  1. I’ll be on the lookout, but you’ll be on vacation. Trust me, I’m counting the days. Parking, pre-hotel and Paradise Beach were all booked when I got back from my June cruise.
  2. I’m one of those weird OCD people who can’t stand to have any unopened/unread/unlistened emails, texts or voice mails (red circles). It drives me nuts. Imagine me furiously going through them all after my phone comes out of the safe after being turned off for a week while on a cruise.
  3. That's why sports are played. In my son's last year of travel hockey eligibility (he was 18), his team made it to the best 2-out-of-3 finals of the playoffs, despite having the worst record in the league. They played the team with the best record in the regular season. Yep, it went to a winner-take-all game 3. Ended up 0-0 after regulation, so they went to a shootout. My son scored on his shootout attempt, not surprisingly, as he had a wicked shot that goalies couldn't catch up to (I have that goal on video). It ended up going 11 players deep in the shootout, where they lost by 1.
  4. That can also include significant others (not that I would know anything about that).
  5. Following. I'd tell you to have a blast, but it goes without saying that you will.
  6. Did you wonder what the hype was all about (a-la: overrated)?
  7. Texting feature in the Hub app onboard varies widely from ship to ship. On the Celebration last year, although my phone was on the ship’s Wi-Fi and in Airplane mode, I regularly received texts from other iPhones back on land. On the Dream 2 weeks ago, not only could I not send/receive texts from back on land, the ship’s Wi-Fi constantly kicked me off the Hub app. One day, I couldn’t even connect to the Wi-Fi. What was even stranger is that I constantly received emails, even though my phone was in Airplane mode and had data services turned off on my phone.
  8. Just wait until you step outside into what is known as he_ _!
  9. Is that a sculpture made out of all the trash found outside your room?
  10. Watch WFAA regularly in Dallas. Proofreading both on air and on their X feed is lacking, at best. Don’t spend that at one place. (not sure how much you have to spend to get that much in winnings.)
  11. Two weeks ago, that one would have flown right over my head. Today? I get it. ow in the world would you even remember that? (For that matter, how do I understand the reference?) In the past, you have wondered why people spend so much time in that line. Now you know.
  12. I was just about to ask if the rum punch was a Funship. I can’t get enough of the Funship. I also heard a lot of 🦬 talk last week, and now I see you having some 🦬. I’ll try that on my next cruise on the Breeze in August (if I don’t break down and buy a small bottle from Total Wine before then).
  13. Yep, those stairs are nice and level. With all those plates being thrown, it's a wonder someone doesn't take a shard in the eye! I long for the days of the Black-eyed Pea. GREAT food.
  14. It has taken me 4 days since I returned from my cruise to catch up on this review. As always, very informative and humorous. The scenery and food look amazing. I'll have to live vicariously through these reviews, because the mobility issues with my wife would absolutely prevent me from ever taking this kind of cruise.
  15. Yes. Yes, it is. I went to the pier and watched the Dream arrive this morning.
  16. I saw two of those on my drive from the Dallas area to south of Houston today. I think they look hideous. I also had to stop at Buc-Ees on our drive. It has always amazed me that the place looks like an ant farm with people walking every which way throughout the whole place. Constant movement.
  17. I've not been on the Dream (or the Breeze, which I'll be on in August, thanks to our favorite local assistant). I went back and re-read your latest review of the Dream to get my bearings. After these 2 cruises, I'll be at 74 nights, which means I'll just have to take another one to reach platinum.
  18. I was going to say, “That’s just wrong,” until I remembered that I got that beat.
  19. I'm right in the middle of that picture (I had no idea there is a Climax around here). Thunder started at about 2am and didn't stop until after 6. It was nowhere near as severe as it was last week. We received another 1" of rain overnight, in addition to the 7+ inches we received over the last week.
  20. After seeing all these drinks, I’ve been scouring different bar menus online so that I can plan my different drinks on the Dream next week. In the past, I’ve pretty much been a beer and Funship guy with a few drinks from Alchemy here and there. I’ll be broadening my horizon. Just saw the Long Island Iced Teas, of which I’ve had many.
