Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Reasonable dress code?? That is your opinion. There are plenty who feel otherwise.
  2. Yes, I had the morning Lindos excursion as well and was very close to going back into town with the other bus due to the rain. Took a gamble though which paid off with some beautiful views from the top of the Acropolis as the sun broke through. Completely understand those who went back though as it was very slippery going up and back. Met Mancunian later in the afternoon and was a pleasure chatting.
  3. Mine are Armani, which I know isn’t cheap but it’s a good investment. Has that timeless Armani look and can be worn for virtually any occasion from 3 Michelin star dining in Paris to wedding or funerals. No exaggeration on how wrinkles just fall out, and it’s lightweight material is a godsend in summer heat.
  4. Exactly, I can’t get over all the complaining. For the men, they have blazers now with this unique fabric that is almost entirely wrinkle resistant and very lightweight. You can crumple it up or whatever in your luggage, and when you unpack, hang it up overnight and any wrinkles are gone. I have two of these, one in dark charcoal and the other in camel. Takes up no space in luggage. Incredibly versatile.
  5. I’m onboard for this sailing as well and I agree that it’s very quiet onboard given the lower passenger count. I dined at Salt Kitchen as well last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also was happy with the number of activities this morning and they have some great enrichment lectures planned for the cruise.
  6. Same here, I’m 48 and love the dress code. The assumption that all “younger” clientele wants casual is a misnomer. For those that do, there are plenty of alternatives.
  7. Where are you seeing this in "My Silversea"? I see places for food allergies, pillow preferences, and bed configuration; nothing about drinks.
  8. Just returned from two weeks in Dubai and surrounding area and was never once asked for additional tips.
  9. You've got one heck of a crystal ball then. Silversea is doing just fine.
  10. Yes, I'm heartsick about missing Egypt as well. I just can't justify losing 75% of my investment in the trip at this point.
  11. Wow, talk about an overreaction. I'm glad I don't let silly things like this ruin my vacation.
  12. Check your my activities on my.silversea.com. They just removed Doha and replaced it with an overnight in Dubai and a sea day. No emails received yet.
