We are also going on the Indy, ours is this November with our kids 13 & 8. We did her sister ship The Liberty Of The Seas 2 years ago with the kids and everyone had a blast...granted they were 6 & 11 at the time. However they are both extremely excited to be going this November and I cannot wait for some adult time while they are in the kids clubs!

Exactly!!! I'm in Orlando, and the only ports we do same day are TAmpa and Orlando. FLL is four hours away. I NEVER risk it. I would be way too stressed out to fly same day, we've had disasters both times we did so.
I hope Delta compensates any pax that were put out by this delay. I'm sure we will unfortunately hear about interrupted vacation plans.... missing the ship is a huge dissapointment:mad:
We do the exact same thing, we are in Pinellas across the bay from Tampa. If its Tampa or Port Canaveral we will do same day as we can find back road/ alternative routes if need be. But down to Fort Lauderdale etc its 4 hrs+ for us also and I would be a nervous wreck. We typically leave after rush hour the night before. We may get there late but we can sleep til 9, get up have breakfast and be at the port without any worries.

Park N Go...we used them for a cruise during Thanksgiving week, super busy time but they had it all "down to a science". Got us to the port quickly and dropped us off right next to our car when we returned. Plan on using them again this November.

We have stayed in 1400/1700 on Liberty previously. In these cabins the pull out sofa was closest to the balcony (however these cabins are wider then the other aft cabins so set up may be different). We occasionally heard noise from the Windjammer above but typically it was mid day when the workers were cleaning floors etc. and it really wasn't that loud.
Under 200 days til my next corner aft cabin on the Indy and I cant wait :D

Double periscopes on this trip, should be fun!:)
Thanks for doing this Kat...having fun watching Bugsys periscopes on Oasis right now...
Double periscopes?? Who else will be periscoping on this one?
Enjoy!

You have yourself an awesome cabin!
My family of 4 had that cabin for a 5 night cruise during Thanksgiving week in 2014. Plenty of space...Even hung a hammock on the oversized balcony!
Loved it so much we booked the same room on Indy for this Thanksgiving week (returns Thanksgiving morning) and friends of ours snagged the matching one on the opposite side.
You'll love it!

Thanks for the review...we are sailing on Indy in November, snagged a coveted aft corner for our family of 4.
We were on her sister ship Liberty 2 years ago...so loving all the pics from the different areas.

Spring break here in the St Pete/Tampa area next year is scheduled for March 13-20th...I find that the majority of Florida schools are off within either the week before and or after this week. So I would steer clear of March for sure!

Decks 11, 12, and 14. Just head aft in the passenger corridor.
I keep finding different info on this...
Do the secret aft public balconies still exist on the Oasis? The same decks?
Thanks in advance for the responses....

I'm still waiting on the Fort Lauderdale/Miami Caribbean sailings to be listed....:(

Not the most recent....November 2014
Liberty of The Seas - Cabin #1700
2 loungers / 2 regular chairs and 1 table :-)
Booked same cabin on the Indy for next November (too far away!!)

How much is that 4th person? In other words, would it be worth it to you to book a fake 4th person and have them be a no show?
I was wondering if this is something you could do with the family staterooms?? They require 5 for booking and we have a family of 4...do people get away with it??
Thanks in advance...

They don't need to wait for a refit to install the machines. There were a couple of recent posts that Liberty is scheduled to get the Freestyle machines this coming week.
Leaving on her in 5 days and will be really excited if I find the machines when I get on board :-)

Does anyonw know if the LOS offers the "couples rasul" at the spa on board? I cannot find anything recent on this. When I pull up the specific boat and look under the spa it states
*Relaxation rituals
Experience the Thermal Suite, with heated beds, showers, and a collection of exotic steam vapors throughout. Or try Rasul, an Arabian cleansing ritual of chakra muds and aromatherapy.*
It does not give an option to reserve like the other services listed do:confused:
Any info would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks!

Dolphinarus is between the south piers and town. You could walk from Dolphinarus to town or take a cab for a few bucks. I would recommend taking a taxi back to the ship (if you are at one of the south piers) as it can be along walk after a full day on the island. (and hot). Taxis are relatively inexpensive, so why not catch a cab. They are plentiful and easy to get. Be sure to have small bills for the cab drivers as they rarely have "change". :)
Thank you for such great info and map...that sounds like a great plan!

Thanks for all the responses...it is certainly a little pricey, but now I know what to expect and can decide if I want to splurge on a game or two:cool:

So I know last cruise I passed on bingo although I dont recall the cost, I know it was more than I wanted to pay...but was curious if any recent cruisers recall the current rate to play? I know my girls would like to play on our upcoming cruise...
Thanks!

Walk around town, grab some lunch, shop at all the little stores. Give the kids a small budget to pick out a souvenir, then help them with the bargaining process. They may have a blast trying to get that marionette or set of maracas for $1. Shop owners are generally really sweet to kids in town.
There's lots of fun places to listen to music and have a drink and some snacks. Very safe and tourist friendly.
Shopping is right up my alley?...lol. Where is this "town" area...is it back near the ship? Just figuring out about taxi etc. from Dolphinaris....thank you!

You could always take a trip to Busch Gardens. I would use Uber or a taxi, its about a 20 minute ride from cruise port to the park. Then the ride from park to airport would be about 30 minutes.
