  1. I will say coming from FL, I didn't realize or research that in June the weather could be spotty. Super friendly staff, best of any ship we have been on. Shops on board were lackluster, which was surprising. Considering this is a giant ship , I didn't notice many bells and whistles. Other than the slides, it seems that most of the ship is lounges, restaurants and cabins. I was kind of expecting more things to do. As long as there was a sun at sea we were fine, but the 61 and rainy day was a little tough for finding things to do. Loved the Thermal Spa, Choir of Men and The Brat Pack shows. Food was very good in specialty dining and O Sheehan's. Typical in buffet. Mini suite was fabulous!
  2. We were on this cruise as well. Bummed about a couple of the weather days, but certainly not NCL's fault. LOVED Bermuda.
  3. Agreed. We just got off today and LOVED this show and the Brat Pack.
  4. No upgrade for Sunday on the Escape. Sticking with our mini :)
  5. I only bid on Aft Haven but I think they were all sold out....only the forward facing was available at my last look. I guess we will find out soon...Good luck!
  6. What is the best way to get from LaGuardia to Times Square? This is where our pre cruise hotel is located. We come in tomorrow. Any advice on pricing?
  7. Is the Star similar to the Pearl? We took them on a Panama Canal cruise for 11 days on the Pearl last year and they had no problem with the ship not having huge bells and whistles.
  8. Lucky! We sail Sunday and I think all the Havens are sold out. Can't tell anymore since they don't show the cruise on NCL.com anymore for our sail dates.
  9. That one sea day is my other concern....I am toying with switching the cruise to the Star out of Venice to Greece...seems even though same 1 sea day...more relaxing ports. Less go, go go. Thoughts? We will be traveling with 15 and 12 year old at time of sailing. They all wanted the Barcelona one...but I worry it's going to be really tiring and more of a trip than a vacation.
  10. I’m über late to the vibe party. We sail Sunday and not a very early board time. Sooo... this is probably good information for the next cruise! Board early to get a pass.
  11. So is my understanding that when we leave Barcelona....and get to Rome, some people will be embarking and disembarking at that port? Like a continuous on and off of passengers at the two ports? Maybe I should research the Rome cruise and Rome airfare to see if it works better for our budget. More cruise cost, significant air difference pricing. I'd rather not feel like stepchildren....so is Barcelona better for this?
  12. I have the Epic booked for 2019 out of Barcelona and am wondering why it is at least 100 pp less expensive than leaving from Rome? What is the reason for the pricing difference? Same ship, same ports, but in reverse. New to Europe cruising....any ideas or pros/cons to leaving from one port over the other? Our big expense is air....we will be coming from Florida.
  13. What does Vibe offer? I am all about not hunting down loungers. Is this an adult only area? Music or quiet area?
  14. Yep all sold out now! Our Mini Suite is going to be A-mazing and I still have so much extra $ in my pocket. I am always a believer things work out as they are meant to.
