Carnival must be getting ready to officially release the sailing dates. The dates have been posted on the Carnival Hub App today for selection under Carnival Firenze. The dates posted in the Carnival Hub App are for May 2024 - April 2025 are listed here, but are tentative until Carnival officially releases since what is in the Hub App may not always be 100% correct. I think the Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise will be around until 2026 or later. Right now the Carnival Elation has a dry-dock scheduled in early 2023 and the Carnival Paradise in the later part of 2023. This should buy each ship another 2-3 years unless Carnival's plans change (which could happen). As we got closer to docking the sun was beginning to rise in the east. Before heading inside I decided to walk up to Deck 11 to get a better look outside. After watching the Carnival Breeze approach the cruise terminal, I went back to my stateroom to grab my suitcase and do a final check. Before leaving my stateroom I stepped outside on the balcony one last time to look outside. Below are some pictures from my balcony: Disembarking The Carnival Breeze: On the last sea day a letter was delivered to my stateroom that said VIFP Platinum guests were allowed to debark early and could arrive in the Ovation Theater at 7:15am prior to debarkation. This time was only for VIFP Platinum guests that were doing self-assist debarkation and did not check any luggage outside their stateroom. I arrived in the lounge right at 7:15am and a crew member was seating everyone in order of arrival. Guests who arrived in the Ovation Theater first were first in line to get off. The seating was very controlled and organized. A few minutes before the ship was given clearance, the crew members working the lounge made an announcement that we would be told when we could get up to leave. When the time came, the crew members went row by row to get people out of the lounge in the order they arrived. When my row was called I got up and took my suitcase to the back of the Ovation Theater. We were directed into the ship's atrium to have our Sail & Sign Cards scanned by security. Security was at the gangway scanning Sail & Sign cards. Note: For a cruiser to get off as self assist, he or she must carry off all luggage and bags. All self assist guests would be allowed off before the general disembarkation guests. Here are a few pictures I took as I walked down the gangway leaving the Carnival Breeze: After getting our Sail & Sign Cards scanned we exited the ship and went down the gangway. Going through customs was very quick and easy. Carnival had the Smile & Go machines setup to take our pictures. This was the process for guests that were US passport holders & used the US passport to board the cruise ship. Guests without passports or foreign visitors had a separate area where they had their documentation scrutinized by a US customs officer. Once getting my picture taken by the Smile & Go machine I walked through the terminal. Before exiting the TABC officials were asking guests to declare any alcohol purchases in order to pay state taxes. I did not have any alcohol so I did not have to worry about paying any tax. From the time of stepping off the ship, it took less than 12 minutes to be outside of the cruise terminal because of how fast and efficient the debarkation process now was. Outside the cruise terminal, we crossed the street to head over to the Port of Galveston's Parking Garage. This was a quick and easy walk! THE END!!! After eating breakfast I walked out the back doors of the Lido Marketplace. The Carnival Breeze was starting the process of turning around. After turning around the ship began to sail backwards to dock at Cruise Terminal #1. Below are some pictures I took during our arrival in Galveston:

The Carnival Breeze's atrium lobby on Deck 3 was setup for the debarkation process. Ropes were setup in the area where the gangway would soon be connected. Ropes and chairs in the atrium were positioned to create a path for guests to get off and prevent chaos in the atrium. Although guests were asked not to wait on Deck 3, visiting Guest Services was still allowed on the last morning. While on Deck 3 I stepped inside the Ovation Theater. The Ovation Theater was the waiting area for Platinum guests as well as guests with early flights. One side of the Ovation Theater was used for guests that needed assistance getting off the ship. Last Breakfast On The Carnival Breeze: Today was our last breakfast on the Carnival Breeze. The Lido Buffet's continental breakfast and main buffet lines were open from 6:00am until 9:00am. By the Lido pool, the Blue Iguana Cantina was open from 7:00am until 9:00am. For cruisers that did not want to eat in the ship's buffet, the Blush Aft Dining Room was open from 6:30am until 8:00am for open seating. The buffet line in the Lido Marketplace served bacon today and french toast was also not served despite the pattern being every other day. A crew member was not serving bacon this morning and the tongs were left out for self-service. It has been a long time since I have been able to serve myself bacon on a cruise! From Deck 15 I walked down to Deck 5 to start walking around the Carnival Breeze's interior areas one last time for the cruise. I started at the front of Deck 5 and worked my way towards the back. There were several people around the Ocean Plaza & Liquid Nightclub area of the ship as people were waiting for the alcohol pick-up that was taking place in the Liquid Nightclub. After walking through Deck 5, I walked down to Deck 4. I could see inside the Blush Dining Room. The lower level (Deck 3) of the dining room was setup for breakfast open seating. The port of call menu was served here for breakfast instead of the Sea Day Brunch menu on this day of the cruise. On Deck 4 I walked from the back to the front atrium area. On my way, I passed by the non-smoking casino annex on Deck 4. Since we were already back in Texas' waters, the casino was closed. In the atrium area of Deck 4, the Pixels Photo Gallery was dark and closed. I think the photo gallery opened briefly on the last morning for last minute purchases.

