  1. You get a flyer in your cabin telling you about it & which airlines are participating (not all cruises offer it but ask if you don't get it along with the paperwork you have to fill out for disembarkation). In March your flight had to be at least after 11:30 if out of FLL and 2pm if out of MIA. Then the night before you will get tags and if "accepted" into the program the tags are different. If you don't have those tags don't put your suitcase out right away because they may come later (again check at the front desk). If accepted you will get a boarding pass and tags for your bags that you on your bags instead of the regular tags. You will just pick up your bags when you get to your final stop (i.e. it is checked all the way through). The cost in March was $25 per person. If you do not have status on the airline you pay the normal baggage fee per bag BUT there is no charge for overweight bags.
  2. And if you can use EZ-Check there is no luggage to deal with which makes it faster once you are off the ship and at the airport.
  3. Not the Sky but we were on the Enchanted in March and it was 6:30-8:30.
  4. Just wondering if with the removal of the suite only dining room if they will offer the suite breakfast in Sabitinis or Crown Grill like on other ships.
  5. Was it just one bag or one per person?
  6. At the International Cafe they usually have cardboard drink carriers but you have to ask for it. And the later in the cruise the less likely you are to get one (they ask they you bring it with you each day not ask for a new one each day).
  7. In Nanortalik our tour to the hot springs was canceled so we did an hour boat trip to see ice burgs plus did the museum and visited the community center (no dance show). In Qaqortog I did the trip to the church ruins of Hvalsey but despite the description there would be a guide when we arrived it was all DIY with a few signs. Then I walked around town, went to the museum and the old church. Some people took the local bus around town and it was a very inexpensive way to see the area.
  8. We were there a few years ago (sounds like the same cruise as Westcoaster with Nuuk being canceled due to weather). In Nanortalik, besides at the museum there was a public toilet in the tourist office and then a toilet if you paid to go to the event in the community center. I don't recall one either way in Qaqortoc. While waiting in line, more so in Nanortalik where the long line was steady, they handed out hot chocolate. In Qaqortoc the line to get back on board seemed to be up & down so if you timed it right you didn't have to wait long.
  9. We will be doing a cruise early next year with three tender ports (we generally do trips that don't have tenders but no choice this time). If for example a tour says it starts at 9am am I correct that is when it leaves from the dock not the ship?
  10. What time would we need to get off the ship? Should we pre-book a ride?
  11. How easy is it to get a taxi from the Auckland cruise port to the airport?
  12. Since there is no longer a Suite only dining room any idea if Suite Breakast (Breakfast at Sabitini's) will be offered?
