  1. Can anyone give feedback on pros and cons of Cabana rental? 550$ seems high. There will be 4 adults and 2 kids age 10 and 8

I rented a small cabana in 2015 for my family of 4. We truly enjoyed the cabana. It was clean and comfortable. The set up was also very nice. We had a table with chairs and loungers along with water and chips & salsa. It was also equipped with a fridge, ceiling fan and a shower in the back. After exploring the island it was nice to a private spot to relax before going back to the ship.

  2. We are excited as this will be our first NCL cruise. We have sailed on Royal and Carnival and wanted to give Norwegian a try. We booked way out in February 2019 since we have cruises already booked for 2017, and 2018. Plenty of time for research and planning :). Sailing out of NOLA with stops in cozumel, Roatan, Harvest Caye, and Costa Maya. Looking forward to this itinerary.

Beautiful ship. I've sailed on her 3 times and enjoyed each trip. Have a great time and enjoy your upcoming cruises!

  3. Thanks renjrusa. I'm familiar with both Thomaston and Waterbury. I worked in Bantam for about 3 years.

We lucked out in the weather department in my town.....not even a school delay. I was glad that we did not loose power.

Great job on all the excercise. I may look into a Fitbit for more accountability and motivation.

  4. Hello all,

I too am trying to shed some pounds for an upcoming cruise in July. I can honestly say that snacks are my weakness. I'm trying to cut back as well as eat more fruits and vegetables. I know that adding exercise is a big help so I am slowly trying to add it into my daily routine. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical last night and the plan is to do the same tonight.

Wishing everyone well on their weight loss journeys!!

  5. Hi everyone,

I will be traveling on the breakaway in July of 2017. My teenage son will most likely spend the majority of his time with teens from entourage. I would love to meet some singles who will also be on this sailing.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Hello Everyone,

I am so glad that I found this thread. I am looking for some support in my pre-cruise weight loss journey. In the past, I have had no issues staying focused when trying to loose weight, especially if I had a vacation planned. This year is a different story . I have tried for weeks now to get this diet started and each time I fall right off the wagon. I know that I have put on some weight and would like to loss at least 10 pounds. I know it is possible since I have 68 days till vacation. So I am going to buckle down this time and make it work. Wish me luck :).

  7.

I started 2 weeks ago at 179 and I am now down to 174. I am happy with it but would LOVE to get down lower. I cannot even stomach putting a bathing suit on. Which brings me to another question that I hope some of you women can help me with. I dont know how else to say it but just blurt it out.. Where do fully busted women get a bathing suit:rolleyes: ????

Believe it or not, I was in Kohl's last week and something told me to take a look at the swimsuit section because the good one's go quick. I found too suits that I love. They are have tummy control but no underwire. I was skeptical at first but when I tried them on there is a large / strong band that really does offer great support. The suits were over $100 dollars a piece but they were on sale for $79 and then I also had 20% off too. Still a little more than I would have liked to have spent but I looked great so it was well worth it. I almost orded a miralce suit from Victoria's Secret that was just as much as I paid for the 2 swimsuits at Khol's....I am so glad that I didn't. Good Luck bathing suit shopping.

  8. It's Monday and my day to "start over again". I wish I had listened to my mother when I was about 13 and taken off the weight then because 40+ years later, it's harder than ever.

Boy......do I know what you mean. It seems like I would loose weight if I chewed gum when I was younger, but now forget about it. I know it is hard but just hang in there. It may take longer but it will happen ;).

  9. Have you tried the Jimmy Dean's D'light breakfast bowls? Only 7pts for the one i eat. It has turkey sausage, egg, cheese, and potatoes. Needs a little seasoning (salt and pepper) but otherwise pretty good, I think. I eat them a couple of times a week, very filling. ;)

It's funny because my son eats the regular Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls and he loves them. I have never tried them. Thanks for the tip b/c now I will give them a try.

The chili was a hit yesterday. I plan on having some for lunch today. Next time I will not use the jalapeno pepper. It was a bit more spicer than I expected.

Hope everyone enjoys there week....I can't believe Thanksgiving is Thursday.

  10. I had breakfast (wheat thins and peanut butter) but for some reason it did not fill me. I ate my banana and an hour later I was starving. I ended up eating a 6 point bag of sun chips. Sooooo, I am over my alloted points for the day . I guess I will just go out for dinner tonight and then go to Zumba in the morning.

Tomorrow I will be making the beef and bean chili recipe that I found on weight watchers. I hope I like it :).

  11. Well did it again. Managed to pull off another pound. Did not think it would happen but it did. Good luck to all in the upcoming week.

    Congratulations on your weight loss.

One of my friends joined the same gym that I go to. So last night we did the eliptical for 18 minutes and rode the stationary bikes for 18 minutes. I have not rode a bike in years so that was a nice change. I didn't burn as many calories as I usually do when I walk the treadmill but it is always good to switch it up. We also did a few weight machines. I worked on my arms and legs. After the gym I had a 1/2 cup of breyers neopolitan icecream. I crushed up one nature valley oats & honey bar and mixed it in for a nice 5 point treat.

  12. I get weighed at home, each Saturday morning in the exact same spot at the exact same time (give or take).

    Thanks:o

Well, just continue to hang in there. I am sure you will begin to see the numbers decrease on the scale.

I just came back from the gym. I ended up doing the step class and zumba too. What a workout!!!! If I could only get the hang of that darn step class. I was able to pick up a few more of the steps this week so if I keep at it I will have them down in no time.
