  1. We are looking for recommendations for things to do in Cozumel that our 2 year old and 4 year old granddaughters would enjoy.  I have read to do one of the beach clubs but don't want to be in a party atmosphere with them all day.  Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Sea turtle excursion was amazing.  We did it Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  We walked to the end of the pier and found our guide and signed in with our name and email and gave him our ticket. His name was Nacho and his helper was William.  They were great.  We waited 10 minutes to leave.  Walked to and loaded an open air bus.  Nacho told us what to expect during the tour.  He also told us he could not guarantee that we would find a live baby sea turtle but the likelihood was good.  We drove about 20-30 minutes to the beach with Nacho explaining things to us as we drove.  We got to the beach and they gave us gloves.  I am allergic to latex so I took my own.  They explained how to dig for the turtles.  We were split into groups of 6.  We had a big umbrella that shaded the spot we were digging in.  We started digging and the sand kept caving in from the sides.  We dug for about 15 minutes and asked the biologist to come check ours. We were digging a couple inches in the wrong direction.  So we started moved to the correct spot and immediately started finding hatched eggs, shells, and then we found our turtle! It was a white albino sea turtle!  There is a chance of one in a million to find an albino sea turtle.   He was the cutest thing.  Flapping his arms immediately.  He was approximately 2 days old according to the biologist.  They can last 2-4 days in the hole.  We put sand in the bucket and placed him in the bucket.  We named him James because the person who was digging at the time he was found was James.  We all took pictures with James.  The biologist took him so that others could get pictures with him.  We ended up finding about 120 shells and unhatched eggs.  The smell was terrible.  Flies started swarming the eggs. We were told to put the eggs in a pile of 10 so that the biologist could easily count how many were found.  The biologist was going to keep James until that evening so that he could flap his arms to walk to the ocean when it was darker out and they would have better chance of survival.  We were given a cold bottle of water.  In all our busload found 2 regular colored green sea turtles and our albino turtle.  It was so awesome to hold these precious babies and know that we were trying to help them survive.  We loaded back on the bus and went to a beach for lunch.   We had a chance to shower off and get the sand off of us.  We sat at the restaurant and ordered food and drinks.  The food was good and drinks were cold.  There were lots of vendors who came by to sell us their trinkets and such.  We also had the opportunity to purchase the picture that was taken of us with James.  We then had time to hang on the beach.  We used the hammocks to relax and cool off.  Once that was over (about an hour and a half) we loaded the bus back to the ship.  We had time to shop a little once back at port and take a few pictures.  I would definitely recommend this tour!  It was a once in a lifetime experience.  It was amazing.  Nacho and William were awesome tour guides!  I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone!0A01FD41-59D0-4378-97A9-9DAF64786623.thumb.jpeg.06bb64da36d97bd5dbfef26e6a034628.jpeg5F8FF8CE-77A4-455B-B4B9-AEBE6682C928.thumb.jpeg.5b514bf61d01f221734b2fd9ea8cb0cb.jpeg

  4. We will be on the Carnival Breeze at the end of this month.  I was on the Carnival Magic last September.  I loved the guava passion fruit juice they had for breakfast in the buffet.  Anyone cruised the Breeze lately know if they have this juice with the other juices that are available (with the apple juice, orange juice)?  I am so excited to be on this girls trip!!!!!!  Thanks, in advance, for the information.

  5. We will be sailing on the Carnival Breeze on 9/26-10/1.  There will be 3 ladies staying in this room.  I am sure we will need more than 2 outlets to plug things into.  I bought a power supply in 2019 and I don't know if it will work on Carnival.  It did not work on Celebrity Equinox in January but did work on the Disney Fantasy.  Does anyone have a photo of the desk area in an Deluxe Oceanview stateroom so that I could see what the plug in looks like?  I have attached a picture of what I bought.

  6. Hello!  We would like to do a beach day when we port in Progresso in September this year.  We will be on the Carnival Breeze.  Several different questions about Progresso Beach.

I have watched videos on how to get to the beach from the cruise port.  Anyone that has been there recently (post COVID shutdown) know if you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach?  If so, do you know how much it is? Do vendors take US dollars?  Is this something that can be done prior to us being on the cruise?

Also, has anyone had a Massage by Maria on the beach recently?  Thoughts and suggestions.  What do you wear?  Is there a place to change clothes?

