online....
  7. It was posted on here, a long time ago, that MDR staff spend one week a month working in the WJ for dinner? service without tips. Right or wrong, that is just how their schedule is. I don't know anything more than that. But you are free to tip whomever in the WJ if you choose.
  8. That would be helpful. But still scary. I have never been in an area with missiles or bombs. There are earthquake alerts for cell phones. 10-60 seconds warning. https://www.makeuseof.com/best-iphone-apps-for-earthquake-alerts-and-tracking/ My Shake won't help, because it is only for the West coast, but you might be able to google ones that are available for your location. Again, not much warning, but still a little bit. Many structures here, have been reinforced for shaking.
  9. That sounds like a great itinerary! No. I'm not booking anything else. 🤔
  10. I think missiles sound much scarier than earthquakes. That said, repeated small earthquakes are a little nerve-wracking, because you never know if they are the beginning of a larger one. I hope they subside quickly where you are Dani. ☺️
  11. We are booked at the Embassy Suites next to the convention center in Tampa in March, so I can let you know. $400 +/night! We've stayed there before. There is a Publix not too far away, and the Trolley to Ybor City has a stop right in front of the hotel. ☺️
  12. Platinum level and above. JS and above. But tip generously, and you will most likely receive one.
  13. We're taking a break. Have B2B in March, and not planning any future bookings. We are moving anyway and have to buckle down and get going on that.
  14. We like bacon wrapped pork loins. 😄 Instructions Preheat oven to 325°F. On plate, rub pork loin with olive oil and coat both sides of loin with brown sugar. Line your baking sheet with plastic wrap and place bacon strips in rows on top of the plastic wrap. Place pork loin on top of bacon and roll the bacon on the loin using the plastic wrap. Discard plastic wrap. Bake in oven for 35 minutes or until the internal temp gets to 145°F. Baste the pork loin with drippings every 10 minutes. Let loin rest under foil 5 minutes before slicing.
  15. We were advised to pick the latest time, since you won't be using it anyway. ☺️ That leaves earlier slots for the people that are boarding that day.
  16. We wore our D+ pins, once. 😄 To the C&A party. We were very proud of them, but I don't like poking holes in my clothes. ☺️
  17. The cake is beautiful.! You did such a nice job. And congratulations to your son! Thank you, Helen, I hope it improves soon. I remember how miserable a back injury is. I was out gassing ground squirrels for work and tripped in a burrow and went ass over teakettle, holding a shovel, twelve feet down into a cement lined flood control channel. I herniated a disc in my lower back. And it went on for months, with the awful pain and sciatica and the muscle wasting in my leg. I don't know if they had shots back then, but I am sure that the surgery has improved in the 30 years since I had mine. And I haven't had any other back problems, since. I just have to be very careful lifting things.
  18. Refundable Onboard Credit, so it goes back to your credit card. (If you don't spend it).
  19. Thank goodness! because it still looked awful when we were onboard in September. Thanks for letting us know.
  20. We have been feasting on Dungeness Crab here! Since they finally opened crab season. Our neighbors gave us a couple, fresh off the boat. We bought a couple at the grocery store. And then on Thursday, crab was on sale for $3.99/lb.! So, we purchased 4 more and gave two to our neighbors, returning the favor. It has been a very good crab year so far. And dinner tonight. ☺️
  21. It does look a very pretty room and the cake topper is lovely. It needed a topper. If I may ask, what city did they have it in? It looks like the central valley. ☺️
