Nothing Comes Close to the outrageous prices Celebrity charges for a solo cabin...

We always book SV cabins as well... but several times the lovely balcony was unusable due to weather... either way too hot or very windy and cold. It's just a love of the wake view... and not being bothered by movement if the seas are a bit rocky.

Have had very little luck with that email... usually end up calling... lol -
Kettle in cabin on European cruises on Ascent
twincheryl replied to Lindypops's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Have always been able to get one… just ask your steward. -
You must call to get the Elite discount… the flash sales are not combinable, but generally the normal sales are. Read the fine print very carefully and all the way thru… generally says whether it is combinable. A few months back there was talk of the Elite discount coming up in the planner, but we have had several cruises since that rumor and have never seen it on ours. Does seem like an easy thing for them to do… lol… but Celebrity IT does have lots of issues.

They were on Reflection in early January… enjoy seeing them!

Noise level on Celebrity Summit Sunset Cabins
twincheryl replied to junebug61's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Several times… no noise at all… our favorite deck! -
Well, there's our answer... never been in a suite, so would not know that. Interesting...

Correct… we always have 3 sunset veranda cabins in a row… with the partitions open you can walk next door and just open the slider from outside. Have not had this issue on any class of ship… maybe different door styles in various locations?

Thinking of Reflection, cruised Royal & NCL Before
twincheryl replied to QuickieGlenn's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We have been on NCL, HAL, Princess, but mostly Royal and Celebrity. Just got off Reflection a week ago and found everything to be great. No complaints except a lack of servers walking around in bar and buffet areas... which didn't really make a big difference to us. Normal cabins have not been totally redone but were very clean... maybe needing an upholstery refresh on the couch. Would not hesitate to cruise on Reflection again. -
Just returned from 8 nt ABC on Reflection and we changed the clocks to port time.

First suggestion would be ExecutiveOffice@celebrity.com. I have found them to be quite responsive. Other suggestion is Lhodges-bethge@celebritycruises.com. Good luck!

Just off Reflection yesterday and no tote bag… asked steward and he said they are by request only… we were in sunset veranda… may be different in suite category… very cheap tan canvas with no zipper or pockets but did what it was supposed to do.

We rented a car for much less than that… it was great to drive around on our own and see what we wanted to se, get some lunch, etc.

-A Diiferent HAL vs Celebrity Comparison
twincheryl replied to mcrcruiser's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Thanks! We got a great deal and the premium Have It All, or wharever they call it. Agree that it’s time to branch out and see what else is out there. We have cruised Princess, NCL, and HAL a while back on older ships, so we’ll see how it goes. -

Like others who are sad to see Celebrity leave the west coast, we have booked a short 7 day to Mexico in Jan 2025 so we don’t have to fly anywhere. It has two ports that we’ve not been to in our many early years of cruising Carnival from Long Beach when that was all we could afford. It’s on a newer ship, so we shall see. We are currently on Reflection and find most everything to be as we have experienced many times before… a lack of bar servers is the big missing link. The rest of the experience is filled with friendly and helpful staff. Will continue with Celebrity as much as possible in the future. -
Yes… looking at the Celebrity Today as I type…We will check your bags in and print your boarding pass onboard… fee of $29 per person. Available on flights from FLL on select airlines. Deadline to register is 1/10 before 3pm (we debark on 1/14).

Have never seen it… but I just get a can of club soda and drop in a piece of pineapple or watermelon from the buffet… or a splash of fruit punch or juice from the dispenser. Take a plastic glass of fruit back to your cabin fridge to use later…

Was so excited to see a couple of those news articles. We are currently on Reflection to ABC Islands and have 8 more cruises that were booked before this new pricing scheme. Three of them are on other lines even though Celebrity is by far our favorite… but the prices even before this were hard to pass up. We were excited to finally get to Elite Plus on Celebrity but as we are solos who always book SV cabins we just cannot book with this increase in price. The last booking we made in early Dec went from $4700 to now almost $9000 with this ridiculous scheme, Still waiting for my return call from the executive office… 😎
