  1. I heard an interview with the family of Roger Maris .As much as they root for the Yankees they would like to see the 61 stay at the top.I remember that year..My feeling was that the only player who would ever come close to 61 would be Mantle. Do you ever go to see the Hudson Valley Renegades ?
  2. We are in a townhouse condo .In one of the closets which is 6’x6’ I have 5 crates filled with the collectibles.I have the playbills in albums in alphabetical order .
  3. John Voights brother James is better known as singer /songwriter Chip Taylor .Taylor at one time lived with his family in Westchester,NY next door to one of my nieces and her family.Even though he is divorced he is on good terms with his ex-wife and comes to see her and her family at Christmas. Many years ago my niece invited my wife and I on a day when she knew Chip would be at her house and we got the opportunity to meet him .To date I have had several conversations with him .We have yet to meet James Voight .
  4. I have ticket stubs from every play we have been to ,every concert and every sporting event. We downsized in 2003 and moved .I got rid of a lot of things but not my collectibles. In 1967 my wife and I went to see a college production at St.John’s .One of the actors was George Dzundza who has been in many movies and tv shows .
  5. My wife and I saw the original production in 1969.We saved the playbills from every play we have ever been to.I like looking at the ones from our early days of going to the theater and see names of unknown actors who became stars.I also have the programs from college productions that we attended all over North America.
  6. Continuing with restaurant discussions, one of my son in laws is on a business trip this week in California.Last night he and his co-workers went to The Milky Way in Los Angeles. It is a restaurant that opened in the 1970’s by the parents of Steven Spielberg.
  7. That should be a very interesting experience.I hope you enjoy it.
  8. Over the years we have been to Broadway,Off Bway,Off. off ,Regional and local theaters .We have had the pleasure of seeing great productions directed by people unknown to the majority of theater goers.

  11. A friend took me to an In N Out burger restaurant in Southern California many years ago.I bought a tee shirt because of the name of the place but I did not think there was anything special about the food there.
  12. When I was in my teens and early 20’s ,every Friday night and Saturday night everyone seemed to be in the neighborhood diner to discuss everything that happened earlier in the evenings ,similiar to the movie Diner. When I was living in Canarsie there were three Diners that were always mobbed on Saturday night. One is still open.We have good diners in LI and have been to several in SI and NJ in recent years.
  13. We have cousins in Manalapan and when we get off the GSP we pass a WaWa .I have had many friends and co-workers who lived in Bensonhurst and I was always there. On our first date Toby and I went to Jahn’s on 86 St. We bought our first living room carpet on the other side of the street. The son of one of my friends was the house DJ at Peggy O’Neils and his future wife was a bartender there. I knew people who lived on Bay 19 St and moved to SI later on.In fact nearly everyone I knew in the area either moved to SI or NJ.
  14. In 2004 when I was working in Advertising I was at a Trade Show with several co-workers.One of the guys saw a WC and when we were leaving for the day he bought a Sack.I cannot recall how many were in the bag but he was the only one to buy any.
