  1. texanaust, do you know if Kristoff is maitre d' in the Colonnade?
  2. If your cruise was in the Med, what you report is the same as our last Med cruise which was in 2017. Restaurant was only open for dinner.
  3. I just checked in the Heralds from cruise in December 2019-January 2020.The Colonnade opened at 7,30am except on turnaround days when it opened at 6.30am . I can't remember for sure room service breakfast times but I do know in the past we have ordered it for 6.30am if we had an early departure excursion. The Restaurant opened at 8am and was open every day but that depends on cruise length and itinerary. It would be helpful to hear from those who have cruised recently.
  4. I agree, although it's now coming up to two and a half years since we were last onboard.
  5. You can order an omelette from your server in The Colonnade. The galley will make it to order for you, your choice of fillings.
  6. Oh no, the dreaded suitcase bedsheet is such a depressing sight! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and lovely photos. Have a good trip home.
  7. My comment probably should be on a different thread but I have just seen Seabourn's latesy video of Venture on their social media. The ship is stunning! Of course I've seen the mock ups etc but they don't compare to seeing the ship itself. I am very much looking forward to reading onboard reports.
  8. Who knows Nancy? We have an outstanding award that we can't take for the foreseeable future as we're dealing with a serious health issue. I don't expect we will ever get to use it, as I said I think it's a benefit that will disappear quite soon. I'm sure they wouldn't just give those away, but I really don't know. Desperate times lead to desperate measures!
  9. I understand the need to bring in more business but surely there was a better way than this. I will just leave this here: WELCOME TO SEABOURN CLUB Now that you have sailed with Seabourn, you understand the unique sense of belonging that occurs as you get to know the interesting, convivial people who share your voyage. That same sense of belonging to a cordial group of travelers is enjoyed by those and only those — who have sailed with us, as members of our exclusive Seabourn Club. Seabourn Club Benefits have always been among the most valuable in the cruise industry, especially the Milestone Award of a complimentary cruise after sailing 140 days. We have added benefits that start rewarding you after your first cruise, and increase in value as you sail more. Because personalization is a hallmark of Seabourn's service, you are free to choose the rewards you prefer from a generous menu of onboard amenities. https://www.seabourn.com/en_US/seabourn-club.html
  10. On the subject of Milestone Awards I assume they will remain based on actual days sailed? I expect this particular benefit to disappear with the sale of Seabourn, but in the meantime I can't imagine this will be just handed over to new guests. Surely not?
  11. I am very much looking forward to reading your reports from Sojourn, I know they will be balanced and fair.
  12. I just spoke to our very good cruise friends and this subject came up. They feel that this move by Seabourn is demonstrating a poor attitude to loyal cruisers who are now less valued by the line. My own opinion is that it would have been more appropriate to offer lower loyalty levels to Crystal guests, who lets face it the majority would prefer to be sailing Crystal and will no doubt return at the relaunch. I agree with you about internet and laundry, those are my concerns about this. Sadly I feel that this decision is just the beginning of some difficult changes ahead.
  13. My point is that those who have tried SB and have commented here don't seem at all keen on the line. From what I read of CC posts it would not have made one jot of difference to their opinion had this offer been available to them. Seabourn isn't reading the room very well!
  14. And the irony of the situation is that the Crystal cruisers who tried Seabourn all appear to dislike it, at least the people who have commented on this board.
  15. Thank you texanaust for your reports and the photos. It's so good to see Sojourn again, almost 2.5 yrs after leaving her last time. My favourite ship in the fleet. The food looks good. I would have been first off the ship this morning to purchase some of the famous Bandol rosé wines! I hope that you continue to have a very enjoyable cruise, especially as your suite situation has apparently now been properly resolved.
  16. The large toiletries were in place on Sojourn during our last cruise. Along with the do not steal notice. They appeared towards the end of the cruise, so that was early January 2020. I think I mentioned it here at CC at the time.
  17. Same for us. We have always received written acknowledgment of our contribution to crew fund. It sounds as if something unfortunately went wrong for commodoredave.
  18. Totally off topic but I have to ask! As a non native speaker I'm always trying to improve my knowledge of the English language and I think there is an error in my post above. I think that apostrophe in cruiser's is in the wrong place. English is a tough language! 😀 Should it be cruisers', not cruiser's?
  19. Thanks everyone! I'm excited about Venture and so am very much looking forward to reading cruiser's experience onboard. Fingers tightly crossed that they do get the ship to schedule at the end of July,
  20. I heard the maiden voyage is cancelled due to shipyard issues. Is this true? Does anyone know, if the next cruise will go ahead?
  21. I have sailed with SB since 2012 and never seen actual candles or flambé dishes in the MDR. I know that flambé was a thing on the triplets but I never sailed on them. So my experience is a decade of O class ships. I always appreciated the imitation candles, and I'm a person who doesn't usually care for 'faux' anything. 😀
  22. No, first cruise is in early June, possibly the 6th of June.
  23. Paula, Sojourn hasn't sailed for two years. The last in the fleet to return to service. First cruise will be .early June.
