  1. We are booking our own air but according to our TA we still get one of the O Life options. When the definite excursion list comes out later this month I will check prices.
  2. We are booked on a Baltic cruise on Marina next summer and I need definition about the O Life options. What exactly do you get for “free excursions”? I don’t think we would drink enough beer or wine for the basic beverage package and the $600 shipboard credit is just equal to the $600 extra you pay 90 days out for the cruise so that’s a wash. Is it certain excursions or a certain dollar value? Thanks.
  3. I want to book a cruise which ends in Bridgetown but the air connections are few and not ideal back to Jacksonville. Itinerary says we dock at 7 am and the only decent flight leaves at 8:45. My experience on prior cruises with other cruise lines is that you can usually get off the ship early if you have early flights but is this true with Seabourn? If not, I fear we couldn’t get through customs and make the flight.
  4. We have been on Insignia and then Marina in 2015. Our veranda stateroom definitely needed maintenance then, like peeling varnish on the railing and stains on the carpet. We’ve booked a PH2 next time and I’m hoping the ship has been given some tlc. Oceania has many plusses so we are coming back.
  5. The agent gave me some other inaccurate info to make the sale.
  6. Anybody have info about when all of Marina will be reimagined? I heard from an Oceania agent it was scheduled for spring 2020 and I’m hoping that’s is correct as well have a summer 2020 cruise booked.
  7. does anyone know when the schedule will available?
  8. That’s good to know. We are used to paying much more than that. I’ve rarely seen a ship excursion for under $100 and most are lots more.
  9. we are considering booking the Viking Homelands cruise for next year and comparing prices. Can’t find out about the included excursions on the Viking website. Are they basically just walking tours of the ports? If so, are the excursions for sale good and comparably priced with other cruise lines? I need to compare apples to apples before making a decision. Also, has anyone booked business class air through Viking? Good experience? Thanks.
  10. Just got back. You can dress up as much as you want. We saw plenty of people wearing cocktail type attire and plenty (including us) who did not choose to bring those clothes. Husband wore slacks with collared shirt and a sweater and I wore slacks with a nice top. I saw one couple in formal attire.
  11. We flew back from anchorage last week, arriving at the airport at 11:30 am for a 8pm departure. We had been told we’d have to store our luggage but Delta checked it for us when we arrived and we had no problems. Then we went into Anchorage and killed several hours walking around. We were in no hurry so took the People Mover bus for $2 each round trip. Drops you right downtown. Very enjoyable.

We just spent four days in Victoria prior to a cruise from Vancouver to Seward. It is a scenic, pretty town but dont expect big must sees other than the gardens. We most enjoyed walking around the inner harbor listening to the street musicians. Lots of flowers everywhere. People are extremely friendly and nice. Good restaurants and unique shops. We went to Fisherman’s wharf late morning and there was nothing going on. A few food stands with picnic tables. One shop and it was closed. The houseboats are cool to look at. We saw no wildlife at all. No fishing boats were coming or going. But it’s a lovely waterfront walk from the inner harbor. We had gone whale watching and seen the Museum on a previous visit and they were very nice. We took the bus that transfers us to Canada Place via ferry and it was an easy and reasonable way to travel to Vancouver.
  13. we will need a taxi from the Pacific Central Station downtown to the cruise terminal. Any insight into how easy to find and cost? Want to make sure I have enough Canadian dollars. Thanks.
  14. Thanks! Do you know if the bags are then transferred to the airline or do you retrieve them and check them with the airline yourself?
