Sounds like an IT fiasco messing with the database.

It will bring more Covid to the crew, then they have to isolate, as a result, service would suffer due to lower staff level.

Wonder if that also means no weekly testing for the crew...

By not extending the date beyond 9/30/22 that might be a consideration for those with final payment soon when deciding whether to make final payment or to cancel a cruise.
The webpage was updated on 7/1/22 & would think if the Book with Confidence date would be extended it would have been done with that update. As posted the PVP cancel for any reason coverage has the same option to get FCC for cancelation fees & by not extending the date it might be an attempt to sell more PVP plans.
I am in such category that you described. Mulling over whether to buy PVP slightly out of pocket on an Oct cruise that is paid for by FCC...

I am only aware that Hal extends their policy to end of 2022. Any other lines?
I was hoping Princess would extend it but looks like they are going to let it expire on Oct 1.

We had issues with my Medallion on our recent Grand Princess cruise. Kimberley Shannon, Guest Services Manager, offered us a complimentary upgrade from our balcony to a mini suite. We declined since there is no coverage in that deck. We also turned down complimentary spa treatments; not our thing. She said she would give us a 20% discount on our next cruise which we accepted. She said it would be automatically attached to our loyalty number. Today, when I booked a cruise they have no record of this discount. 😢
Well at least you have a name. Maybe you could find her email address some way somehow!

I want to add an additional comment on my perspective from the last days of the cruise
I personally believe the number of people getting covid is vastly under represented.
I say this because I started paying attention to people sitting in the buffet and persistent coughing is prevalent. Then on the bus ride back to the airport, there were 6 people on the bus I counted that were coughing persistently as well. And that is just coughing, I don't pay attention to runny nose or sneezing or whatever.
I don't think people are reporting it because the symptoms of it are nothing more than a bad head or perhaps flu and they aren't willing to risk quarantine to give up the freedom of the cruise.
That also leads me to wonder just how well they are cleaning non quarantine level rooms. Can you imagine going into a stateroom just 4 hours after a couple left and one or both of them having covid?
Are they really steralizing these rooms in the turnaround time it takes to setup the room, get the paperwork and all the other requirements
I would suggest that future cruises bring along some clorox wipes and wipe down the room from top to bottom the moment they arrive., tv remote, door handles, coat hangers, all of it.
Just as important, air out the cabin for a few hours...

First, people argued why they needed to report to medical if they are asymptomatic, now it evolved to even if they are with symptoms, they saw no need to report and are perfectly fine to expose the crew...just an observation.

I'm finally able to see everything again - completely cleared cookies, browsing history, etc (this has had no effect for the past 5 days or so but worked today - coincidence?)
I can see them, just can't book them.

Are you also trying to look at the Diamond Princess? This is really bad.
Yes Diamond and Discovery and any random bookings, really..

This is just what I saw on 3 of my 4 post covid cruisers::
They have a new 'game.' Spend $100+ in a single transaction and get a ticket for a drawing on the 2nd to last night (which turned out to be more merch). I was stunned when I saw the vast number of ppl in the drawing, huge number of tickets in each of their hands, and the knowledge that a friend of mine (her 2nd cruise) got a Tanzaniate & diamond ring / pendant/ earrings / bracelet set received 1 ticket for that effy purchase. Wow just wow. No wonder onboard sales are up^^^
Me .... I was at that 'every shirt for $5 table' buying 1.
Let's see:
Elite = $5
2nd cruiser = over 5k
Who does CCL want to return to any ship anywhere in fleet more?
True to a certain degree. There are only a finite number of new cruisers who would play that kind of game more than once. It gets old pretty quickly. Any successful business needs repeated customers, I would think...

My CVP booked a coastal cruise out of LA for me but was not with the advertised fare that I saw on the website. Via email, she said she sent it to CR for protection. I don't know what that means.

Medallion = EFFORTLESS personalized vacation = lol

Well, if cruisers are complaining about the current service staff level, I can't imagine how much more riskier is for the crew to catch Covid and then go into quarantine which would bring the service staff level even lower if no test for PAX is required...It is absolutely "bring it on" in the truest sense!

Does the FCC from cancel with insurance have an expiration date? FCC from Book with Confidence is a year from issuance.
-
I am only going to let it slide until I use up all my FCC which is probably a cruise away.

Same problem. Medallion support said sent ticket to technical? So who knows when it might be corrected. Medallions themselves on earlier cruise were correct level. I am not looking forward to having to go to guest services to get the 50% as OBC which hopefully will be refundable. Maybe crew chat will do it?
Same problem. Showed correct level on my last cruise and then incorrect (blue) for my future cruises on the app, hence no 50% off on internet prepurchase or making dinner reservations. No response from the Medallion team for over 1.5 months now.

3 for us bet Oct 2021 to April 2022, no covid, N95 mask indoor only and avoid crowds both outdoor and indoor.

Captain just announced the swells are 4 meters or about 13 feet. I googled it! Ha!
Crown grill and Sabatini's are both fully booked on the nights we want so we asked to be on the wait list. They alternate nights so they are not both open each night.
The MDR was not crowded during our dining time of 5:20. Lots of empty tables. We were told we would have the same table each night but we still needed to check in with our medallion with the hostess instead of just walking to our table. Our waiter was happy to hear that and so were we.
In general, may I asked whom we should talk to in order to have the same table for the entire voyage? Headwaiter or restaurant manager? Thx!

When you are logged in, your profile photo - if have one - is in upper left corner of the screen. There is a yellow circle in the top RH corner of that photo square. That means you are "off ship". Tap on the photo to bring up the pop-out menu - titled OceanReady Profile. Your photo and name is below that. On the RH side of your photo is a tiny Princess logo and the color indicates the Captain's Circle level. Or rather, it is what the MC App THINKS your status level is. If wrong, contact MC App support and hopefully they can fix it.
I have the same problem that the app does not recognize my captain circle level so DMY says unavailable and no internet discount either. It was working "perfectly" until the completion of my most recent cruise in April. Ticket has been opened for a week now. I will see if this new release fixes it but I am not that hopeful!

Just chill. When it is only a recommendation, no one (except a small percentage might do it.) Just like the mask thing. What it means is that there is high transmission so fly at your own risk.

From what I remembered reading the forum, in the early days when they needed people to get on the ship and sail so most cruiselines' air travel dept assisted with the flight change in the testing (+) disembarkation situations. Lately the trend has been that cruise lines are narrowing their assistance in every each way, so no telling by August what would be their practice in reality!

Interesting. I read the statement differently based on the sentence, highlighted in purple, following the statement you highlighted in red. From the way I read it, Princess will also arrange for any required antigen test besides paying for it, possibly in the terminal after disembarking the ship if you’re flying out the same day. I guess we’ll just have to monitor what actually happens on the Regal as it’s in the Med now.
If a negative COVID-19 test is required for re-entry into your home country,Princess will cover the costs of tests, provided guests can show proof that their flight arrangements are the same day as they disembark the ship. Guests will need to make their own test arrangements if onward travel is not the day they disembark.
It is implied that Princess would provide the test if same day travel. Not an explicit statement - do you have confidence to take this to the bank? How hard is it for Princess to write an unambiguous statement?
Cancel or just no show?

Does the insurance allow cancel as late as on the day of sailing? If so, maybe cancel after your cabinmate checks in and on board?
