  1. Karen @Keksie + 3 , I like the colors (before and after). We have the same colors in our bath, bedroom and living room😁
  2. We've been in Dec. 2018 for one day and 2 nights, before a cruise. I was very lucky to get the cheapest room at MSB, booked more than an year ahead. It gave us access to the pool on the roof, with amazing views, mainly at night. For those who do not "live" there, the only option to see the views is the Roof Bar. I highly recommend it for an once in a life time experience. We had our roll call there, the vast majority of participants didn't "live" in the hotel. For our short stay, we enjoyed the Gardens by the Bay, at night and in the morning. I went to a mall to buy my daily Dead Sea moisturizer, which I forgot home, while DH went to take pictures of a colorful neighborhood (Emerald Hill Road). I wish we had more time to see the Botanical Gardens (always a favorite for us) and the Orchids. OTOH, the oppressive heat and the very high humidity "killed" us...
  3. @StanleyandGus He is beautiful. @Tree_skier Well said, Bonnie 👍 Judy, pls. don't forget our resident English gentleman, Graham @grapau27 😘 @ReneeFLL Renee, Lilo (the 5th element?) kindof reminds me of OB's Jade @Ocean Boy Another beauty/
  4. Thank you so much, Graham. Taking this opportunity to wish HM King Charles III a full recovery. So sad the royal family is going through a bad spell. Also to our other English friends, Sue & Gary @sgmn
  5. @HBE4 HB, you have no idea how much your kind and reassuring words, and all the others' -- too many to quote -- are encouraging and heart warming. A BIG thank you to everyone of you.
  6. @Sunshine3601 It helps a lot. That's my favorite place to be on those days - speaking of or virtually taking a cruise. Pic below, taken during our flight to Amsterdam, kind of reflects our mood. This huge blanket of dark clouds. Please, please don't feel bad. That's life and one of the main reasons I'm trying to very much limit speaking of my "tale"... Don't want to be a "party pooper" due to events beyond mine and every body's else control. Enjoy every minute of your cruise, and I'm so glad that CC "smiled" to you 😘
  7. We traveled because we really missed the grands, but our heart wasn't into it. We just couldn't "shake" from our minds what was and is happening here. We simply cannot travel and worry whether will find our home in one piece when we return, or whether there will be flights back. The "mood" is missing, even though our boys are past the "draft" stage and we don't have kidnapped people in our immediate "environment".... When the war started, our DIL's family were all in Italy (annual vacation "sponsored" by our in laws 😎), since there was a Jewish holiday / school out. They were stuck in Italy for 2 additional weeks, all the flights to Israel being cancelled, and the only airline still flying was the Israeli one, which gave priority to all those who were called back to fight. The vast majority of the pilots were immediately called for reservist duty, so the number of flights was very reduced. Only our son and his family managed to get back from Italy to Amsterdam....
  8. Thanks, Marian. I was so sorry to read you'll not be on Bella2. Was really hoping to meet you 😘. Not that right now I know what will become of us one year from now.... Marietta 💕 @Sunshine3601 +1, such an awful disease 😢
  9. Thanks, Deb. Physically we're OK. Our souls -- not so much. Dire situation..... no end in the foreseeable future to this futile war 😢.
  10. The last time we had 14 days of continuous rain was .... 1992. Usually we have a couple of days and then sunshine.
  11. So sorry for your loss, and double sorry for the last minute change of plans. Try to make limoncello 😘
  12. Only if your in laws have the same family name as your parents.... Otherwise, you'll need to cancel the room and at the same time book it again for your in laws.
  13. @Sea Dog Greg, so sorry you're not getting any respite. I really wish there was something I could help you with. @Ocean Boy + 1 OB, wishing you a very enjoyable cruise, with balmy weather and novel drinks 😉 @StanleyandGus Glad your surgery was successful. May be the headaches are following the "new balance" of hormones you're experiencing, wishing you a swift and full recovery. Enjoy your quilting, sounds very interesting. @h20skibum Mark, "Sounds like she would make a good lawyer". 😉 Agree with Greg @Sea Dog
  14. We had almost the same itinerary like Graham, and for Lisbon we used a company, appropriately named "We hate tourism tours".... Highly recommended. We made the most of our day stop in Lisbon. https://www.wehatetourismtours.com/
  15. @Sea Dog Greg, so sorry to hear that. I've noticed that you were less "active" lately, and it had me worried. Agree about the frustration of living in pain. All I can offer is my sympathy and positive thoughts crossing the Med and the Pond towards you 😘 @h20skibum Mark, I've used this company and recommended it to various CC friends along the year, all were very appreciative. Don't know about your airport, though, but I'm attaching their link, worth checking with them. Jiffy Jeff https://www.gojiffyjeff.com/services/airport-shuttle-transportation-services/
  16. I wouldn't base my decision on the overnight in Istanbul. It can be cancelled without warning, as it already happened before (The Grand Bazaar being closed on Sundays is another "deterrent" 😕). Santorini - Equinox being the only "big" ship in port would be a huge draw for me. Malta - We found it to be a very interesting stop. We took a taxi (fixed price at the port) for 2 hours to visit M'dina and back to Valetta (55 Euro). Katakolon -- we used a bus for 10 Euros pp at the port which took us to Olympia for 2-3 hours. It was enough. There is also a very interesting Technology museum 10 mins walk from the port entrance.
