If you have enough time, I'd concur the best memory would be a ferry ride over to St. John. Skip Trunk Bay and go to Cinnammon Bay - the one Kenny Chesney sang about. It will be much less crowded. FYI, I don't remember umbrellas for rent there but that wouldn't stop me - you can sit in the shade if you walk down the beach a bit. You can get something to eat there or in town where the ferry docks. Just don't miss the ferry back!

Sounds like some people are just getting lucky, as mine was taken away in December on Jewel. The issue as explained to me was that the steam can activate the smoke/fire detectors in the stateroom. So, we just had a wonderfully wrinkly cruise :)

We'll be sailing along with you on Jewel this weekend. Rain comes and goes so we'll live with it. A rainy day on Jewel of the Seas beats sitting at home in the sunny cold.

I've had a party for 20 in a suite before on embarkation day, no problem. Mine was set up by the beverage manager. Stocked (open) bar with a bartender for about 1.5 hours. Nicely done.

If you're staying at the Caribe check your bill and credit card statement carefully. Keep your receipts.

I was just off Jewel last weekend, and they had a Diamond lounge next to the Viking Crown lounge.

What is the 'suite party'? i have stayed in suites numerous times and have never been invited to a party for suite guests only.

I stayed in the Royal Suite on Enchantment on a 4 night cruise and was invited to dine with Captain Ban. I thought about it for a few seconds and ran to the phone to accept. It was a wonderful evening.
As to the concierge, I was not escorted on board by him as I was on the 2nd leg of a back to back. One of the ship's officers took us through customs and back on board. We already had enjoyed the services of the concierge on the previous cruise so he already was aware of our cabin arrangements.

We took a group of 20 to Nachi a little while back. A good time was had by all. by the end of the day some of our crew had become the bartenders...

Freedom does not stop at Labadee on the Oct 4th cruise, so no Barefoot Beach Cabana.
