  1. Looking at the cost to fly, round trip to Tampa in March.....I wish we had booked the Mexican Riviera again. 😛
  2. If it shows up on your Cruise Planner, you can. ☺️There will be a banner at the top of the page.
  3. African Isles/Morrocco, South America, North America, South Africa, Northern/Western Europe, The Caribbean, all kinds of places, some I have never heard of. I don't know where "The Gambia" is? it was just rating your interest in various locations, and your safety perceptions of some of them. It is definitely legit. Just googled it. The Gambia is a country in West Africa. ☺️
  4. Cruise Planner is weirded out. I started last night trying to purchase. We have a B2B in March. Unlike some folks, the price actually went down when I went to purchase the DBP for week 2. I couldn't get it to do the same for week 1, so I thought I would wait until today. The site has been up and down all day, and then I couldn't get it to accept my credit card to place order. And now I have 4 pending charges on my cc, that will hopefully drop off. I will check over the weekend but might wait until Monday to try again.
  5. Check your online cc statement. It kept doing that to me, and now it appears I have 4 pending charges and still don't have a completed purchase.
  6. It does! The Windward snorkeling expedition is awesome. It is drift snorkeling, so they drop you at one end of Klein Bonaire and the current sort of floats you down to where they pick you up. It is like watching Disney or a Nature film in the clear water as you float over all the beautiful fish and turtles and coral. Probably our best snorkeling experience ever! ☺️ The Manta Ray was before we even left the dock to board the catamaran. On our sailing, we had a professional underwater photographer that took photos of the whole experience that we were able to purchase on a CD. She took these.
  7. Irregardless of how it happened, remember that family in Seattle, that were unable to board their cruise because they hadn't been tested? They made the news, and said they weren't informed. This is kind of worse because it was an international sailing. It would have behooved the OP to do her own research. But that is after the fact. "If" she had a TA, that is who I would hold accountable. It is sad, that the RC phone people, also make stuff up. (Can you say uniformed or lazy?) But they do it onboard, too. A long time ago we actually had an accredited TA, that gave us the wrong information and had to use their Errors & Omissions insurance to rectify the situation. And that was what was essentially an administrative hearing at the agency.
  8. Thanks! I received the first one, but our friends' daughter graduated from the police academy on Nov. 5th. So, we weren't exactly shopping. It wasn't like we could just plan to use our card that day. And then Allure...in the month of November, seems rather specific and not random. They (BOA) is going to have to try harder than that, if they want to keep our loyalty. We received the first email, but not the second. Thanks for posting and sharing.
  9. There was a blurb in AARP (I think), that this pose is called the "Venus Cat Trap". She appears to want a belly rub, but then the paws and claws will grab the unsuspecting hand. 😄Jade is very cute!
  10. I'm sorry about Graycie. It is so sad to lose a beloved pet. Bobbie is funny. He talks all the time now. He never talked at all when Gray Kitty was alive. I guess he doesn't have anyone else to talk to. And he has tantrums when he doesn't get to do what he wants, like go in the back bedroom. He has a noise that sounds like no, and he throws himself down on the carpet and sulks. ☺️
  11. I am going to say something that sounds awful and say, "That you don't really ever get to truly be an adult, until your parents are gone". Which is awful, but the ongoing care and concern they need is so stressful. My dad passed away a long time ago, but the last few years with my mom were just a constant worry. And so many decisions revolved around her and her care. She left us with financial issues and a house full of stuff. But it was a little bit of a relief, and some of the pressure was off. ☺️
  12. That is absolutely beautiful! It would be so wonderful and to see the awesome borealis lights. Although, I guess you would probably get inured to them after a while. If they were where you lived. What a neat thing! 😀 Thanks for explaining your migration. I loved visiting Vancouver and the Stanley Park Zoo and watching the polar bears every Easter, when we lived in Seattle when I was younger. I guess the zoo became sort of sort of derelict, as you mention about the area around Davie. The area around the area around the Ballantyne Pier was kind of like that, too. That's too bad. We enjoyed the aquarium on our last visit. You have mentioned your profession previously. So, I kind of understand. I am glad that you are in California, and that you are here on Cruise Critic. I hope we have the opportunity to meet you onboard, or maybe next time you are in the East Bay? ☺️
  13. The book "Burning Cold" about the Prinsendam is truly fascinating. Fire and rescue from a HAL cruise ship in 1980: https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/976153.Burning_Cold
  14. Huh! That's interesting. But not as exciting as my imagination. I'm sure it is very pretty, but awfully cold. Thanks! ☺️
  15. I am waiting for "Spirited" on Nov. 18 with Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer. It is on Apple+, which is surprisingly, the only streaming channel we have besides a borrowed Netflix account and Amazon Prime. There was a year free subscription with my Ipad purchase. But then I kept it to watch "Finch", with Tom Hanks, which was really good, but incredibly sad. It is a pet story, but I don't think I have cried as much as since I watched "The Incredible Journey" ☺️
  16. What does "Land of Living Skies" mean? Is that because it snows a lot? 😀Or maybe because of the Aurora Borealis? Which would be really cool. @Tree_skier Just out of curiosity, is your wife Canadian, too? It is interesting that you ended up in the Central Valley, if you are both from BC. We stayed down on Davie Street last time we were in Vancouver, before an Alaska cruise. At our close friends' recommendation. 😀 My mom asked why all those young men were waiting outside a club? I said, rainbow flags on the street poles, it's a nightclub, mom. We had a great time.
  17. How? They have to scan each person's SetSail pass barcode to show that you have completed muster. Did you just take them all with you?
  18. Lucas. Did your mom pass away or was it just a difficult evening? Because really, we are here for you. So, don't worry about it. Thread moves fast. 😚
  19. We were on Liberty, maybe 4 years ago. And they had the worst beds ever. It was like sleeping on the box spring, and not a mattress. We didn't complain then, but I thought they would have been broken in by now.
  20. Oh Lucas, sorry. I was reading Nextdoor. And was caught up in the neighborhood drama. 🤨 I was wracking my brain, and only coming up with things like Wooly Polar Bear, West Point Brat, your initials....I wasn't thinking of Florida areas. And as nice as that sounds, Lucas. I don't think you follow my cruises. My name is Patti, and our last Princess cruise was 28 years ago. ☺️ And that's a little rude. We live in the SF Bay Area and our very best, closest friends are gay. I think there is a lot more diversity and acceptance here, than there might be in Florida.
