There are rude, inconsiderate people the world over, but I think it's the minority. We've done two cruises from the U.S (we're from Australia) and have never had any issues and were actually amazed at how polite and well mannered all the children were (as well as the adults lol)
I had an overnight in Venice on the Royal in October and the muster drill was on the 2nd afternoon at 4:00 shortly before sailing at 4:30 so no muster drill on embarkation day to interfere with your tour.
Thanks for that quick response -
Hello, Booked on the Regal, embarking in Venice with an overnighter. My question is when would we have the safety muster. I'm wanting to book a tour on the evening before we leave (we'll already be checked in) but I'm sure I read somewhere that on the Royal they had a muster at 9:30.

Flights go direct from Brisbane to LA. I've found Virgin Aust to be the best.
Depending how much time you have in Brisbane look at; ferry up the river, great art gallery, Southbank parklands and further afield Australia Zoo, the Sunshine Coast (Noosa or Our favourite Mooloolaba), Montville (arts and crafts in the hills). Depending on the time of year you could go whale watching.
