Thank you for that information. I was intending to use it to communicate with family through texting, since we have so many sea days.

My husband and I will be on a South America/Antarctica cruise next month. We have a package that includes $400pp OBC plus $250 in Carnival stock credit, prepaid gratuities, and 2 nights of specialty dining. We have booked independent excursions, so I won't be doing Holland excursions. So, I was wondering how to use my OBC. We're really not interested in spa treatments. I was considering purchasing a WiFi package with the onboard credit. Does anyone have experience with WiFi on a South America Cruise? Does it work well?

I will be in Punta del Este on Holland America in February. I would like to have some suggestions on what to do at the port. My husband and I are comfortable with exploring on our own. Is that doable at this port?