Last Morning - Galveston, Texas Monday, September 26, 2022 Very Early Morning Walk Around The Carnival Breeze: My alarm was set to go off around 4:15am because I wanted to have time to finish packing and still have time to walk around the ship one last time before getting off. I got up around 4:15am and by 5:00am was ready to walk around the Carnival Breeze. My first stop was the Lido Deck (deck 10) to take some pictures of the Lido Marketplace and main pool area. Breakfast was not opening until 6am so I had plenty of time to take some pictures before other guests came for breakfast. After walking through the Lido Marketplace I stepped outside to look out from the Tides Aft Pool area. The pool was closed and had a giant net over it. The entire deck was very wet. It must have been cleaned during the late night or very early morning hours. From Deck 10, I walked up to Deck 12. I passed by the basketball court, mini golf course, and ropes course. My camera lenses fogged up badly so I was unable to take good pictures of these areas. While up on Deck 15, I walked into the Serenity Adults Only Retreat. A crew member was outside cleaning the chairs and doing some maintenance.

Between dinner and the door opening time for the Ovation Theater, I went back my stateroom. I realized the sunset was likely nearly over, but I stopped on the way at the front of Deck 6 to see if I could still catch a glimpse. Below are some pictures from the front of Deck 6: Playlist Productions Show: "Flick" Tonight's Playlist Productions show was "Flick". This show had a variety of songs and soundtracks from movies. The effects in this show are very neat and the dancers & singers did a great job! The show took place twice in the Ovation Theater. One of the showtimes was 7:30pm and the other was 9:30pm. I enjoyed watching Flick in the Ovation Theater and when the show was over I went up to Deck 5 to walk around the Lanai. I did 3 or 4 laps around. While walking I was able to see drilling rigs in the distance and the lights of passing cargo ships. There was too much light from the Carnival Breeze to see the stars above plus there was a little bit of cloud cover. After walking around Deck 5 I went up to Decks 12 and 15. My primary goal was to head to the Lido Marketplace to get some water, but I made a detour by walking outside first. Jasper was hosting an 80's themed dance party by the Lido Main Pool. It looked like the party had a good turn-out. I walked across Deck 12 to the back of the ship before going inside to the Lido Marketplace. I went to bed early hoping to get a good night's sleep before having to get up early. My plan was to wake up around 4:45am to finish packing and have some time to walk around the ship before breakfast. Once again I did not sleep good. I felt like the A/C temporary stopped running in the middle of the night plus having hallway noise made the night miserable. My bed was comfortable, but I cannot sleep with hallway noise. I could not wait to sleep in my bed at home the following night.

