  1. It’s possible that you were “red flagged”. In the hotel industry if a customer has a negative experience/complaint, their account is flagged to insure that they are given superior service so as not to have any additional problems that might affect their stay. The steward should not have mentioned the notation.
  2. I’m considering this one, but the boat doesn’t look like it has much shade. Plus it takes up to 25 people, so idk if it’ll be crowded. Was looking at Bonaire Tours and Vacations “Champagne Fun Snorkle” on a yacht, but cannot find many reviews.
  3. I did, but the info was mostly old.
  4. Researching tours for an ABC Freedom Cruise in May. For those familiar with Calabaza snorkeling with turtles tours in Barbados, are their comomparable tours in any of the ABC islands, preferably Bonaire? My DH no longer enjoys snorkeling so I’m looking for an on the water experience that can be enjoyed without getting in. Nice boat with shade and comfy place to sit, some beers, nice views. I think we paid $115 for Calabaza and he said it was worth it even without snorkeling.
  5. I don’t understand these beds. Are they in an L shape? One person sleeps against the wall and the other person perpendicular to them? Are they going to tuck the bedcovers in neatly like the photos, or just do a “pull up “ like Royal does? What about those pillows? Do you throw them off the bed when you sleep? I always take the decorative pillows and little cummerbund strip off the bed and put them in the closet because I know they are not washed between guests. Not sure if I care for this setup.

  7. Hey, I might get lucky! What a great deal! Mine was a no-go today, offer only for new bookings and I was moving from another booking. An hour and 20 minutes to set up, their service not the greatest at the big box.
  8. Last Liberty cruise We has a “Buyer’s Choice” pkg from our agent, allowing a specialty dinner for up th 4 people. After our dinner in Chops, someone came by our table in the dining room and informed us that we had another night coming and we went to Giovanni’s complimentary as well. I was wondering if anyone else had this experience.
  9. Thanks, everyone. Agreed, the card room is a dreary little space, makes no sense to convert to these. Maybe it’s a way to cut staff.
  10. Any up to date info on the Cigar Lounge deck 5 on the Freedom? CC maps show that it’s still there. I know this feature is going away, but do any other ships still have them? Hubby likes his scotch & cigar after dinner.
  11. People tend to yell when they are drunk, probably making good use of the drink pkg. We were recently on the Allure, and our main complaint was rude passengers at the elevators, dashing in before the elderly and handicapped who had been waiting. My husband started actually blocking people when they tried this. We are from Texas, and the lack of commen courtesy was appalling.
  12. What’s up with the non- refundable deposits on European cruises? I’m tempted to book for 2020, but a $500 penalty is a bit severe.
  13. Oasis-class ship coming to Galveston May 2020!!! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  14. Semper Fi, aunt of 2 marines. We’re on this cruise, too, looking at the Allure from our balcony at the Marriott Beach right now. Getting excited! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  15. The corned beef hash, with a soft-fried egg on top, is my favorite breakfast item in the windjammer. Key lime pie is the best free dessert, but the apple pie from Johnny Rockets is really good. Sent from my iPad using Forums
