That's the million dollar question. Rcl scraped building terminal 3 which was to be big enough to hold it for a year. Galveston council actually decided not to vote on if rcl could put it on hold. One ta says what choice does Galveston really have? Another ta said she called rcl about cancelling, she has groups the first 4 weeks allure will go out of Galveston and said rcl asked her to wait to cancel. So now we can speculate what that means too. Make her a offer to switch, yes they will come. I've even heard setting up tents to help get people onboard.

That's what is driving us crazy, the endless speculation. I sure wish rcl would just tell us.  Surely rcl knows? Just come out with it and tell us.

I'll take any ship tbh, but I'd like to know.

RCI hasn't "scrapped" the Terminal three construction, but just delayed it 1 year. I just listened to The Port of Galveston board meeting (live on Facebook yesterday), they mentioned that they are dredging the the canal now & that they fully expect terminals 1 &/or 2 to handle the Oasis class ships when they come. So reading between the lines...Allure WILL sail from Galveston as planned in November 2021.

I would not worry, you might want to just check your online account to make sure all your contact stuff is correct.  I am getting some of our friends emails from Royal and outside of us linking reservations a few years ago on a cruise their is no way my email address should be in their profile.   More Royal IT problems, and they even cut back staff.

Thanks... I did check my profile... but it is only for ME...and it is correct.

On any booking there is a "lead" guest which is typically the first named person on the booking.  Sometimes the lead guest gets more FCC.  It would be unusual for the the second guest to receive zero but FCC does have some unpredictability to it so I'm avoiding making absolute statements.

I am listed as the lead guest.

    THANKS for your help!

It does not matter who paid for it.  It will be split between the guests listed on the sailing.  It may be split equally or it may be split based on cruise fare.  At the end of the day it does not matter the split as Royal is moving the FCC money around on a new booking if they are out of balance

I am just concerned because MY email is listed as the contact email...and I didn't get an email... I certainly hope you are right. I simply don't want to call RC and add to their overwhelmed phone staff at this time.

    Thanks!

As long as you are both booked on the future cruise the individual FCC for each guest can be applied.

    A little different question....

My kids have a future cruise certificate that we bought them while onboard.... can they use that to book a March 2021 cruise & then apply their 125% FCC (when they get it) to that same cruise?

These type of communication gaffes are common and occurred before.  My step daughter received Royal Up emails while me, as the person who booked and paid for the cruise did not.  Typical and not something to worry about.

How FCC is distributed between guests on a reservation has always had a component of mystery involved.    You'll need to wait and see how you get yours.  All booked guests should get some, but it's not always equal.

{{{{ BIG SIGH}}}} Then I do have something to worry about. Ugggg. I booked the cruise & paid for it....

  7. So, our July cruise was cancelled yesterday. My husband got an email from Royal telling him that. I didn't get an email however. MY email is the contact email for our account.

We are going to opt for the 125% FCC, but since they sent my husband an email and not me... will the FCC be for BOTH of us or just him?

    TIA!

Royal does not do Panama Canal cruises on a regular or even a seasonal basis.  There was a gap of a couple of years between about 2013 and 2015, and then another gap until 2018. Serenade is doing a Westbound full transit on May 4, if there is any space to grab. Final payment is coming soon, so cabins may open up.

Can't go this year...that's why I am waiting on the 2021/2022 season...

I didn't think the channel into Key West was deep enough for Oasis class.  Has this changed?

I guess there will be some eastern itineraries to utilise Perfect Day though.

Regardless, Allure's itineraries will differ from the current ones from Galveston.  Good news, and way overdue!

Oh, you may be right...I didn't know that about Key West... Just wishful thinking on my part.

I agree, they will be sending something to CoCo Caye from Galveston, I'd imagine...

And yes, because they can't get her in to Cayman or Belize.... they will have to get more creative with their itineraries... interesting to think about what they might do...

Changes, they are a comin' for Galveston..... 🙂

They won’t be able to do Grand Cayman or Belieze

Ooooo that's right! Allure can’t do those ports!

I HOPE the Allure (from Galveston) will go east some of the time. So tired of the same ol’ Roatan, Belize (or Costa Maya), Cozumel. Or Grand Caymen, Jamaica, Cozumel rotations.

They used to go to Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel... Back in the early 2000’s.

The Enchantment is doing a few runs to Key West, Coco Caye & Nassau this year from Galveston... we’re booked in July.

So it can be done from Galveston...

It's looking like no Panama Canal full transit in 2021, Celebrity doesn't have any either.  Such a disappointment.

I looked yesterday & found that Celebrity DID have full transits in 2021.... I looked at one ...15 days... San Diego to FLL.   Cost for two in a balcony was just over $7,000!

Just stopped by NextCruise.  Allure from Galveston itineraries are loaded in the system but not open for booking yet.

First cruise to be a 4 night in Nov. 2021.

I'm assuming a 2 or 3 day crew only repo followed by a 4 night revenue first cruise.

NextCruise is going to call me if they open during this sailing.

Just looked at the last sailing of Allure from Port Canaveral in 2021..it sails from PC on Oct 31 and returns to PC on Nov 7th.

So... there will be a full week after the 7th for it to reposition to Galveston. They "could" do 2 nites Crew Only & a 5 niter cruise or like you said a 3 nite Crew Only & a 4 niter cruise before the first 7 niter on Nov 14th.

I am so stoked about this!!!
