  1. We've been in 4119 and 4147 on the Pride and 4124 on the Miracle.. no noise issues. We love the 4k cabins for their size (having the couch is always a plus), deck 4 location, peek-a-boo view of the water and natural light.
  2. You just have to play the $25 through once and can cash out any paybacks. So, you could do 5 $5 spins or 25 $1 dollar spins, etc. and keep any proceeds from hits. Instead of slots, you can also take a $25 play-it-till-you-lose-it chip and play roulette or blackjack as well... bet it on black, for example.
  3. Our only real complaint about the food in our cruises in the year or so after the restart was with the steaks. Not the cook, but the quality of the meat - extremely tough and gristly, even fillets. Stopped ordering steak for a while, but got back into it a few cruises ago and all has been well. We're not foodies - we just look for satisfying meals (mostly from the MDR). All in all over the past year, I'd say 9 times out of ten our dishes fell between "better than decent" and "pretty darn good" with the remaining 1 out of 10 either being a miss or something so good we try to recreate it at home.
  4. one note on the spirit class (Legend) is that it is the favorite class among many, many Carnival cruisers (including us). If it was my choice, I'd take new ports + a spirit class ship. That being said, we've never had a cruise (Carnival or otherwise) we didn't enjoy. Of your choices, they look like four ice cream sundaes, one with a cherry on top!
  5. a couple other long shot ideas... it sounds like you could really benefit from an actual conversation with someone in the department that handled the issuing of the checks... 1) maybe John Heald or his assistant could provide you a relevant phone contact if you briefly explained the reason why... 2) you could try an end-around on LinkedIn... hundreds of Carnival employees listed there and I saw at least a couple refund related titles in a brief search... chances are extremely low that you could find someone directly to help you, but the idea is just to find someone who can give you the phone contact of someone who can help you...
  6. Not sure how much time has gone by... and this is a long shot idea.. but could you request (using your existing email thread to provide the context and explanation) an address change back to your correct address, have that second check cancelled and issue you a third correct check? You may, at least, find out if that second check was cashed in the process.. in which case you would know for sure it was a case of fraud...
  7. Damajagua Waterfalls... we hardly ever do anything twice, but we've done these twice...
  8. I think the major selling point of Park n Cruise is that it is at most a 5 minute walk from the garage to the terminal. I think you'd spend a lot more than 5 minutes in the terminal traffic just to drop off and get back out and back around to Park n Cruise - especially if you have an earlier arrival appointment.
  9. Yes for plat/diamonds. It's only on 5+ day cruises. Usually on the last sea day in the afternoon before dinner and lasts 30 minutes or so. Yes, usually a selection of champagne, wine and pretty stiff rum punches (and a blue drink - I'm not sure what it is). You can also order other common drinks from the servers. If you're in the mood to tie one on, it's usually pretty easy to do so (and grab one for the road...)
  10. Had this message for the first time from Carnival on embarkation day a few weeks ago... Hi There, Your cruise day has finally arrived! Please remember that you must bring your boarding pass in order to access the cruise terminal. Please click here to print or save (to your mobile device). See you soon! Thanks Carnival Cruise Line Does the bit about "save (to your mobile device)" mean you don't have to print anymore? I don't have use for a home printer anymore, so this would save a trip to the print shop before each cruise...
  11. Very much looking forward to your Jubilee live! If you take in the new show for Jubilee - I think it's called Dear Future Husband - I would love to hear your take... same for the new deck party (I think it's a deck party) called Lone Star Tailgate... oh, and if you try any of the Dr Inks specialty drinks, a thumbs up/down would be much appreciated!
  12. Indeed! One other note is that you don't actually have to sit down for brunch... you can just swing by the dining room reception desk anytime during brunch and they will hook you up with bar service and you can be on your merry way with drink in hand...
  13. Yes!... there's a water taxi company about 5 min walk from port caribewatersportbonaire.com/water-taxi/ that will take you out to No Name Beach on Kleine Bonaire for $25 rt pp. The...most incredible... shore snorkeling we've ever experienced. They also drop you for the 30-45min drift into the beach (if you want) for no extra charge... Aruba tends to be a long port day on most itineraries. We rented a car ($60 all in) and beach hopped (for snorkeling) the entire length of the island... from baby beach at the far southeast up to tres trapi (the three steps) in the northwest. We hit the Donkey Sanctuary for a non-beachy thing to do along the way and that was great fun (if you like donkeys, rescue cats and peacocks)... good organization run by good people for a good purpose...
  14. We were on the Pride twice last year, the first time immediately after it's dry dock. Love this ship/class. It's a small thing, but I really enjoyed the new carpeting in the public areas and especially in our cabin. One structural change was the bottom floor of the (formerly) 2-story nightclub was removed (I think in relation to the chef's table @jsglow mentioned above). We had previously enjoyed the quirky feel of Dr. Frankenstein's 2-level club on Miracle, but just missed out on the Pride's 2-story version. The casino drink service seemed normal as usual - a little hit and miss. Sometimes I could get 3 drinks inside 20 mins, other times it could take 20 min to get 1 drink from the time it was ordered. All in all, pretty good though...
  15. we had a 14 day journeys last year with a fresh menu every night... no repeats...
