Hi - Any other LGBT'ers on the Volendam from January 6-20 ex-Singapore? Hoping not to be the only gay in the village...
-
Next cruise is Azamara Journey in August from Southampton to Lisbon, sailing via Guernsey, Bordeaux, St Jean de Luz, San Sebastian, Bilbao and Porto.
-
I agree with Peter - it was a very good time. It was a really nice group of gentlemen, and I would look forward to meeting again.
Happy sailing to all.

Boom chica mow wow? As Berlusconi would say, bunga bunga!

I will be there. My friends Alan and Noel may be there as well.
Note to Howard (HLR) - also single here, so you're not the only one. :)

6 PM - 8 PM sounds great then. Let's be sure the info is posted on the other board. Peter - thank you for the name tags - I can be terrible trying to remember names, especially so many at once!

Hi Attila - Thank you - glad to help out, I think there are lots of cool people on this board who will be great to meet!

Hi Dana and Sharine -
Your wedding photos are so lovely! You both look so happy in the pictures. I can't think of a better place to get married than a ship.
I hope to meet you on the 20th - it will be great to hear your story in person.:)

Saw some support for Uncle Charlie's, so let's go there - it's gay, in Midtown, very close to Grand Central and the theater district, and has lots of space.
Uncle Charlie's - 139 East 45th Street (north side of street between Lex and 3rd, 2nd floor)
It's been mostly men on here, but want to emphasize it's LGBT, and bring your LGBT-friendly cruisemates as well!
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Apologies for delay in responding - am in Chicago on business. Chuck and Scott - thank you for your original offer - that was very gracious - I will look forward to meeting you two.
I had suggested the date of April 20 originally. I posted on the roll call suggestions of Lily's at the Roger Smith on Lex bet 47 and 48, Therapy (upstairs - that was a good suggestion by someone) or Uncle Charlie's.
Thoughts?

I have a friend who is F&B Director of a hotel near Grand Central - their bar (which is actually pretty cool and moderately priced) has a quieter room in the back we could possibly use - I can ask her.
-
I'm in as well - can spread the word to a couple of friends.
How about Friday, April 20 from 5 PM to 8 PM? Perhaps somewhere in Hells Kitchen to make it convenient for Penn Station and Port Authority, and not too far from Grand Central?

Chez Josephine is still open on West 42nd - and still getting good reviews in Zagat, as well. Hope you two have fun here this summer. The QM2 is a wonderful ship.

Hi - Thank you for starting the thread.
Manhattan here (East Side, thus the name). Did a QE2 crossing decades ago coming home from studying in Europe - there used to be youth fares that were cheaper than airfare (OK, I'm dating myself as almost 50 here). Recently have done a 5-day QM2 Halifax/Boston cruise (loved it) and a 2-week Celebrity cruise (liked it much less). This August going on an 11-day European cruise along the Atlantic coast on Azamara.
Have not done a gay cruise (at least not on water), so cannot comment. However, there was a Pied Piper group on the QM2, and met some very nice people from the group.
Great to see other people in the Tri-State area here - hopefully, we'll get to sail together one day!
Happy cruises to all.
