  1. Especially if you are going to book business class. Space is very limited
  2. The offer we got from the ship is also better than we have been getting lately in that it is a free balcony not inside and $600 free play per person but it can’t be even looked at until 20 days after the cruise and has a very tight window so I will need to try and do some negotiating with casino group
  3. Just don’t expect food to be as hot or cold as you like since all courses will arrive at one time
  4. We take the train to Vancouver for cruises but always go in the day before. There is no guarantee there will not be a delay on route. We have had several occasions over the years where this has happened
  5. Yes you should get a fresh mini bar on each 7 day segment and a free specialty dinner on each embarkation night. Just as a note on our recent b2b cruise in June they did not zero out our folio after the first week but carried the balance over to the second week. That was a first for us
  6. We prefer Sabatini’s but if you opt for Crown Grill there has always been a sea bass main in the past
  7. Whenever a ship leases Victoria for Vancouver the casino does not reopen. Just on b2b on the Discovery
  8. On the the Discovery last week they were using Vista lounge for that but it was pretty empty late night
  9. We always sail Plus in a full suite. Much prefer Grand class ships to Royal class. We rarely use the concierge on Royal class except to get issues dealt with, speciality dining or help avoiding crowds when disembarking. Would rather hang at bars or casino to drink and now that ships are sailing at capacity the Royal class are way too crowded and loud
  10. First night dinner just call done line when boarding. Mimi bar will be there when you get there and you can call room service to make any changes. You do not need any dinner reservations you will be in club/reserve class dining probably in mid ship deck 6 dining room. Little or no wait. Just look for the entrance marked reserve or club
  11. There are people for whom the standalone beverage package works better. That would be people who don’t want Wi-Fi and your cabin mate does not drink anything but tap water
  12. That is a pretty common offer that we generally ignore unless we are going on a cruise anyway. We got a bounce back offer after our cruise a few weeks ago for free balcony and $600 free play person. There are some limits on it so I will need to do some negotiations with casino group (offers received on leaving ship cannot be handled by our CVP)
  13. It’s all really a guess until the ship sails and we hear back from people
  14. I have always thought it was 2 bottles per cabin
  15. We have used the 1night cruises to commute between Seattle and Vancouver since it was cheaper than a hotel room in Seattle plus train ride. We do this if it can be done as a b2b same cabin same ship.
  16. Yes I always call when I board and ask for either Sabatini’s or Crown Grill for 7:30 and have always gotten that on the last 20 cruises I have taken in full suites. Even before we moved up to fI’ll suites we have never booked in advance and we have been on 52 Princess cruises. In fact we have rarely seen Sabatini’s ever full at that time on any night of the cruise.
  17. I am always so surprised that first night suite specialty dining is a big deal. You do not need to schedule it !!! The restaurants hold tables out for full suites Just call the dine line or concierge when you board and you will get what you want. It should be noted that this is for cruises 6 days or longer only
  18. True that I have $1,200 in FCC from Covid that must use by May 2024. But if you have FVD you can get a refund unlike FCD
  19. I have never seen a good selection of beers on any Princess ship. In Alaska you will find some legroom the Alaskan Brewery but very few decent IPA’s will be around
  20. That is not how the Beni fit works. On board there are announcements as to which lounge to get tender tickets for elites. They will send you down in groups from there. You can’t just go to the line and barge through
  21. On the Discovery last 2 weeks all self service laundry was free no tokens needed. That is of course if you can get to a washer.
  22. It has always been written as priority ship to shore. Never had bee offered as shore to ship. Either you don’t read things carefully or you just make slot of assumptions
  23. Should not be a problem. We were just on the Discovery b2b RT Seattle and on both cruises several people boarded at Ketchikan and the only Canadian port was Victoria
