  1. Where about Reykjavik is this place? That sound interesting? Cheers Len
  2. Thanks, but no thanks. LOL I'll stick to regular fish. Cheers Len
  3. You mentioned these 3 taxi services, ---- is one perforable over the other? Are they private taxi services or just what you would see on the street. We asked at our hotel if they would reserve us a taxi and they responded that they could at a cost of about $75 (I forgot what the Kroner amount was). As I mentioned we are staying in the Nyhavn section, so is that about a right price, or would I do better just finding one at the airport? Cheers Len
  4. That is exactly what we want. Thanks Cheers Len
  5. WE did some research and found a wonderful walking tour via Toms Port Guides. If you have never used Tom's guides, they are, without a doubt, the best reference for things to do in so many ports. TOMS PORT GUIDES - Toms Port Guides, Mediterranean | SAVE MONEY on cruise port shore excursions Cheers Len
  6. Thanks, we have made appointments for our test at this place. Cheers Len
  7. We are visiting Nuuk and Qaqortoq in a few weeks and except for a few boat tours run by locals, we really haven't found much else to do except tour on your own. The boat tours are small and were dilled up before we even booked the cruise. From what I understand our ship has opened up a couple of tours in Nuuk, but there are hugely expensive and really not to our liking. Cheers Len
  8. Thanks everyone for the wonderful suggestions. WE ARE fish eaters and LOVE Salmon and Cod, so we should have no trouble enjoying our meals. Is Ice Cream a big favorite in these countries? My DW has to have her ice cream 'fix' most days. Any specialty flavors? Cheers Len
  9. A much more important topic FOOD As I ahve said, we are visiting Denmark Norway Greenland Iceland When we travel we always try to, at least, sample some of the 'local' food to really get a flavor of where we are. We have been to Copenhagen before, but only on a cruise day, now we will be spending 3 nights there. Last time we had the most delicious chocolate eclair from a local bakery shop. We still remember it. So from some of the experts what should we try while in Denmark, Norway, Greenland and Iceland? Our only negative thing is we do not eat meat but do eat seafood. Any ideas and suggestions would be most appreciated, be it regular food, sweets, even quick snacks. (We will be in Tivoli Gardens for one day, anything in particular we should try there (food wise)? Cheers Len
  10. We are staying at a hotel Wake Up Copenhagen-Borgergade--Borgergade 9, Copenhagen 1300. From what I saw on the map it is in the Nyhavn area. So which testing site would be the best to go to and about how far--walking distance? Cheers Len
  11. Thanks. I went to this site and it gives me maybe 10 regions, all of which I do not understand. We are staying around the Nyhavn section in Copenhagen, which one would I go to? Cheers Len
  12. We are doing a B2B cruise in a couple of weeks, but we are in different staterooms for each leg. Do we need to print new luggage tags for the second leg? Cheers Len
  13. We are boarding a cruise ship on Aug 28, 2022 and according to RCCL, we need proof of a negative test for Covid in order to board. We are basically IT negative, as most people we have spoken to are doing these tests online. We would very much like to do it in person, but I was told that most testing sites have closed, except for one at the airport. I was told that there is one still open, somewhere maybe around the Nyhavn section, or around City Hall? Is this true as we are staying in the Nyhavn section and would love to be able to sue this location for our pre cruise test. Any info on this would be so appreciated. Cheers Len
  14. Thank you, I just sent them an email. Do you have any suggestions for Kristiansand? In fact, we will there twice. We are doing a B2B cruise, and each cruise Kristiansand stops there. Any info or suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers Len
  15. I opened the link to the Culture Tour and went to their web site. It does look interesting and something we might like to explore. Is the meeting place far from where our ship docks. We don't mind walking a bit. I also saw a mention of an 'open market' and again, that would be something my wife would really like to see. Where is this in relation to where the walking tour starts, or in relation to where the ship docks? Cheers Len
  16. As I mentioned in another post, we are on the RCCL Voyager doing several other ports besides Oslo. Can anyone give me some info on Kristiansand (we will be in port from 8-5) Skagen (port from 8-5) Aarhus (port from 8-5) What might be the best things to see or do in any or all of these ports. We are seniors, can walk about fairly well, but we aren't into real adventure type things. I am an avid amateur photographer, so I love scenery and really old-world type of things. Any suggestions of walking tours, or what we really should see would be so helpful. Cheers Len
  17. We are arriving In Oslo on the RCCL Voyager on Aug 29-30 (Monday and Tuesday). From what I understand we are docking at a berth that is a bit further away from the main part of town. That is OK, as we love to walk and wander about. Is there a place, at the dock, where we can get a map, or do we have to get to the visitors center to get one? Since we really have no plans per se, we were thinking of just doing the HoHo bus, at least for one day. Does this get you to most of what one would want to see in Oslo? We read somewhere that there is a free walking tour that is offered most days (tipping is advised. Do you know anything of this, and where would it be offered? We were also thinking of doing this Oslo Fiord cruise. Does this make much sense if we are already arriving via cruise ship and departing the same way? Thanks for all help. Cheers Len
  18. We are arriving in Copenhagen on Aug 25 and our hotel in in the Nyhavn area. We are two seniors with a couple of large suitcases, what is the best way to get from the airport to our hotel? Public transportation is really out of the question as we simply cannot schlepp our luggage around as I walk with a cane. Is a taxi the best bet and are they usually around at the airport? Is there like a set price for transportation like this? We would like the least expensive way, again, beside public transportation. Then we would need a ride to our ship's terminal, is this again a taxi thing? We are on the Voyager (RCCL) Aug 28, 2022, can someone tell me where exactly it leaves from? Again, thanks for any info on these questions. Cheers Len
  19. I don't know if I am in the right place for this port of call. We are looking at doing an RCCL TA that ends in Limassol, Cyprus and we were wondering how does one get home from there. I have miles with several major airlines, but none show any flights there. Is this a stop off place for another major city, or is this where you must try and fly out of? thanks for any info. Cheers Len
  20. Either log in or create an account on the R CCL web site. After that your cruise booking should show. If not, you can manually enter the booking number. Then there should be a tab for planning your crusie or something like that. If you click on that, find the option that says dining and, on clicking that, a list comes down and you click on My Time Dining. You have to have had to put this in when booking your cruise. If so, you just follow along, click on who is dining and then a menu comes up with the date and time. When you select them you go to check-out and that's about it. You have to do this for every day of your cruise and you can choose different times depending on activities of that day. That's about it. Any further questions just post them. We have made reservations for shows this way also, but usually it can only be done a certain period of time before your cruise, like possibly 30 days before. Cheers Len
  21. Is this a specific place or one of several around Copenhagen? Any knowledge as to where they are located in relation to say central Copenhagen like the Tivoli area? Cheers Len
  22. Thanks so much for all the replies. I guess we will be doing a test before we board. One more question, we are doing a B2B, are we required to test between cruises? Cheers Len
  23. I do apologize if this has been answered already. Is there any info, rumors whatever of RCCL dropping the pre cruise testing before boarding? We are flying to Copenhagen at the end of August and from what I've heard it is very hard to get tested there, except at the airport. It would make life so much easier if RCCL dropped the pre cruise testing, again any info on this? Cheers Len
  24. Are there walking tours in these cities? Cheers Len
