Tell me about it ,I used to get grief growing up simply because my family had a Scottish background and I was singled out by my piers for it . It seemed anything that was not like them were fair game in those days and that's the problem, for some we/you do not fit into their perfect world . Whatever that is ? 🙃

My take on this is ,your walking along when you see an elderly lady who has a toddler with them who runs into a duck pond . Horrified she screams at you to help , problem is you cannot swim ,but you see two guys walking by . Do you now shout them to help ? They get the child out quick as a flash . What do you do next ? Take note of their skin colour, sexual orientation and which footie team they support or their nationality .Or just say thanks to a fellow human being who helped out . Anyone know of anyone who would say they don't like any of Elton Johns music because he got married to another man ? No one is perfect ,you will find good and bad in all walks of life but until that person does you harm just accept they are just another human who one day could help you .

If at all possible I'm sure your captain will avoid if possible . I remember a few years back on the Azura doing a TA , capt Camby telling us " We have a storm chasing us and we are hoping to outrun it to the Azores ." On leaving the Azores, he told us " The good news is we have let the storm ,which is now named storm Katie pass and will follow it back home to the UK." Once we got back home all was calm apart from a neighbour wanting part of his greenhouse back out of our garden . 🙂

The latest I have been told is it was a fresh water pipe that burst on deck 11 which affected a few cabins . Nothing to do with pools or grey water .

I used them in the past ,you get a minibus transfer provided but be aware of T&C's I got caught out with this ,so now use hotels with parking that let me cancel if need be 24 hrs before departure . Apart from this I found them ok . If you decide to cancel within 14 days of making the booking, we charge an administration fee of £20.00 that will be deducted fromthe amount you have paid. However, there are no refunds for cancellations made after that time or if your date of departure is within14 days.

That was my first thought and wondered the same .

I am a member of Trust Pilot and just did a fleeting glance at the overall scores of some cruise companies . TUI cruises 1.9 poor . . . Princess cruise 1.6 poor ... H & A Line 2.0 poor and P&O cruisers 1.6 bad . From what I'm reading if you want a nice time at sea then go P&O Ferries 3.9 rated great ! As you have pointed out , looking at the above most who have a complaint will fill in a review more than someone who enjoyed their cruise and simply moved onto booking the next one .

You can on some cruisers but it comes off your OBC . Some I have seen were offering £500 OBC and if you selected parking you got £350 and your parking .

Cheers ,I omitted a few words out . At this point I must point out that no dogs were eaten or harmed in anyway during my childhood as far as I know 🥴

The times I was sent to our village butchers to buy something like pigs liver and providing you were spending in his shop , if you asked he would give you some bones for the dog . These days the dogs don't get a look, when it comes to a marrowbone as these too are classed as a tasty meal in some places you can eat out .

Seems to be a lot of different views ,even keeping the cost out of it . One reading how much todays dining is better than 40 years ago and one from 25 years ago who thinks it is in decline. We all take away our memories and that's all they are ours and they are as valid as the next persons . As for the cabins (all jokes apart) ,we set off just over 12 years ago ,using an inside cabin, sleeping on two beds configured in an L shape . We thought we had got the world even though it felt like we were in a 4 berth caravan . What drew us into cruising was the warmth and togetherness of the people we met . To be honest fine dining is not our thing but we loved the MDR and using the buffet for those late night suppers ,they were amazing .We would chat about it in the MDR the very next day and they would tell us about their fine dining night . Just people from all walks of life ,having a good time . These days we have moved on and use the balcony cabin with a queen bed and only a few years ago we would order 2 bottles of Southern comfort ,a few lemonade and a dozen bottles of Becks (to keep the share holders happy 😆) and that was before hitting the bars at night. Them were the days . These days due to medical issues ,there will be non of that ,apart from a lemonade . Next time we do step onboard a ship ,we will be happy to chat with people from all types of cabins , if it's their first cruise or their 1000th. The ships may change but hopefully not the people you get to meet .

Morning hope your all well today. For some reason I woke up at 1am and because of the clocks changing it was 2am before I knew it . It was at that moment I thought to myself " Times are changing " but I wasnt prepared to lose any sleep over it and nodded off again . Now I'm up and about I will go and change the clocks that do not change themselves, like the oven clock and another wall clock and sit back knowing all are showing the correct time . That's until I step into our car and I think I will do it later, which is sometime like August bank holiday knowing me . I used to love the Monday morning when you would have at least one person come into work and look shocked when you told them they were an hour late ! Time fly's when your having fun enjoy your day !

I have been informed that one of the pools piping had sprung a leak yesterday and has caused some nasty flooding reportedly on B deck 11 . This has caused some cabins to be out of service. The ship is in Miami and I was asked if anyone on Cruise Critic has any info ?

I'm sure you will have an enjoyable time with both ! 😋🥧🙂
