  1. What is up with CC ???

    I have been reading posts about new website for days.

    Miraculously today when I logged on new website appeared.

    Trying to navigate around site is more confusing than old one, can't find my cruise details, site is nite very fluid.

    CC, you are still a long ways away from a profitable product.

  2. I haven't booked a package in about ten years, back when they were serving Perrier Jouet champagne.

     

    I'm going to ask my partner to marry me on the May 5 sailing of Equinox and I am considering ordering the Premium celebration package. I'm just looking at the cost and wondering, is the Dom Perignon a vintage or a Brut? (I'm not even sure they make a Dom brut?). The price seems very good if it's a vintage bottle.

  3. We were just gifted a Classic Beverage Package. I took a look at the package on the website and I'm not sure how it works.

    I assume any beverage up to a certain amount is covered ?

    I see differences between the Classic and Premium, so if order a bourbon and coke do I tell them I want the bourbon included in package ?

    Do you get some sort of special cup for soft drinks ?

    I'm sorry, I am totally ignorant to the procedure.

    If someone could school me I would greatly appreciate it !

  4. Nice! What difficulties were you having?

    I could not book specialty restaurants, excursions or check payments.

    I emailed numerous times no answer, rudeness via telephone, website is a mess.

    I canceled Princess cruise for same thing.

  5. I have had so many difficulties communicating with Celebrity via telephone and online I went to my travel agent and expressed my frustration and she contacted Celebrity and I was given an upgrade, Classic Beverage Package and $150 obc for each of us.

    I couldn't believe it and immediately asked for written confirmation,

    got it, confirmed !

  6. We are booked on the Ultimate Caribbean Cruise this coming December. We will be visiting St Johns Antuiga, Bridgetown Barbados, Castries St Lucia, and Phillipsburg St Maarten for 2 days.

    I would appreciate any advice on excursions in the above locations.

    Especially any tour to rum or tequila outlets, shopping for souvenirs, purchasing liquor and cigars.

  7. Ok, I know, this subject has been more than a government mule.

    But, it's just so amazing to me that such a large organization could not improve their online presence, especially with number of complaints I have read about.

    It seems as though they are trying to imitate the cable companies, not matter how much you complain they always take the attitude like we have you by the short hairs, take it or leave it, we are the only game in town.

    I was a career military man and law enforcement officer, I wish I was the leader of that organization !

  8. We are cruising on Celebrity out of Fort Lauderdale in December.

    I have been researching Stay/Park/Cruise packages that will allow you to stay the day before cruise, the day of return from cruise, shuttle to port, shuttle after cruise back to hotel and free parking for duration of cruise 10 days.

    There are just too many places with varied options, I would welcome any personal recommendations.

  9. I recently posted about my experience with the CC website.

    I could not do anything on the website at all until I called CC and spoke with customer service.

    After some instructions from the representative I was able to get logged on and maneuver the site.

    Soon after, about 2 weeks, I am not able to maneuver the anymore, I was told to make all reservations through my TA, my TA says that CC is supposed to do it.

    ???

    Not sure what to do, good thing that I still have time to figure things out.

  10. I'm a newbie to cruising, just one prior cruise.

    I don't want to look like a gluten, but, everyone I know who has cruised all tell me to order two starters and two entrees in case there is something you just don't like, I was told that if you order a second entree after your first that it may be a wait to get it.

    Especially the lobster, tails are not very big.

    Any opinions are welcome.

  11. I just booked a concierge balcony for a December cruise.

    Thus will be only my 2nd cruise ever and when I researched Celebrity the concierge package was only a bit more than the deluxe veranda, I also loved the perks that were added and the location of my cabin.

    I will report again after my cruise.

    Oh, btw, if someone has more info on this subject I would love to hear it.

  12. I need the advice of fellow cruisers.

     

    About a month ago I booked a cruise with Princess.

    I had some questions and sent several emails, all went unanswered.

    I called them and a representative told me "don't ever email us, all your emails will not be answered because they go to someplace nobody knows, lol".

    I kind of blew it off until something else came up about onboard credits.

    Again, they did not answer emails and I called them 4-5 times and each time except for once the representatives were not nice and did not solve my problem.

    Today I was connected to someone higher up and not until I threatened to cancel my cruise and go with another cruise line did they promise to correct the problem, TODAY !

    Well, guess what, I got a call back from this "higher up" and she stated that their servers have been having problems she also stated that she will get back with me today or Monday by the latest.

    This is my problem, I have started to research a cruise with Celebrity, I am 99.5 % sure I will cancel cruise with Princess.

    Question: What would you do ?