After Lunch we went outside on Deck 7 to have a look out. At some point in the morning we passed by the Carnival Vista. Unfortunately I missed our passing on this day of the cruise, but was glad on our first sea day I was able to see the Carnival Vista and Carnival Dream. The Carnival Dream was sailing towards Key West on this day so I knew not to look for it. I did not stay outside too long because I wanted to get the Ovation Theater before the Q&A started. Q&Awesome With Jasper The Q&Awesome was scheduled in the Ovation Theater at 1:30pm. Our cruise director, Jasper, hosted the event. The Q& Awesome was a time where guests could ask Jasper any questions about living on the ship or being a cruise director. The audience was not very enthusiastic and there were lots of awkward pauses in between questions. I have been on other cruises where lots of great questions were asked and the cruise director was able to give good responses. This was kind of a disappointing Q&A session overall. After the Q&Awesome a game of Bingo was taking place in the Ovation Theater. Bingo card sales were taking place on the edges of the Ovation Theater while the Q&Awesome session was going. This was going to be the final bingo session of the cruise. After the Q&Awesome in the Ovation Theater I went by the Limelight Lounge to see karaoke. Unfortunately, the lounge was so packed I was unable to find a seat. Many people were standing across the back of the lounge. I listened from outside the Limelight Lounge for a few minutes before deciding to walk around the ship. At some point in the afternoon I stopped by the room and stepped out on my balcony. Below are some pictures from my balcony: In the middle of the afternoon I also stepped outside to look out from the front of Deck 9. Below are some pictures from the front of the ship: Last Dinner In The Sapphire Dining Room: Tonight was our last dinner in the Sapphire Dining Room. At 5:22pm, the Carnival Hub App began allowing check-in for dinner. We checked in on the Carnival Hub App and within minutes were assigned a table. When the doors to the dining room opened we were taken to the assigned table. We were at the same table as the other nights of the cruise. Once again our waitstaff remembered our names and drink orders. For tonight's dinner I ate the Marinated Chicken Tenders and Caesar Salad for an appetizer. For my main course I had the Enchiladas. I liked the enchiladas last time on the Carnival Breeze, but this cruise the enchiladas were even better!! On this cruise the enchiladas were sitting in some sort of green sauce that tasted good. For dessert, I had Baked Alaska.

At some point in the morning I walked outside to the front of deck 9 as well as walked outside on Deck 5. Below are some pictures: Last Lunch In The Lido Marketplace: Today was our last sea day, which meant it was also our last lunch onboard the Carnival Breeze for this cruise. Our options for the final lunch of the cruise were as follows: Seafood Shack - The Seafood Shack is located at the back of the lido buffet by the aft pool. This venue costs extra and was open from 11:00am until 5:00pm for lunch and was also open for dinner from 5:00pm until 10:00pm. Blue Iguana Cantina - 12:00pm - 2:30pm Bonsai Sushi - This dining option is located on Deck 5 and costs extra. Bonsai Sushi serves a variety of different sushi related dishes. For lunch, this venue was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm. Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse (BBQ) - This dining venue is located on the Lanai on Deck 5 and is complimentary. A variety of BBQ options are served here. The Carnival Breeze's BBQ line was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm. Pasta Bar - The pasta bar offers guests the ability to create a customized bowl of pasta. Essentially, guests fill out a paper form that gives options of what can be put in a pasta bowl. The form is turned into a hostess and a crew member makes the bowl of pasta. Caesar salads and garlic bread are also available. This venue was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm. Guy's Burger Joint - 12:00pm - 6:00pm The deli was open for lunch, but was also available for dinner (it closed at 11pm). I ate in the Lido Marketplace again for lunch today. I first went through the buffet line. Several of the items on the salad bar & hot foods section were good. I really enjoyed the food. For dessert Key Lime Pie was being served. This is still one of my favorite Lido desserts. I also had a slice of Cookies & Cream Mint Cake, which was delicious. Below are some pictures of the Lido Marketplace main buffet line:

After breakfast I walked outside and went up to Deck 11. The sun had completely risen and the water color had changed to a nice blue. Our final sea day's weather was nice with the exception of rain in the distance in the early evening. While I was outside I walked up to Deck 15. From the entrance of the Serenity Adults Only Retreat I was able to see people already using the deck chairs even though it was shortly past 8am. The Carnival WaterWorks entrance was closed as the WaterWorks slides did not open until later in the morning. The Wave Morning Show: The Wave Morning Show was scheduled for 9:00am in the Ovation Theater or on the Carnival Breeze's stateroom TVs. The show this morning was hosted once again by our cruise director, Jasper, and Fun Squad member Chrissy. The show consisted of information about events taking place on the ship during our last sea day and onboard shopping. Attendance was down significantly compared to the first sea day's morning show. However, by the end of the show attendance began to increase as guests arrived for the Towel Animal Folding class which was taking place at 9:30am in the Ovation Theater. Platinum & Diamond Complimentary Brunch Drink: Prior to the cruise we were notified that one of our benefits was a complimentary brunch drink. The drink was on our onboard account as no coupon was sent to our room like the pre-covid days. The coupon states the drink should be redeemed in the dining room for breakfast or Sea Day Brunch. I asked the atrium bar crew member if I could redeem the coupon at the atrium bar. She said yes and checked to make sure we had a free drink loaded onto our Sail & Sign account. I did not want to get a drink that would make me more stuffed than I already was. I decided to get a fruit punch Gatorade with my drink coupon. I stayed in the atrium to drink my Gatorade and sat through the second half of Carnival's 50th Anniversary trivia. I probably could have won if I would have played, but since I was late I did not join in. In the morning our stateroom came by to clean the room. He left a towel heart and a farewell card that reminded us to leave the stateroom by 8am.

