Oh I know what you mean. I've seen those elsewhere. RuthC is right -- HAL's are regular hangers.

Can you tell me the name of the service?...we are in SD and would like to check it out!
Covid check today

I think the wooden hangers have those tiny hooks that only work in the closet.

We leave Oct 31 from SD and getting covid tests is quite stressful. We live here and found you must call ahead, as who actually does the test keeps changing. In addition to a few CVS spots the Intensive Care places sometimes do. Also there is a place near the SD airport. I strongly recomend online search then followup phonecall.

Here neither Walgreen's or CVS is doing any kind of tests, but our Urgent Care does. It has been changing week to week in our area. I gave up and ordered a Mobile unit to come to the house, prepaid. It seems the only thing reliable at the moment except for Abbott and I hear they are out of kits. My backup is Urgent Care....

I am getting a mobile test. They will come to my house Friday, we sail Sunday

Kaiser will test for travel but I’m not comfortable that we will receive the results before we cruise. We cruise on a Sunday so we would need to be tested on Friday.

You can reach them at www.covidchecktoday.com
Good luck!

Hi from Coronado. We will be on that cruise too. I am more worried about the covid test than a costume!
-
From Coronado I can see Koningsdam! We sail Oct 31( if we pass our covid test)

Here in Coronado California we have a mobile unit that comes to your house and tests you outside with quick results. You might have that in your town. I plan to use that before our San Diego cruise October 31. Hope that works out!!!

We will be on the 6 day from our home port San Diego too. We love these repos too and do not see any lessening of the experience. After all, it is a continuation of a cruise in progress so why would it suddenly be lower quality?
-
We are going on that cruise too. In my experience they never shortchange passengers because some get off in 4 days. If you think about it that makes no sense.

I enjoy the original art very much. The religious services is important to us, particularly on the longer cruises. The staff is amazing and the one thing no we can all agree on. Something that I hope you never have to rate is the medical services which is excellent. I love the feeling I get when I first board and even like the photo stop!

I'm a reader. I love libraries, bookstores, and my 2 kindle Fires. That doesn't mean I always know what is out there that I would enjoy. On every cruise I check what books are on board with me and find something I hadn't heard of. Bookshelves and comfy chairs are an amenity I am very sorry to lose.

When we traveled with our family of 10 we used to put a small dry erase board on our door to post where we were. Sometimes another passenger would add something for fun.:D:D Now we use our cell phones for messages.
I appreciate other people's decorations as it helps me find our room. Playing is good!

We always bring a battery tea light or 2 for a night light in the bathroom.

A gty has been our ONLY option for our coastal cruises.I do not think this is the case. The reason lines offer guarantees is because there are cabins which have NOT been selected and the line wants to get the highest price possible for them. A gty might be the only thing offered, but, if you insisted, they would have something available for you - just perhaps not at the price you want to pay for it. -
We leave May 1 and I printed the documents with no problem from the new site . I was relieved!

Expedited disembarkation was quite easy once I found the roped/stanchion line leading to the gangway. Even arriving at 7:15 AM, I found most of the passengers ahead of me were scheduled to disembark at 8:00 AM. At 7:35 AM, everyone in line was allowed to disembark.
I was the third passenger choosing a taxi at 7:45 AM for my trip to the airport. The driver told me that he could not make any pickups from the airport but had to return to the cruise terminal empty for his passengers that day. Taxis dropping passengers from the airport were not allowed to pick up from the cruise terminal. Strange laws.
After dropping off my one bag at the Delta Check-in, I entered the Security Zone and noticed hundreds of folks in snaking rows before I spotted the Global Entry line with only eight people. I smiled.
Your Global Entry card must be carried and shown several times during processing. Even though I have TSA PreCheck, it did not apply in Canada so laptops and belts had to be removed. The next step was negotiating the kiosks where your fingerprints and passport are scanned. It took me five attempts to have my fingers perfectly aligned for scanning. With my printed Immigration photo paper in hand, I processed quickly through IS Immigration and noticed a huge sign welcoming me to the United States.
After what seemed like a half marathon walk, I was seated at my Delta gate at 8:45 AM for my 11:25 AM flight to Seattle. Prior to boarding, I heard an announcement that passports would need to be checked again during the boarding process. My flight was delayed about 20 minutes which I learned was typical.
My long day ended as I parked in my driveway in Albuquerque at 11:00 PM.
I unpacked, completed my post-cruise survey, and ordered my replacement scanner before bedtime.
My photo review requires me to convert my images from RAW to jpg files for uploading to the internet and I hope to have that completed by next week. Lots of scanning to be done when my scanner arrives next Friday.
Thanks for following this thread.
This is why we use the bus to Seattle after a coastal. If it works for you, it is much simpler and calmer. Or spend a day in Vancouver and take the train. Obviously we spend a night or two in Seattle.

I just bought those small battery operated candles for night lights....what a great idea! They will work perfectly if there is no plug in the bathroom for my night light. Thanks to you all who suggested it!
:)
We always take them. Also a small magnetic white board to leave messages and an over the door transparent shoe holder for all the small stuff.

I am one that dislikes the recorded popular music disturbing the quiet of being at sea. I would enjoy coming across some musicians playing in a room as I pass. What a treat!

In the minority here but we self insure for cancelling even when we travel with 9 family members (we pick up the tab). We have saved so much we certainly can cruise many times over with the savings. If we have to cancel in the future we are still way ahead. BUT we always have medical evacuation insurance and needed it in Mexico 2 years ago. The plane, pilots, and nurse was $300,000. (The insurance company was Travelgard and I believe they got that price reduced.)

Agree, we are over 20 years on HAL, and have been to many Lido deck cookouts. Last March on KDAM was the first time in many years without a cookout. We did a 22 day Eurodam Baltic/Norway/Great Britain cruise in 2013 with 3 cookouts, all themed to the areas we were in. Even included German food and oompah band (brought on for a late night in port) on the German themed meal.
Absolutely our experience and we have the photos to prove it. I remember one when we were docked in Shanghai.....
