  1. I've been on Celebrity many times in both Retreat and Verandah cabins. Also been on MSC in the Aurea 'experience' and recently Yacht Club on the Meraviglia for a B2B. While I love the smaller Celebrity ships (Summit etc.) I also loved the Yacht Club offerings a great deal. And MSC is now so much less expensive for Yacht Club than Retreat on Celebrity. For me, it's currently no contest to book with MSC. The Yacht Club service and inclusions (including amazing embarkation) are simply amazing. If and when Celebrity offers pricing that competes with MSC I'll be happy to return but not until then! Happy cruising!
  2. Or....they could offer a full bar in the theatre itself and let everyone order what they actually want! I guess that would happen in an ideal cruise world!
  3. I totally agree with you there! I was seriously disappointed with the pink drink in the 'fancy' glass on the first show....it was left with lots in it! But I was happy to have my glass of champagne during the second show! 🙂
  4. Re: the Carousel shows and the drinks..... I was on a B2B very recently and the first show I tried the 'included' drink. Nope....didn't like it. The next show I just brought my own from the casino bar with no problem at all. Have a great cruise!
  5. Hi all... currently on the second cruise of a Meraviglia B2B and was lucky enough to have cabana 13 both weeks. Beautiful view, less than a minute to the water and less $$ than ocean front (which has been accurately described as more beach chair front). I'm very thankful that I was able to dock both weeks at Ocean Cay. Loved the cabana and the lobster roll! Happy sailing!
  6. Hi all.... about to go on the Meraviglia next Sunday out of Brooklyn for a B2B. How smoky is the casino in the slots areas? I've read the thread but I'm still not sure about the casino overall... Thanks! Happy Sailing!! 🙂
  7. Charstang Thank you! I will report back after my B2B starting next Sunday. I, too, absolutely love fresh flowers in the cabin and can't understand why MSC doesn't sell arrangements.
  8. Thank you so much for the good news!! I'll report back with my sucess!
  9. Hi all.... Boarding the Meraviglia on 2/18 and wondered if I can bring fresh flowers on at the Brooklyn port? As I'm driving to the port and MSC doesn't offer fresh flowers to purchase I'd love to bring some with me. Any thoughts/experience/knowledge about this? Happy Sailing!
  10. Hi all, Anyone know what CV4 at the end of the code means?? I'm so curious! The beginning from mine is HEP but ends in CV4. Thanks!
  11. Thanks to all for you insight and information....and well wishes! The cruise isn't until October, 2025 but I'm already very energetic about it! Happy cruising!
  12. He was excellent! I know we aren't allowed to give TA names but are we allowed to share PCC's name?
  13. Thank you for the answers. I am sticking with the PCC....
  14. Thank you POA1! I have decisions to make!
  15. Thank you! Good to know about commissions for PCC's and about no changes except for final payment. If I transfer the reservation can I somehow call the PCC out for truly outstanding service with the company? I'd like to maintain my relationship with him if my TA ever disappears.
  16. This thread is of great interest to me as I just booked a 45 night cruise on the Volendam through HAL directly. The rep. (PCC) was very responsive, seemed knowledgeable and answered all my questions...even if he had to ask colleagues for the answers. In any case, I got the stateroom I want, the HIA and the price has already gone up a couple thousand dollars since I booked a few days ago. I have a TA that I've used on several big trips and she has always been able to boost OBC and/or discount the fare. I reached out to her to see what she can offer and I was impressed. My question is will anything change on my current booking if I transfer the reservation? I don't want to penalize the PCC as he was very good and I don't want to have anything on my reservation be different in any way. Do PCC's work on commission? Thanks for any thoughts/ insights!
  17. Ha! I clarified because when I reread my post I realized that it sounded confusing! Girlfriend? Husband? I've had people on here confused about my screen name before so I occasionally clarify! 🙂
  18. Yes! From CT now after years in NY. And not for nothing but my screen name TYMIKE was created to thank my husband Mike for our first cruise 13 years ago this week! Many cruises since then and (hopefully) many more to come! 🙂
  19. So, so many thanks to all for the vast amount of information. Very appreciated! I'm thinking to get off the ship early and run around NYC until reboarding. I lived in NYC for years so getting around on my own isn't intimidating. Of course...I reserve the right to be lazier than that and spend much of the changeover on the ship!
  20. Hi all, Apologies way in advance if this question has been asked thousands of times.... I've never been on a b2b cruise. Going week one with a girlfriend and then my husband will meet me for the second week. Do I need to get off the ship and go through passport control/customs after week one? I will be in the same stateroom; do my bags have to leave the ship? Do I even need to pack my things or can everything in the cabin stay in it's place from week one? Any information about what I should expect would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
  21. Thank you for this information! I have two MSC cruises coming up after having taken one but I have some of the 'status' with several hotels and casinos so I'll see what I can get. Much appreciated!
  22. Addendum... No...I don't want to play music or anything having to do with noise! 🙂
  23. Hi all.... I think my title says it all..... If anyone has this information I'd really appreciate it! Thanks as always!