When I was done walking around the interior of the ship, I went back up to the Lido Deck. It was not yet time for breakfast so I walked around the Lido Main Pool area to make more pictures of the towel animals in the deck chairs. Other guests were out taking pictures as well so I tried to get pictures that did have any other guests in them. While outside I went up to Deck 11 and walked to the back of the ship. At the back of Deck 11 I was able to see the sunrise. The sunrise was more of a red color compared to the yellow-orange that I saw earlier in the morning. When breakfast time approached I went back down to the Lido Deck (10). I walked by the Seafood Shack, which was not yet open for the day. Breakfast In The Lido Marketplace: For today's breakfast I ate in the Lido Marketplace again. The Carnival Breeze's continental breakfast buffet line was open from 6:30am until 10:30am. The main Lido breakfast buffet lines were open from 7:30am until 10:30am, but one line stayed open from 10:30am until 12:00pm for late risers. Sea Day Brunch was taking place in the Blush Dining Room (aft dining room) from 8:30am until 12pm. Carnival was not serving bacon or french toast on this day of the cruise. I walked down from Deck 5 to Deck 4. I saw the upper level of the Blush Restaurant was open so I walked inside. The bottom level was setup for the Sea Day Brunch. The upper level (back section) was setup for tea-time that was taking place later in the afternoon. I planned on attending tea-time, but again was stuffed from eating desserts at lunch. When Carnival serves key lime pie on the buffet I cannot resist For my walk around Deck 4 I went from the very back of the deck to the front. I passed by Club 02 and Circle C. The Deck 4 interior promenade hallway is home to the Carnival Breeze's Art Gallery. However, art is constantly being moved for the shows on sea days so the art gallery portion of the hallway has many bare spots for paintings. Typically, the Liquid Nightclub was used for the art shows on the sea days. From Deck 4 I went down to the atrium lobby on Deck 3. The Guest Services desk was open and only had 1 guest in line. Later in the morning the line was extremely long. I guess people needed to take care of things before the last day of the cruise.

Day 4 Sunday, September 25, 2022 Sea Day Early Morning Walk - Towel Animals By The Lido Pool I woke up around 6:00am after not sleeping great. By 6:20am I was out of my stateroom and ready to walk around the Carnival Breeze. For today's morning walk I decided to start outside by the Lido main pool. When I got up to the Lido Deck's main pool area I saw housekeeping left towel animals by the pool and in most deck chairs. A towel animal folding class was taking place later in the morning for guests that were interested. It was still dark outside and there were no other guests taking pictures yet. I was able to get some pictures of the towel animals in the dark, but decided to come back before breakfast to take additional pictures. Below are some pictures of the Lido Deck Main Pool and surrounded deck chairs: When I was finished walking around the Lido main pool area I went to the front stairwell and walked down to Deck 5. My first stop was the Ovation Theater's Deck 5 level. I would later be in the Ovation Theater for The Wave (live morning show). My plan was to walk from the front to the back of Deck 5. The shops on Deck 5 were closed at this time of the morning, but would be open later in the morning until the late evening. Today was the last day for guests to make any purchases before the cruise was over as the shops are not open when the ship docks in Galveston on the last morning. Along the Carnival Breeze's Promenade deck is a large screen that displays the ship's location, speed, wind speed/direction, & more. The information displayed on this screen is also available on stateroom TV's. While on deck 5 I stepped outside to see the sunrise from the back of the Lanai. When I went inside I walked through the Limelight Lounge. As I finished up my walk around Deck 5, on my way to the stairwell I took some a couple of pictures of Piano Bar 88.

