renewed online and process started Jan 11th. Was advised that it would be 6-9 wks. As of today, it's still showing in process and I'm now at 10 weeks. Anything the govt does is inefficient and slow. BTW in case anyone doesn't know, once you start the renewal process, your old passport is useless even if it's not expired yet.

I just talked to a rep at Carnival rep and he said that, no you cannot show up with a unsupervised home test that it must be proctored. I agree with everyone that testing is ridiculous at this point. I also want to add that there website information is NOT CLEAR and i did stress that to the rep.

I just saw a youtube about someone getting scammed by onpoint testing and they didn't get the service so they ended up at CVS. So now that it not an option which was cheaper. Insurance does not cover testing for travel so that is $$$ out of our pockets. I just think it's ridiculous to even test for vaccinated guest for a 6 day cruise leaving 9/4 when the testing guidelines change on 9/6. There is no rhyme or reason to choose a random date of 9/6 to make a switch knowing full well that you have all these cruises heading out labor day weekend for their 6 or 7 day cruise.

It's just irritating to even have a future date. I'm leaving Sept 4th for 6 day, so really really disappointed that we have to test. Just say effective immediately. GEEZ, OH WELL CARNIVAL, that's less money I can spend on YOUR boat. Not only to be stressed out to test before labor day weekend! thanks
