  1. I just got off the Royal Princess this morning and love the iPads for bingo. We have used them the past 3 years on different cruise lines. On our cruise last week, there was a good mix of people winning on paper and iPads. $59 is a lot cheaper than Royal Caribbean for their bingo iPads. I actually won four games throughout our cruise. I never win, so it was a nice surprise. I agree the last session is the worst. So many people show up trying to win the final bingo. In our last game yesterday, there were 3 or 4 bingo winners on every game.
  2. Thank you for posting. We sail next Saturday when you return. I am looking forward to your post and insight. I did buy my fit bit watchbands from Amazon like the previous post. I paid $9.99 for a pack of 3 red, black, and blue.
  3. On the Mexican Rivera forums, there are several post that you can get a great massage in Cabo for $33-35 dollars.
  4. I sailed a couple of Spring Breaks and never had an issue with wild kids or college students.
  5. My daughter and her husband are on the Regal right now and love the apps. They have nothing but praise for Ocean Ready and Ocean Now apps. They have had no issues and love the options available.
  6. There are some great places to visit in LA for the day - museums, Hollywood, beach, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Beverly Hills. I agree to rent a car for the day.
  7. We always stay at the Embassy Suites. It's close and you get a nice breakfast and comfortable rooms.
  8. Thank you for the nice comments. I actually work for Clark County FD. We are a little bigger and protect the Las Vegas strip, airport and a large part of the Las Vegas area. Most of the Las Vegas area is actually county and not in the city.
  9. We have been fortunate that he has never had a severe reaction. I have been able to stop all of his reactions with Benedryl and never had to use his epi pen. I personally have had two full anaphylatic reactions to allergy shots and was stuck with epi and Benedryl both times. I try to be very aggressive in treating my son, so he never has to go through what I experienced. If you have any other photos, he would be excited to see what he could possible get on our next cruise. Thank you
  10. My son unfortunately has food allergies to all diary and all nuts. We took him on his first cruise in March 2016 on the Regal and our head waiter and the pastry chef took very good care of him. Princess by far has been the best for making him feel special and not left out because of his food allergies. Every night they made him a special dessert. We are hoping for the same treatment on the Royal in April.
  11. Thank you for the pictures. My son likes what you got on your cruise.
  12. I enjoy playing bingo on the ship. I live in Las Vegas and rarely gamble here. I have won on the ship before and will not spend the money and gamble in the casino or bingo if I cannot afford to lose the money. You will be making yourself miserable if you cannot afford to play. I do it to relax and have a good time with my kids. Bingo on Princess is a lot cheaper than Royal Caribbean ships. If you like to play bingo, go play and enjoy yourself.
  13. I have sailed on the Regal and loved the ship. We were in a mini-suite and I prefer a mini-suite over a balcony. The mini-suite has a bigger cabin with 2 tv’s and a lot bigger bathroom. The balconies on all royal class ships are smaller from I have read. We got a great deal on two connecting balcony rooms on the Royal in April, so we are going to try these cabins. With all that information, if your upgrade is on deck 15, I would have to really think about it because I heard these cabins can have a lot of noise from the crew cleaning up the pool at night and early mornings. Just out other post on Regal deck 15 cabin noise.
  14. There is a place when you sign into your booking online, to send a Princess the information about food allergies. They will email with the directions to follow one you are onboard others have mentioned above. Because they knew about my son’s allergies, we probably could have eaten one night somewhere else and they would have brought his special desert there. Scott
  15. My son has food allergies to all diary and nuts. When we sailed on the Regal Princess in March 2016, the Pastry Chef made him a special desert every night. One night they made him a chocolate cake. We have sailed on Royal Carrribean twice and Disney once since sailing on 5he Regal and Princess has by far made him the best deserts and treated him to the best deserts.
  16. I took my kids on the Regal for spring break 3 years ago and they loved it. It was not overcrowded and my boys made some great friends. Princess limits the number of kids on each ship. On the West Coast our spring break this year is not until April 13th, so I think you will have a good chance it will not be overcrowded. We had such a great time 3 years ago, we are taking the Royal Princess Spring break cruise out of LA this year.
  17. I believe they would. I returned a car in Port Canaveral this summer and the car rental shuttle was going to take too long, so I order Uber. They picked us up by the street and took us to the cruise terminal. I hope this helps.
  18. They offered both paper and electronic on the Royal’s sister ship the Regal when we sailed on her.
  19. We used lanyards when we were on the Regal two years ago. They just have to be punched in the correct location. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  20. I have a son with food allergies to all diary and nuts. Princess has been the best cruise line for offering him a variety of choices to eat. He loves their gluten free breads. As others have written, make sure you contact Princess ASAP and put it in your personalizer. Make sure you talk to the MaitreD and head waiter. I even called Princess two days before our first cruise with him, when we sailed on the Regal in 2016 to ask a couple of questions while we were shopping at Wholefoods for him. The special dietary rep was awesome answering my questions. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  21. I have upgraded at the pier a couple of times. When we want to upgrade, we make sure we arrive early between 9:30-10 and get near the front of the line. When we get to the counter we ask to upgrade and are sent to a supervisor. I am sure there are several post here on cc discussing strategies for upgrading at the pier. Sent from my iPad using Forums
  22. I was booked on the Caribbean Princess last June and cancelled my booking and went on the Oasis of the Seas because of the problems on the CP. They changed the original ports we wanted to visit and moved all the ports closer together. They were definitely overpriced for what they were offering with all the problems CP is having.
