I kind of assumed that's what ours was, until we had to look into having it replaced. Who thinks of having CLAY sewer pipes leading away from a house? It reminds me of flowerpots (But they are thicker). But I guess that is what was laid down here regionally in the 60's. 🤔 And we have earthquakes and ground shifting. I think the house connection under the toilets is still cast iron.

I think we saw a couple of episodes on a free AT&T preview weekend. It was kind of gory. I like George R.R. Martin as an author. I have the series GOT books downloaded but I was kind of bored with the old English dialogue. I may try and pick it up again. He is the author of many great books, "Fevre Dream" is one of my all-time favorite books, and one of the best vampire books I have ever read. ☺️

Tempura shrimp and vegetables (If you like vegetables) and Wonton soup! I just get 4 tempura shrimp and soup.

WOW Mema. ☺️ I researched sewer lines and didn't even come across cast iron sewer pipes! I thought our CA clay lines sounded chintzy. (As in no wonder they break, crack and have root intrusion) But most of the new ones here are PVC. The sewer utility (that I used to inspect) insisted the clay ones are "the best" Massachusetts has such old and interesting things. I can see why it would not be such an easy fix where you are. How old is your house? And it would probably be horribly expensive to replace them. Bill and I are kind of fascinated by that. It will be something to ask about that if we move to the southeast. My apologies.

We had to have our sewer line replaced here, because it was an old clay pipe sewer line that had tree roots and breaks in two places. After several cleanings and camera scoping's we just had it done. The backups used to happen a few times at the most inconvenient times. They do trenchless now. (Your line may be more) But was it about $5000, and they run a new plastic line through the old clay line and burst it. No real property digging involved, except for a more accessible cleanout.

It was a long time ago, but we were on a Carnival cruise that was supposed to go to Mexico, sailing out of LA. But there was a hurricane, so we instead went to Ensenada (where many passengers disembarked) and then to San Francisco for two and a half days, before sailing back to LA. Even though we live very near SF, it was clearly stated that you couldn't disembark or there would be a $200 p/p fine. We watched a couple trying to leave with their luggage in SF, and they (and their bags) were rather forcefully restrained by security and escorted back to somewhere on the ship.

Haven't the Panama Canal and TA, TP cruises always required a passport book? They are not closed loop cruises. Edit: Never mind, maybe it is a Panama port stop, that I was unfamiliar with.

We still have to find the septic tank lid. There is no grass, just pine needles. Bill and the Roto Rooter guy looked for it, unsuccessfully. Now you have me a little worried, they were using small tractors during the last property clean up. I sincerely hope something wasn't crushed in the process. 🤔

I am taking a bottle of earplugs on our next cruise. We booked late, and cabin selection was limited. I think it is under the Windjammer, and it would not surprise me if there is some early/late noise.

Port taxes not refunded for missed port

Why was Puerto Vallarta skipped? Sometimes they refund port fees and apparently, sometimes they don't. -
The next door child just came by with his dad. So that is one. 🙁 And no, there doesn't seem to be anyone out on the block either. Maybe it not a thing anymore. "Parade" magazine from the newspaper just announced that they will be going online only as of November 13. I'm kind of sad all these things are going away in our lifetime. 🙁

Where is your refrigerator/cooler? -
We went with full size bars this year too, Hershey's with Almonds and Nestle's Crunch. (From Costco) I hope we have more kids this year. I think we had about half a dozen last year and 0 the year before. Otherwise, we will have candy left over until Christmas. ☺️I thought almonds might be okay, except for kids with tree nut allergies like Marietta. Can kids with peanut allergies eat peanut butter cups? Bill wanted those, but I said no, because I wasn't sure. (Remember, it's California 🤪 )
