  1. I can't disagree with the concern. Pinnacles are making out on this deal. Conversely, Elite and Elite plus taking a Royal cruise are gaining FAR more than a Diamond or Diamond plus taking an X trip.
  2. WOW!! I just popped over to the X boards and the thread there on this topic. It's not a happy bunch AT ALL
  3. Both options are workable, it just depends if you want to deal with the logging in and out
  4. Without question the costs are different. How that translates to onboard pricing; I can not speak to
  5. I would imagine the variation in prices has to do with the cost associated with suppliers in differing countries.
  6. “Still a way”? There was never a way unless your cabin mate is your significant other or your minor child
  7. I have not received any communications, but my Status on X just automatically upgraded from Elite to Elite plus
  8. We used our phone to unlock the stateroom door on Odyssey in March (as well as control the lighting and curtains) I believe (just opinion) that the fact one had to turn over their WOW band to a roaming waiter, was one of the major downfalls of the system and why it never caught on as Royal hoped it would. The failure by the cruise-line to invest in RFID reader POS handhelds doomed the program. Although I have never sailed Princess; their Medallion program seems to have set the benchmark for cruise wearables.
  9. So, in your opinion, is it acceptable for this very reasonable request (remove the spare linens) to be denied?
  10. Just set up a cash account and be done with it. One charge at the end of the cruise, no holds no pre authorization
  11. I used luggage Valet fro Port Everglades in March, loved it, worked great. We had an American Airlines flight departing @ 1115. We don't pay luggage fees, and Royal was even able to make sure there were no charges incurred.
  12. That kind of work is beyond the scope of a 6 week dry dock, no concerns there
  13. After day 2 Bionic Bar is not popular
  14. Or in studio cabins at any point level, albeit those cabins are not plentiful
  15. I would imagine they would, they did when oasis was amped
  16. it's an interesting program, but not new. Power Up Points have been around for several years
  17. waves in the ocean quickly negate the minuscule amount of extra buoancy
  18. Nearly impossible to spot a person overboard, without a flotation device, regardless of the amount of daylight
  19. You can change names up to 72 hours prior to embarkation, happens all the time
  20. The customer service number is 24/7 if you hit the option to book a new cruise. They always take those calls
