  1. I've had some fairly good food recently (we're foodies) on both Carnival & Royal Caribbean...not like a few years ago (2012)...for us, the largest Royal Caribbean ship though has been the Explorer of the Seas...the same few years ago...the MDR Menus did change, after, though. I did not take any photos of the food in the MDR on the Explorer...which seems to make a difference... but it may just be my imagination. :):):):)

  2. Okay so I'm fresh off of my first cruise and I gotta say with all due respect and in every loving way that any human deserves - the cruise director on the independence of the seas is a bit wacky. Okay not a bit. He is nuts. Bordering on inappropriate at times, with a dirty questionably kid-not-so-friendly humor and juvenile personality.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some people love him. But he certainly wasn't in good taste for me.

Are all cruise directors trained to be this nutty or is Leigh just a special case?

The things I enjoyed was on the tv when he would go around and show you how the food was cooked or how the ship recycles, etc. the informative stuff was good although he did make many inappropriate jokes along the way.

What has been your experience with cruise directors? My wife really got to dislike him and every time I would see him on the tv or around he ship, I would say IT'S YOUR FAVORITE GUY!!!! ITS LEEEEEEEEIGHHHHHHH

It's hard to determine what is meant by your generalizations...such as in good taste ...or inappropriate jokes

    :)

  3. When someone sells a product that is advertised to have some feature or function and someone purchases that product and discovers (to late to back out) that it was a lie (forget all the why the lie occurred) ...I believe the purchaser has grounds to accuse the seller of fraud. Of course this happens constantly with most businesses nowadays and most people accept it (and therefore deserve it...since unwilling to do anything about it...that would include me)

  4. The Bar Prices have seemed to go up over the years...We generally only do the Drink Deals...At First I thought the 18% had something to do with the Brilliance of the Seas Going out of Harwich in GB, but I remembered that a friend left me the Cruise Compass from the Grandeur of the Seas from Baltimore, 7/17/2015, 7 Day, but Day 2 is missing. Anyway, it also mentions 18% in the Cruise Compass.

The Bar Prices are one thing,,,and the 18% Gratuity is another...the gratuity hasn't changed since we've been cruising beginning in 1984. :(