One more thing - where do you recommend for us to get lunch while on the beach?

  7. We booked bonaire cruisers golf carts as well.  According to the owner, they are still renting golf carts to passengers on cruise ships.  According the the Celebrity website, it is required by the government in Bonaire however, the owner of Bonaire Cruiser's has not been notified of this change.  There is only 2 excursions left to book with the cruise line and neither of them interest the 8 of us and they are $90 - $100 per person.

I live in Curaçao.  As of today, Curaçao is absolutely allowing cruise ship passengers off the ship on their own (following any restrictions from the cruise line of course).

What is the situation now with the port?  We are on the Celebrity Equinox sailing January 21 and have been advised we had to book excursions through the ship because of government regulations.  Here is what they have on the Celebrity website.  We have a private excursion booked with only our 8 passengers and a guide.  Will we be allowed to go thru the port and meet our guide at the Starbucks?

Excursions provided by Celebrity Cruises are required in:

    • Belize City, Belize
    • Bridgetown, Barbados
    • Castries, St. Lucia
    • Colon, Panama
    • Falmouth, Jamaica
    • Kingstown, St. Vincent
    • Kralendijk, Bonaire
    • Oranjestad, Aruba

  10. This is our first cruise on Celebrity.  We will be boarding the Equinox on Friday, January 20, 2022.  We have all of our excursions planned and booked.  I was looking online tonight because I can't sleep and noticed this little bit of information that could put a damper on our plans.  Am I reading this correctly?  We must take a Celebrity Excursion and cannot plan our own excursion on these islands.  We are going to Bimini, Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.

All vaccinated guests may go ashore on their own in ports where it's permitted.

Please be aware that as destination conditions change, you may be required to go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises. This will help to keep you safe and healthy for the rest of your vacation.

Unvaccinated guests and families with unvaccinated children may only go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises.

Shore excursion guidance is listed below. We will continue to monitor and update as any changes to local requirements occur.

Excursions provided by Celebrity Cruises are required in:

    • Belize City, Belize

  11. I have gone through most of the 2019 and 2018 cruise reviews and Ports of call San Francisco. I do not see anything for the Carnival Miracle from SF to Alaska. Is this a new route for Carnival? I have several questions about this cruise if anyone has cruised SF to Alaska before.

How are the sea days as far as waves and sea sickness? We have cruised several times and didn’t have an issue except for the Disney Cruises because the ships are smaller. We didn’t get sick but we could feel the movement more.

How close to shore will the ship be going to Alaska? Will we be able to see land?

Will there be someone (naturalist I think they are called) who will give ideas and information about the ports during the sea days?

What does it mean when the itinerary says cruise Tracy Arm Fjord?

We will have our 15 year old son with us. He loves wolves and anything to do with wolves. Is there somewhere in Juneau, Skagway, Hoonah (Icy Straight Point) we are more likely to see wolves than others?

  12.  We have cruised on Carnival several times and enjoyed our cruise. The last time we sailed on the Dream (7 day) we had a terrible experience. We were trying to let our kids (Ages 7 & 10) swim in the pool and a drunk guy started yelling at our kids and swearing at them.  It was not an adults only area so our kids had a right to be in the pool.  He really upset our 7 year old to the point of tears and she would not get in the pools after that.  We told the security team, that was walking by, what happened and they did nothing.  That left a bad taste in our mouth with Carnival.  We haven't sailed with them since.  My husband does not want to be on a party boat.  That particular cruise seemed to be a drunken party the whole time.  I want to book the June 2021 Alaska cruise out of San Francisco.  We definitely want a balcony room.  Is the atmosphere different on an Alaskan cruise versus a Caribbean cruise?  What are some of the biggest differences in things to do since being in a pool probably won't happen since the temperature of the water might be too cool?  Any advise bout Alaskan cruise?  Also I have heard Aft balconies are bigger and better.  Are they better?  We have only sailed mid ship so I don't know about the ocean and feeling the waves more.  Thanks in advice for your help!

  13. I'm confused. You booked a spring break cruise, posted today, and booked an IGT which got upgraded to a balcony? There are no *GT bookings available for next March at this time. Is this a hoax?[/

Moki’smommy I was referring to our first Disney Fantasy Cruise in 2012 where we were upgraded to balcony room from an guaranteed inside stateroom.