Dinner Alternatives For Guests Not Eating In The Main Dining Room:According to the What's Happening flyer there were a variety of options for guests that were not eating in the main dining room at dinner. Below are some of the options available: Seafood Shack (Costs Extra) - 5pm until 10pm Bonsai Sushi (Costs Extra) - 5pm until 12am Cucina Del Capitano (Costs Extra & Reservation Required) - 5:30pm until 9:30pm Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse (Costs Extra & Reservation Required) - 5:30pm until 9:30pm Lido Marketplace - The time was not listed in the What's Happening, but I do know the Lido Marketplace was open for dinner. Pizza Pirate - open for lunch & dinner from 10am until 4am. The Pizza Plus menu is served from 11:30pm until 1:00am. Deli - 11am - 11pm Chips & Salsa at the Blue Iguana Cantina - 10:15pm until 11:00pm Deal or No Deal: At 7:30pm in the Ovation Theater was Deal or No Deal. This gameshow was based on the popular TV show. Guests were able to enter to play by purchasing cards starting a few hours in advance of the game-show starting. Game cards were sold at 6:30pm and had to be purchased early because when it is time for the game show it is too late to buy a gamecard. Two rounds were played with two different contestants. Deal or No Deal lasted about 45 minutes in total. The show was hosted by our cruise director, Jasper. The Ovation Theater was packed for the Deal or No Deal gameshow. After watching Deal or No Deal I went outside on Deck 5 to walk around the Lanai. I was able to spot the Carnival Ecstasy in the distance. I tried with my digital camera and cell phone to get a picture of it at night, but due to the distance and lack of lighting was unable to get a good picture.

Your-Time Dining Dinner in the Sapphire Dining Room: Once again I had dinner in the Sapphire Dining Room at 5:30pm for Your-Time Dining Room. The doors for the dining room opened promptly at 5:30pm and within minutes I was seated. The waitstaff remembered our names and drink orders. The bread choices for the evening's dinner were ciabatta and petite sourdough. Both were very good! My appetizers were Shrimp Cocktail and Caesar Salad. For my main course I got the Grilled Salmon. This was the first time I have ever eaten salmon and I thought it was good. I will definitely eat this again! Our waiter brought an extra main course of Lasagna Bolognese that he had grabbed an extra accidentally. We each tried the dish. The last time I had this as a main course was on the Carnival Elation in 2012 and after taking a bite on this cruise I was reminded why I did not get the dish again. I prefer lasagna that has a lot of sauce, but this lasagna had too much meat. It was a nice gesture for our waiter to share this extra dish, but I prefer to eat other things! Dessert was an interesting experience. Somehow in Carnival's system it showed our table was celebrating a birthday. Our headwaiter brought a praline cake that had "Happy Birthday" written on the side. He sang "Happy Birthday" even though we told him it was not our birthdays. I think he enjoyed singing it anyway which was nice of him! The Praline Cake was actually really good. I had ordered apple pie for dessert, which was also good. I will consider getting the Praline Cake on my next cruise. Later in the evening I saw the Praline Cake was on the Lido Marketplace's dinner dessert buffet line.

After a while of walking around I decided it was time to head down to the ship's lower decks. I stepped outside onto the Lanai on Deck 5. Below are a few pictures. I took many more, but due to space in this review I have decided to condense the pictures to only three. After walking outside for a while I went inside and decided to walk on Deck 4. I stopped at the Club 02 youth program lounge to take some pictures. Club 02 is the youth program for 15-17 year olds. Since the ship was docked in port no organized games or activities were taking place at this time, but I think some events for the teenagers were scheduled for the evening. Below are pictures of the Club 02 youth program lounge: The Circle C youth program lounge is located next door to the Club 02 lounge on Deck 4. Circle C is for 12-14 year olds. At this time there were not activities taking place in the Circle C lounge, but there were activities scheduled for later in the day. When I opened the door to Circle C a crew member was inside and I think got annoyed with me for coming in. Our sail-a-way from Cozumel was at 5:00pm. I did not plan on watching outside because of our departure being so close to dinner. I stepped outside at the front of Deck 6 to take some pictures. Guests were asked to be back onboard by 4:30pm. I was outside at 4:30pm and guests continued to walk down the pier. The ship departed Cozumel shortly after 5:00pm. I heard some other guests talking about how we left people behind in Cozumel, but I do not know this first-hand.
