  1. Isn't a change I like. Don't get me wrong if they want to charge for popcorn I am fine with it if they had popcorn worth paying for. What they have just isn't good enough for a charge. But I would be all for a popcorn bar with different flavors and or good butter popcorn.
  2. Sounds like you need a better Travel agent if it takes the agent 10-16 weeks to get an answer.
  3. I was posting it for the person talking about going from Galveston to Waco then to SC. Not you. I would be willing to bet the person from SC has no ideal how to get around or avoid Traffic in the area. Since they are from South Carolina 😉
  4. I would check the Traffic because it might be easier to take Highway 6 to alvin and then cut up to the beltway to get around Houston if it is a bad trafic day
  5. I don't think people realize how many major cities in driving distance. Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth in the top 11 and Arlington in the top 20. Oklahoma City and New Orleans are also in driving distance. So you have a lot of people that can drive to the port.
  6. Houston is a very large area. If was flying in and wanting to get around town for a day or two I would look to rent a car. What month of the year are you going to Houston?
  7. What they do is just have one plan across all of the Carnival Corp cruise lines.
  8. I know and about three form SA to Waco. (maybe longer depending on traffic Austin sucks and so does Temple not as bad now that the road work is done but last month it sucked) . But if you have as much time to travel as they have you might as well.
  9. Texas Does have higher prices. That is why the port is growing and getting new ships. Lines like higher prices. I grew up there but live in Shreveport LA. Fair wise it is always cheaper out of NO. However since I have family in Galveston County I get to skip a hotel and parking because I can stay at faimly and leave a car there. So that is what I pick. Plus Lots of big Cities in Driving range to the port and Texans are pretty use to making those drives. (I grew up down there)
  10. It is an interesting choice. Not that it is a bad choice. Just that it is over 4 hours away. If you have time to do stuff like that you could also consider San Antonio and then Heading up to Waco. Not that it is close to either. But Hey, if you have the time make the circle and see all there is to see.
  11. If your Travel agent can't promise to get it fixed sounds like you need a new one. Not that that helps at this point.
  12. They will just do what they do now when they don't sell at higher prices which is have a lot of sales.
  13. A 6 hour drive on a week day puts you in Houston at rush hour when you plan to leave that means the trip couu ld be longer. So me I would leave at 10pm and check in at a hotel late. Plus I am usually tired after a drive that long anyways.
  14. I think if I did this the day I left I would put one in the room Safe.
