  1. I believe that it's part of the Europe Itineraries for this coming season.
  2. Here in is the Club Orange room service breakfast menu. You can see the fresh orange juice listed. This is from the Nieuw Statendam in December. I expect that the one from the Rotterdam later this week will be the same.
  3. I assume you are on the Rotterdam. If so, we're in the same boat. I tried adding some events to my itinerary. It looked like it was working at first. Things even showed on my daily itinerary - briefly. Then, they'd fall off when checked back later. We have to wait until we are on the ship.
  4. They do enforce it at our table. Granted, it's only ever people with whom we're traveling. But if you fail to deliver the sartorial splendor, you can expect stink eye, taunting and other things, like the "cruelty of the day." Also, our minimum expectations are higher than the published dress code.
  5. POA1

    OBC

Technically, yes. They all need to be verified ahead of time because they're good on future bookings. Military verification is once and done. The others need to be done manually. You might get lucky, but then you may be denied if you verified after booking. It's not exactly a long, arduous process. You should be able to get it done online with minimal fuss. From what Understand, the educator credit might require additional documentation if you retired, particularly if the school is no longer there.
  6. Today on the Rotterdam, Blueberry Croissant Bread Pudding with warm vanilla rum sauce. To add a cruel note: Apple Crumble Tart - but it's no sugar added. I'm seeing these because we sail on the Rotterdam on Friday.
  7. If you add HIA for passengers 3 or 3&4, they get Wi-Fi. HIA always includes internet access. What differs is whether or not it includes gratuities, aka crew appreciation. HIA+, which is the early booking bonus version, does include crew appreciation. HIA+ is is normally the version when you are booking well over a year in advance.
  8. I have not had it, but if it's on the 9 day menu cycle for the Rotterdam, I'll give it a try... for science. The Rotterdam is on the 12 day cycle right now and we join for the 9 day on Friday.
  9. Ocean Players Club is a Carnival Corp subsidiary. It handles the casino stuff for all the brands.
  10. Tonight's Rotterdam MDR bread pudding is chocolate hazelnut with a vanilla rum sauce. Again, not showing on the Lido menu. Perhaps the MDR bread puddin' is a reward for putting on long pants. 😉
  11. No, Because you can't cover the beverage package once you are on the ship. You're already there, so you can't cancel. The HIA costs more onboard than when purchased in advance. I think it's $10/day more.
  12. Military OBC does not have to be renewed. All the others do. It should show up as a credit on your Mariner ID when booking. Unless you are booking a deeply discounted fare, like some casino rates, standby, etc. - It should be available. If you are booking really far out, your PCC or TA may have to get it manually applied. IIRC, it is preloaded for the current year and the following year.
  13. I'm glad to hear your first night of stationary cruising was good. There was a lot of "weather" across the country yesterday. There were plenty of flight delays. Almost all the ships leaving Fort Lauderdale were a couple hours late. I'm not sure if that would have impacted the West Coast though.
  14. Look at the booking confirmation PDF. It will tell you which passengers have the beverage package and any other HIA perks. If it just says 1,2 then passengers 3 & 4 do not have HIA. You can have it manually added if the math makes sense for you. Odds are that the kids will use the shore excursion credit and there's almost a 100% chance they want Wi-Fi. HIA would make sense if they drink soda, smoothies, bottled/canned water, or milkshakes. The breakeven is 6-7 non alcoholic beverages per day.
  15. There is a link to the Easter Brunch in the Pinnacle Grill, but the link is broken. It's a 404 Not Found error. I reported it twice, the first time being two months ago. It's still not fixed. (Shocker! Because linking to a PDF is apparently hard.) They don't post the MDR brunch menus into the app normally. I'll take photos of the brunch menu and post it in the live from thread that I'll be subjecting you all too in a few days.
  16. I'm just telling you what I've seen during our December cruise on the Nieuw Statendam and our upcoming one on the Rotterdam. It's a bread puddin' party of the first order on the MDR dinner dessert menu. For the record, I'm team fruit crisp. The only one I've seen in the rotation is rhubarb. I happen to like rhubarb, as does my wife, but it trails far behind the apple, blueberry, and cherry varieties in terms of popularity here in the US. I also enjoy a scoop of vanilla ice cream, strictly for the calcium content. (Don't want to have brittle bones now that I'm on life's downslope.)
  17. OK... I've been watching sail away threads for years, but I don't know what the significance of the white trucks is. Help a brother out.
  18. The ones in the MDR have varying sauces. For example, tonight on the Rotterdam, they have Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding with Crème Anglaise.
  19. U Yes, you can get feather pillows. Ask your TA or PCC to add it to your booking's special services. Extra pillows is also an option.
  20. The condo (by the sea) where the webcam lives is shorter than the Enormousness of the Seas triplets. I was talking to someone who did a week on the Oasis. She said she was exhausted at the end of the week because there's so much to do.
  21. There was severe weather yesterday and this morning in Fort Lauderdale. That probably accounts for the delayed departures of most ships. (Note that I did not say all.) Skies to the west of Port Everglades are clearing and you can see blue now.
  22. There is a breakfast bread pudding on the MDR breakfast menu. I asked for a "little bit to taste," but it's pre-bowled (like pre-plated, but with a bowl.) It was quite good. We each had a few spoonfuls, but if I ate the whole thing, I'd need a nap after breakfast. Too many breakfast carbs makes POA1 a sleepy boy. 😴 It was really good though. The candied fruit gave it sort of a fruitcake vibe. (I am one of those freaks who like a good fruitcake.) I have not seen this on the Lido breakfast menu, which is a rarity. The Lido usually has more selections. CROISSANT AND BREAD PUDDING pomegranate seeds, candied citrus Anyway... It's in the Something Simple section of the breakfast menu, right above the Benedicts. If you are a bread pudding afficionado, and it seems like there are quite a few, give it a shot.
  23. Just a note: You can add Have It All to Standby, but Standby does not pair with any of the community appreciation offers, like AARP, first responders, military & veterans, or the "Who the heck is this one targeting?" University of Washington alums who hold a season ticket to any Washington Huskies sports team. I am not making that last one up. Because the standby booking's can clear pretty close to sailing, you'll want to add HIA immediately. The repurchased items data gets sent to the ship about 3 days prior to sailing, and advance purchases will be restricted after the deadline. Missing the deadline would cause you to have to add HIA onboard, where it's $10/day more. I think that's what was referred to by @expattraveler After all, that extra $10/day kind of runs counter to scoring a sweet, sweet cruise deal.
  24. You are going to be in heaven. There's practically a different bread pudding every day for dessert at dinner. Bread pudding is the new fruit crisp.
